Good morning friends.
(((Lori))) Sorry you to hear you have heart problems. You are smart in getting a head start on finding a capable cardiologist.
(((Marlene))) I'm glad your MIL wasn't hurt when she fell.
Jan, So far so good with the job. It has it's issues like everyone all jobs but the house and days off work for me.
Tammy, Did you stop at the Yankee Candle factory? I bet the aroma in that place is wonderful.
No idea what I'm cooking tonight.
Have some things to do before I leave for work.
Enjoy your day.
Nancy

Heading out for work -- it will be busy since it's a Friday but that means the day will go by quickly. And we have peanut butter cup brownies. I didn't try one last night but they look really good. You make a 9x9 pan of brownies, then top them with chopped peanuts and peanut butter cups. Let it melt and spread over the brownies. After it's cooled, you make a mixture of chocolate chips, peanut butter and rice krispie cereal as the top layer. Should give us enough of a sugar rush to get through the day, right? :D
Lori, I was so sorry to hear about your heart issues. I'm very glad it's not giving you problems right now but like Nancy said, you are smart to go ahead and establish a relationship with a cardiologist. (((hugs)))
My younger sister is coming down this weekend so we will be working over at my mom's on Saturday. Slowly but surely. I know that we have plenty of stuff to have a good yard sale but honestly, none of us really wants to deal with the hassle. So I think that most of it will be donated to our local Hospice store.
I know it's officially fall but will still be near 90 degrees today. Ready for cooler weather! Have a good day everyone ~

Tammy, you're not going to stop at Yankee Candle without us, are you?
Wow, emr, those brownies sound fantastic. The top layer sold me!
When we were organizing my Mom's garage sale I just wanted to take everything home with me. I didn't really want the stuff, I just didn't want to see somebody buy it. Didn't make sense then or now, either.
Like Nancy, I don't have a clue what to cook. There are chicken thighs in refrig. Better think of something. Maybe soup as it's supposed to finally cool off.
Enjoy the day

I just shredded 3 Zucchini's and need to get bags for freezer while in town. Mark brought them out 2 large and one med. so have lots ! I put them in sealed containers in fridge until I get back home.
It is going to be "my" morning and going for a pedicure and way past with it. Will keep the brace off going to town and put on when coming home. Going to same place but to a gal who used to do mine in a different place. I asked for her as the other gals don't speak much English and don't do what you want, like trimming nails more!! So hope it is a good day.
Coming home and cleaning out a cupboard to put in my vehicle to take to Goodwill along with other things too. Jason made new shelves for a closet for all my Tupperware and containers for baking etc. So have lots of room now.
Good luck on going to Candle place Tammy the smell gets to me and get out real fast. I like to smell the candles but not all at once. I have one going in bathroom all the time they are the heated wax pieces. Like to smell the apple cinnamon, that is my favorite.
Have a good day everyone. Marlene

Good Morning ! Morning for me anyway! We are pretty much packed up and ready to move back to Vermont.
Today is gray and overcast.
We DID stop and Yankee Candles. At first DH said "do I have to go in?". I saw that there was a Christmas area so I said let's just look at Christmas, then you can go back to the truck. When we walked up to the building, which is about a city block long, all the doors are towards the back sides. We finally got in and realized that the entire building is one store! It's divided up into section such as home, toys, Christmas and of course, candles. DH couldn't smell much because his nose was stuffed up. And we left without buying a thing. There is also a tiny café area.
Waving to everyone!

Made a run to the nearest big town this morning as I needed a suitable purse for the wedding.
Lori, good idea to get in with a cardiologist before you really need him. You want someone you feel comfortable with. Hugs to you, my friend.
Marlene, good for you taking a day for you.. We all need that occasionally but you have had such a busy time recently, I know you are ready for one. I think once we get next week over with, I really need to start clearing out a lot of stuff from this house. We have so much stuff we rarely use and the kids either don't need or want. Somebody else may as well benefit.
Kay, I know what you mean about clearing out our mothers homes. We had to do my MILs last spring and then this spring I had to sell my Mum's house with no warning. So much stuff and there is very little that we were able to bring home with us on trans-Atlantic flights.
Elza, the brownies sound wonderful. Did hubby get to taste test them for you?
Tammy, we went to the Yankee Candle in Williamsburg last week. It too was huge. I love that place but my hubby's attitude was similar to your hubby's. He did come in and I got some nice mailbox covers which was what I had actually gone in for. I could spend lots of time in there if I was by myself - maybe why hubby came in too LOL.
Like you Nancy, I'm not sure what we will have for supper tonight. I do have a container of chilli ready made in the freezer or a beef vegetable soup. Either one will have corn muffins with it.
Have a fabulous Friday.

Good Friday afternoon to everyone. I had a nice big post all typed out to post yesterday and I hit the wrong button and "poof" it was gone-- totally my fault as there was nothing wrong with the site, just my fingers. I didn't try again as I started having company and thought I would come here today. I did go to the heart doctor yesterday at 8:00 in the morning and all was well for the time being. My daughter took me to doctor and when we got done we stopped for breakfast at Village Inn, it was good. I did buy a peach pie to bring home with me. By the time I got home and all my company left it was late in the afternoon and I was done for the day. I had three different sets of people at different times show up and it was so good seeing all of them. I guess it was my lucky day. I don't have a clue what I might have for supper tonight, it might just be a turkey sandwich and a piece of peach pie. I thought I ordered a new purse for fall and winter and when it came today it is really hugh. It is big enough you could pack in it for the week-end so will be sending it back. Well I better get going here and get something done as I have already had company this morning. I hope everyone will have a good week-end.

Good afternoon all. Weather seems to be pretty much the same all over the USA, another high 80's- low 90's today.
I guess for dinner I must have thirds with this chicken pot pie as the crust doesn't freeze well. A salad on the side and will call it good.
I'm about to head on over to Home Depot or Lowe's for some pots to transfer patio plants before they go root bound on me. Bought them for out front as a quick growing hedge between myself and "THAT" 😬neighbor (Nasty Jacaranda lady...I could write a book). Dont want to look at the ugly spiny cactus she put there on top of a stack of gray cinder blocks right up against my block wall. For years I had three established Australian tree ferns there but she didn't like them and then somehow killed all three at once.
Anyway I am not able to dig the grass out to make a flower bed so I just keep watering them on the patio. Sure muss DH at times like these!!! All my adult life I worked like a man in the front/back yards i.e. lifting heavy boulders or bricks (way too heavy for my size) once digging a 7' deep hole to get a tree trunk out (they still talk about that today) and in fact my DB brought it up the other day. Now my old bones are paying the price, so digging St Augustine for a flower bed is out... So frustrating! Need to get one of these boys over here to dig that 15' stretch of grass out for me. I am stubborn and I dont ask, figuring they know it needs done but guys are not wired like that, they need hit over the head with it...mine do anyhow ha ha. They are more than happy to help when I ask. HaHa, love❤️ my guys!!
Anyhow I better head on out before the Friday afternoon traffic starts at three. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Be back later to read. PS: always need to edit...I WILL hook up that computer, I WILL! 😊

Afternoon! Dry air has finally reached us. Supposed to get down into the 40's overnight. Bill is going hunting with his friend tomorrow...actually he scouts; his friend bow hunts. Tonight we are having German Sweet Potato Salad, wursts, and sauerkraut. Decided to spiralize the sweet potato...not bad! I also spiralized some purple top turnips, thick carrots, zucchini, and thick parsnips to use with sauce next week. With the pieces of veggies that don't spiralized, I made a Cream of no Cream veggie soup. We'll have that with sandwiches and I'll freeze some. So, I'm glad to be sitting!!! Tammy - I'm going to email you about next Friday. Good change...! There is a Yankee Candle on the Cape! Do you have Cape Cod Chip factory on your to do list!?!?! Lori - Sending encouragement; glad to read that you are being proactive about the cardiologist. Marlene - Never had a pedicure! Podiatrist said I'd like it if I got one. Tasty - Do you make your corn muffins from scratch. I have done that, but I found Hodgson's Mill to be good. Have to get a wiggle on...rested enough. Waving to all!

Never have made corn muffins from scratch, Ann. I picked up a couple of mixes in Williamsburg last week. This one has a bit more to it, including a can of creamed corn. Just going to make them up now and we can have them warm from the oven with chili.

Good evening friends! We've had a lovely day, so far. Began by going over to meet DBIL at the Magic Kingdom, where he works, and picked up our free park hopper tickets. We returned back to our place and spent the entire afternoon by/in the pool. So relaxing!
Getting ready to shower, then warm up dinner. I brought the leftovers from home and we'll finish those tonight for dinner. If we still have any left, we'll finish those for lunch tomorrow and plans are to go out for dinner tomorrow evening.
DH just said since it's such a nice night (still 90*), maybe we'll go walk the boardwalk and get some ice cream for a treat after dinner. Sounds good to me. Take care friends.

Chris, glad you made it safely to Grove City. Have a marvelous time!
Ann, I will watch for your message.
We did not make it into town for lunch, we just snacked and one of us napped( hint-not DH). We went to town - Bennington - and saw some places to eat but most were downtown and there was no way to park our big truck, so we kept driving and found a diner. It was good. I had one of my all time favorites, spaghetti and DH got a chicken fried steak. I think it was just a frozen premade patty, but when you are not in steak country you take what you can get!
We just got news that our young friends Justin and Hannah (The newlywed couple that we met up with when we were in Branson a few years ago), will be arriving in Baltimore on Wednesday. He is in training to own a Chick-Fil-A restaurant, and they move pretty much every month for a two year period. They usually stay a month at a time but actually ended up in Houston for about 3 months. We may try to meet up with them.
So, I didn't manage a hair cut today - Maybe tomorrow.
It has really turned cool here. Tomorrow's highs will be in the 60's but the 2 days following only in the 50's. Time to dig out some warmer clothes!
