We are back home after a whirlwind, hectic couple of days.
The wedding was absolutely wonderful and I am so proud of our son and his new wife. They put so much thought into the planning of the ceremony, ensuring that family and friends were involved, could see and hear everything. The officiant stood in the aisle, slightly behind the guests, with the bride and groom facing us.
I could go on but I don't want to bore everyone - suffice to say both families and their friends had a fabulous day, with lots of lovely memories :) .
Tonight we had spaghetti and meatballs, with garlic bread, courtesy of the freezer.

((Helen)), much love and prayers to you and your DH. I'm sorry it has gotten to the point where you are no longer able to keep him at home (I remember that difficult day we had to face that fact with my DF). You do not owe anyone here an apology for leaving us so abruptly--your hubby comes first and that's just the way it is. How is he adjusting to the memory care center? That is wonderful that you've been able to and will continue to spend time with him, but a word of warning--take care of yourself, don't put yourself last (like I did for 12 years). Please know we are here for you--if you'd like to talk or vent, whenever you can, stop in. Lori

I enjoyed my subbing this afternoon. Really sweet group of students. I will be going back to the same school for Thursday and Friday, again in 1st grade, but a different teacher. Introduced myself to her this afternoon and she was so excited to meet me. She made me feel good--fellow teachers in the school as well as office staff told her the class will be in good hands with me and the amount of experience I bring with me.
Ann, I will try to post the pea salad recipe tomorrow if I can. I have an appointment in the morning to get my hair highlighted, then in the afternoon I have an eye doctor appointment. If I can't "see", it might have to wait until later in the week.
Bet, I just want to say how much the Lions mean to me. I have a major in Special Education--Visually Impaired. The Lions did so much for me when I graduated from college and my first teaching job---they were a real blessing.
Tasty, so excited to read about the wedding! Glad family and friends had such a wonderful time and shared many new memories for all to hold close to their hearts. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs.
Betsy, how are the new A/C units working?
Need to get to bed, it's been a long day. Goodnight friends.

Lori, you are a very special person...substituting for teachers and their students is the toughest work on the planet in my humble opinion! I am a retired kindergarten sometimes k-1 teacher. I loved my work however, I would NEVER substitute...just too hard! So , my hat is off to you..God Bless you for all that you do...

Bet,I love Greek food and your salad sounds great.
Helen, hope tour husband's transition is an easy one. I suspect it might be even harder on you. Hope it goes well for both of you.
