Stella, I think Lair is right. The issue you are having is with your camera setting. The higher your setting the better the resolution, but it also makes your pictures really large. I remember DD trying to send me photos in an email years ago. The pics were so huge that it took forever to load when I tried to open it. When it finally opened, the pictures was so big that it was hard to even recognize what was in it.
I tried to see what size my pictures are on PB and they are showing up as 320 x 240 right now. I am sure I have some that are larger, though. I am not sure what you can do about editing your size if you are not able to by doing what you have tried. I'm sure you are frustrated. I felt that many times on previous versions of our boards. Just for sparks, can you change your settings on your camera and take a couple of pictures to upload to see if that makes a difference?
I wish I had a better answer for you!

Stella...do you still have pictures in Google plus? If so, I may be able to help some with that. If you are happy with this size picture:

My google plus pics are huge so like Karen said, it depends on the camera and camera settings you are using.

Stella, I don't know why PB won't let you change the numbers. Maybe it does have something to do with the camera settings. I don't know much about that.
Have you tried clicking on the picture here (before you actually post it) to see if those white boxes around the edges show up for you. If they do you can work with that.
Kathy, that looks good. What site is that from?

Does anyone know why some get the little white boxes Gayle was talking about and others don't? From what I understand some get them when clicking on a photo before posting...

Mary...I do not get them either and cannot tell you why some do and some don't....must have something to do with our personal settings.
I think we just need to go with the flow...post a picture...if it's too big or too small...who cares? LOL JMO Charlene

I use the PB app on my IPad & as far as I can tell there are no options for size. I am stuck with the size that comes up. On second thought though (imagine that! LOL) perhaps if I went to the actual website I might have options. Will check that later. Of course, my pictures of pretty things are few & far between other than my grands naturally! 😊

I'm sure everyone is right. It must be my camera (s). The Canon camera I took with me on the trip...my DIL took out the memory card to see if she can retreive the photos. I'll know next time I see her. The Sony is programmed as always. I never had problems with the sizing before. Maybe I'm not aware and had my 'fat' fingers click where they were not supposed to. Will check that out.
Gayle, I don't know why Photobucket will not resize my photos. It used to. I go to the edit icon....click....it goes directly to the different commands. I click on resize...nothing happens. This is so weird. Right now I don't have the patience, but will continue trying later on in the day.
Thanks for all your help.

Here you go, Gitti! When I clicked on the link it took me to your PB page where I could grab the DIRECT link for posting here. It was pretty big so I scaled it back a little bit. Beautiful sunset, by the way, and I love your avatar, too. I am wondering about something now that I think of it. When you get the link for Photobucket and put it in the landscape icon spot, are you deleting the http:// before you paste the code in the link window? It is highlighted for me when I go to do my pasting, but I just delete that and go with what is in the link I copied. That might be causing some people trouble with their posts.

Gitti...glad to see you here and I love your avatar! You are a pretty lady...we've got lots of lovely ladies here. I know this is your 1st picture post. It appears you copied the correct link...when you post in the reply box, you need to clcik on the landscape icon in the tool bar (to the right of the envelope) A box will come up and you need to click the image address into the 1st line. The 2nd line says "alt"...jst ignore it. After you have pasted the image in the 1st box, click on insert image. I do not know how to "scale it back" as Karen said, so maybe she can explain that to you. I don't use PB because my computer Malware doesn't like it.
Beautiful picture!! Charlene

Karen...I thought that you may have stumbled on something, but I copied Gitti's link and tried it both ways...seems the same. The 1st is with removing the HTTP that is highlighted and the 2nd is without removing it.

I tried to make the photo smaller....I had to use the edit function from Photobucket so part of the picture is cut off. This is a monument on display at the Athens Museum. That is beautiful!
