Chili (original recipe from the school lunch room)-bwatcher 2 lbs. of hamburger, browned and then drain the grease 1 medium onion, chopped up small and browned with the hamburger 2 cans kidney beans 2 cans tomato soup 2 soup cans of tomato juice 1 28 oz. can tomatoes-mashed 1 cup ketchup 1 tsp chili powder 3 tsp salt 1 quart of water Simmer together-makes 5 quarts. This is my version of the above recipe. Even I didn't make it correct according to the directions. Chili 1.5 lbs. of hamburger (80/20), browned and drain the grease. 1 Tbs. of McCormick Minced Dried Onion Flakes 2 15.5 oz cans light or dark red Kidney Beans-drained 2 10.75 oz cans Campbell's Tomato Soup 1 11.5 oz can Campbell's Tomato Juice from concentrate (comes in what looks like a pop can) 1 28 oz. can Hunt's Diced Tomatoes 1 cup Hunt's Ketchup 2 tsp Chili Powder 3 cups of water Simmer together. I have even added a small can of Mild Rotel Tomatoes to my chili for a change of pace. Hubby like spicy, me not so much. I rinse out all the cans from the tomato products with the water called for in the recipe and then dump the water back into the pot.
