Abey...you certainly have lots of color already....lovely! Angela...the 1st pic is some kind of succulent and the 2nd is columbine...both so pretty. Congrats to your DGD...she certainly looks happy/proud! Leslie...that is beautiful, but I also wonder what it is? Melissa...I look forward to pics of that petunia pot in full bloom. Good looking seedlings. You called that dress a yikes. All of the girls I saw yesterday had those 2 piece dresses.....and the huge floral print is very popular. Funny cuz my prom dress back in '72 was huge floral print. One girl had a prom dress that looked like it was borrowed from "I dream of Jeannie".....lol. I guess the 2 piece were all the rage on the east coast and west coast last year, so hit the midwest this year. I bet the girls in your area will be wearing them as well this year. Sandy...that's not fair...you already have flowers! I am thinking I may see a few early bloomers this week....or I should say I am hoping....lol. My biggest thing this week was starting to feed the birds.....they certainly appreciated it on Wednesday when we got a foot of snow. I am pleased and surprised at the variety of birds so far. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ a few things blooming in my greenhouse: Petunia pot: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Pandora geranium +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

My 15 year old won't even wear a 2 piece swim suit so not worried about her. She won't go to any dances they've had this year either.

Angela...the windmill should have been a dead give away that it was from the Netherlands. That is an interesting article....makes me proud of my wooden shoe ancestors! ;) :)

Sandy those look like Dutch Iris but a dwarf version like Melissa said. Charlene, I love the print on that prom dress. Not real crazy about the 2 piece. Nothing really wrong with it,just not my "thing" Angela congratulations to your DGD., I didn't know she did TKD. Max is all into it also. So I've been doing yard work & here's what's new. I put mulch down under the Magnolia yesterday (No grass grows there anymore) & today I transplanted some dwarf Daylily from what is now the new Rose Bed out front. (I'll post that later). At least I hope they're dwarf. The 2 pots in the back have Caladium bulbs in them that I dug up last year. The pots have been in the house all winter. Curious to see if they come up.. Cleaning some of the pots out of the GH (that part is new) & Teaguer decided to take advantage of the sunshine & extra space (not so new). These were Christmas presents from GKs. The one on th dbl shepherd hook is where I had to cut down my Crepe Myrtle last yr. This bed is done (under Living Room windows). It's 99% Iris & Coneflowers with a couple May Night Salvia The Hydrangea Trees are starting to leaf out. The woods are full of May Flowers but they're not blooming yet.

For those wondering what my son's shrub is, I don't really know either, and he had forgotten. But I wonder if it is some type of viburnum. Maybe someone here can positively id it.

Charlene, I thought the young couple looked beautifully matched with color coordination and flair! Your grandson looked so handsome and his date looked charming. I loved her gown selection! No deep cleavage showing all but nipples. No navel with a pierced ring. No mini skirt that was only suited for standing and certainly never sitting! No gruesome tatoos. No Gothic makeup. No multi colored, jagged hair. Nope, none of those current "fashion statements or trends". Just an adorable couple headed out for a memorable evening and passage on the way to adulthood! I thought they looked lovely. The small amount of skin between the beautiful floral skirt and the delicate lace top was far less than what you would see on the beach these days. Her skin was smooth and unblemished- her hair softly flowing with curles! Oh the glories of being young!! Bless them! Do hope they had a wonderful evening!!
A wave with my old dance card! Robyn

My photos are memories from three years ago today, not sure what happened but my tulips didn't make it and everything else is just starting to bloom. In another week or so I hope to see these again. Snowball tree Rhododendron

Towards the bottom they mention a tulip farm in Oregon. Love the picture; had to look twice as it did look like many I see from the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm here in Oregon. Believe ours are now in full bloom; hoping to get time this week to visit them.

Just an additional note ! Take a quick look see! "Seventeen" magazine calls the new 2 piece trend---"elegant, feminine"! I think I will take my age...subtract 47 years....don one of those lovely gowns and sing: " I feel pretty, oh so pretty!" A wave while currently looking like a skuzzy fish wife in old, torn, patched painting clothes! Robyn
