Better Homes & Gardens New Cookbook: Chili Con Carne- wilderness
Cook Time : 1 hr Servings : 4 servings Source : Ingredients
1 pound ground beef 1 large onion sliced 1 chopped green pepper 1 (1-pound) can tomatoes, broken up 2 (1-pound) can dark red kidney beans, drained 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 to 2 Tablespoons chili powder 1 bay leaf Directions
In a heavy skillet, cook meat, onion, and green pepper until meat is lightly browned and vegetables are tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Remove bay leaf.
This is a recipe I discovered when I was on my diet this summer that I find very good. This may become my new go to chili recipe.
