Gayle, did you mean to post this in Cooks Crock? I'd c&p it to move but my highlighting capability is not working too well. I ended up posting in the Garden Shed for folks to come here tonight for Chit Chat.
DH's doctor's appointment is behind us. I FINALLY got some action for DH. More tests are being run and a different course of action is in place. We also got a referral on a new neurologist. It'll mean some driving for us, but our primary care guy likes the work of the two doctor's in the practice. He agreed with me that DH just seeing a NP with his medical history is a terrible idea. So, while the possible diagnosis isn't one we relish we are at least feeling like DH isn't falling through the cracks anymore. Treatment, proper treatment, is possible. DH's appointment has been the primary focus of my day. I spent the morning trying to decrypt the medical records SS sent us. What a flippin' joke that was! They sent us their internal documents and letters they'd already sent to us, which I had copied. No medical information was shared at all. I felt so discouraged when I finally determined what we was sent. I don't think it will be necessary now. The doctor did some preliminary assessments of his own so I don't think DH will have to do the testing he was wanting to avoid. So glad I wasted my time with SS. Grrr!!!
That's about it for my day.
Gayle, I can only imagine how hard you had to bite your tongue to keep from telling your DSon he might have called to tell you they weren't coming. Glad you got a week picked out for the kids to come, but sorry the weather won't cooperate for your DSon to come this weekend. The rain we thought was surely a given today has been spotty at best and light when it came ... very disappointing. I hope you at least get the rain that kept your family away this weekend. I'm happy for you that your day improved.
