Welcome to our first picture thread on our new site. Starting sooner than usual tonight since I expect we may have quiet a few drop in and maybe they would like to post. As always we invite everyone to post the picture or pictures (this is not follow the leader) of their choice.
I had some coleus in a container in this area last summer and then this year I have these volunteers come up and are doing pretty well.

This is one of my catch all shade plant pots. It looked much better before all the hot weather.

HSteve, love your coleus & such nice colours. Here is my first time growing them but in a pot. Hopefully I won't mess up getting the picture inserted & the size isn't too large. It is uploaded at Photo Bucket.

This was this time two years ago. Today that luscious green grass is mostly brown except for where the plants are watered.

Some lovely photos, folks. That coleus alone counts you as a gardener in my book, Angela, it really is beautiful.
I rarely take photos at all and wouldn't know where to start to upload them here so I shall enjoy seeing what everyone else does.

I use coleus all the time in containers in my shade gardens. Usually with Polka Dot plants. But I don't think I have any pictures of them stored on PB. And on my laptop so no access to picture files other than PB I didn't find the coleus but this is one of my shade containers that I've had for a few yrs. now. Moses in the Cradle & Vinca vine

Steve, for some reason I don't see any thumbnail photos on my Shutterfly and if I try and insert a photo from using copy image address the photo I have uploaded there it is much to large to actual post. Using BP I still have a large photo, can anyone here tell me how to resize and make the photo smaller. Charlene, this flower starting to bloom is from the Rose Lupine seeds you sent me a few months ago.

Such lovely flowers already...and I am sure there will be more. Mary...what a surprise that you are getting a bloom already! I said in another thread that if you are posting from PB there is a small box in the lower right hand corner (I think that is what Bette said) and that adjusts the size of the picture. I have many coleus, but I thought I'd share this: Our Naked Ladies Lilies are blooming now. I know many of you call them Magic or Surprise Lilies, but the lady that gave these to me referred to them as Naked Ladies...(cover your eyes Steve....lol)

These are my Irish Eyes rudbeckia that originally came from Kathy many moons ago. In front of that is one of my solar peacocks. Steve, your coleus is spectacular! Love it. Pretty planter, Kathy. Do you have orange impatiens in there, or is it vinca? I get them mixed up sometimes, but I really like them. Ili, what a pretty color your blooms are in your pic! I love your siggie, Wendy. Meant to mention that before. Your flowerbed and yard look so nice. It is too bad that the lack of rain is turning everything so brown. It is the same here, too. Angela, your coleus is strikingly gorgeous. All I can say is "Wow!" I agree with you, Tasty. Angela's coleus does make her a pretty darn good gardener. I store my pics on Photobucket. For the most part, I find it easy to use for posting my photos here. If you decide you'd like to try, just holler. I'm sure someone can talk you through the process. Sandy, your coleus planter is impressive. Do I see caladium in there also? I've grown rather fond of that since DM told me that it was one of DStepD's few favorites in their yard. Generally, he wasn't a flower kind of guy. Love the Moses in a Cradle and vinca vine, Gayle. You are smart to keep the vinca in a pot! I bought some pink yarrow from a plant sale at our senior center (maybe 10 years ago), only to discover it was loaded with vinca vine root too. I've been fighting it ever since. I'm sure it will be here long after I am gone. LOL! Mary, that is a lovely lupine. Stella sent me seed a few years ago and this was my first year for blooms. I hope to have a lot more next year. I purposely let it go to seed after reading that it does self-sow. We call them Resurrection lilies at our house, Charlene. My father-in-law planted them years ago and that is what he called them, so who am I to change their name now? :D I saw on Facebook yesterday that one of my newer cousins has them growing at her house also. I was shocked to hear her refer to them as Resurrection lilies, too. Must be a NW Ohio thing? I've enjoyed the pictures today. This process of picture posting seems to do better for me than TOH was the last few times I tried. If this keeps up, I might just be posting pics more often.
