I have had a really stressful ending to my day! Sometimes I think DCF is way too dictitorial. They sent a letter to a judge using me in it! I never gave them permission to do so and none of what they claimed was what I said at all! So I had to straighten them out and they did not have a release of information to use my name. Violation of laws of confidentiality! Had to call them on that. Now they have to reschedule and have a meeting with me first! Urgh! My advocacy is for my clients not them. This couple needs their son back. The DCF worker is really close friends with the foster mother and she wants to adopt the baby so the DCF worker is working for that to happen not for the boy to be returned to his parents. And these two have done all that has been asked of them and more! So unfair. I have another couple who should in no way have their kids and DCF will not take them. Do not understand any of this!
Chris (thanks for letting me vent!)

Chris--this is the place to vent--it's a safe spot. We all need to do it at one time or another.

Thanks for all the support and good wishes, friends. I just got back home after the first showing of the house. I think it all went well, according to the realtor. I took the opportunity to take myself to supper so had the crab leg special at Outback. Oh goodness, was it ever delicious!
Bet, your flowers are outstanding! I've never been an outside person but so admire those who grow beautiful and delicious things.
Tammy, I'll be moving to the Dallas area. Probably one of the Plano suburbs.
Exciting and anxious day! I'll be putting my head down soon. Sweet dreams to all.

Well had a successful day in Atlantic. The ring I took to him to redo in Yellow gold will be so pretty. I picked out the ring to put the 4 diamonds in with a sapphire in the middle. He told me the one diamond was over 100 years old all 4 are in good shape. I had some old rings here that were grandparents and the white gold of Mom's ring so will have over $150.in trading them in. So if anyone has old rings turn them in and collect as they weigh them. Now I am excited to see it done.I also shopped at Wally World and spent enough money there!! So then came home.
Marge came out to get her devotion booklet out of her mailbox at church and came down and we had a beer outside then played 3 games of cards. I beat her so bad when I had oil changed in my car and today she won two and me one game and she went home. It is a nice day to sit outside. But don't like the bugs. We are going to little town for supper tomorrow night. We called the gal that makes table runners for me so she will go with us and I found material to have her make another one for me. The place is Elkhorn and they make tenderloin sandwiches last time we had chicken strips. So will see what looks good tomorrow night.
Bet that looks like a lot of work but so pretty. Marge has so many flowers around her place too. I have 6 planters here and that enough for me to take care of. My geraniums are the real deep red ones.

It was a crazy busy day -- had to check the calendar to make sure there wasn't a full moon! Just nonstop all day long. So I was ready to come home and relax. DH picked up subs for our dinner -- he's the best.
Bet, thanks for the pictures. Just beautiful! All the work and time you put into your yard and flowers really shows.

Helen-I have friends that live in Plano. I went to college in Dallas and so did my son was at Dallas Baptist University. We were at Christ for the Nations. We went at the same time. So it was cool being at college at the same time as my son.
Elza- Bet you are glad it is the week end! LOL Me too!
Marlene- Glad you are getting a good deal on the rings. I took 3 rings that I couldn't get on anymore and I got a lot for them. Was well worth taking them in.
Thanks Birdy! There a few days I wonder why I do what I do. LOL Then I have the successes and I know why! LOL
Bet- Love you pictures. Dan does a lot of work in our yard. He does a really nice job all along the split rail fence by the road. Then the fruit trees and raspberries and blueberries. And a raisedbed garden!
