Feather Bone Pork-Auntcon
I brown them under the broiler-if not they just go in the crock pot after sprinkling them with salt and pepper and pouring on some BBQ sauce. I have a BBQ sauce recipe that is light and good. This is the sauce: 1/4 cup Ketchup 1 tsp Dry Mustard 1 small can Tomato sauce 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 cup Brown sugar 1/4 tsp Chili powder 1 tablespoon Paprika (May need 2 tbsp.) 1/4 cup Vinegar 1 small can Water 1. Start Riblets or feather bones at 450° and cook for 15 minutes to brown them. 2. Lower oven temp to 350°, cover meat with the sauce and bake for 1 1/2 hours, turning the meat about every 20 minutes to a half hour. You may need to cook as long as 3 hours. Can be made in the crock pot...allow about 6-8 hours on low for this method. 3. This is a wonderful barbecue sauce for any meat recipe.
