Marlene, Just one more thing on your plate! Just what you need! What a shame your mother's house wasn't taken care of.

Tammy, Elated to hear that your DGD is back home. Will she be able to head back to school on Monday or sooner?
Tasty, Yes, take it easy and get better my friend. Wait! when is your DS wedding? Did it happen already and I missed the details?
Chicken savoy for dinner tonight.
Waving to all.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning from a very sunny Ontario. Think it must have got chilly overnight but this morning it's in the 50s and will get up to mid 70s this afternoon. Perfect!
Decided today had best be a catch up day, so the third load is in the washer right now, need to check the fridge and see what's in there then maybe hit the grocery stores for last week's specials before they end.
The bread maker is just about finished its dough cycle and then there's ironing and some weeding so I have a busy day ahead. Fortunately I don't feel quite so spaced out this morning, not over this virus yet but I'm hoping it's in its way out.
I'm thinking beef stroganoff for supper this evening.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Good morning. 53 and sunny. Yesterday it got into the 80's which is not normal for this area in September. Worked in the greenhouse doing more cuttings. Still have more to do. Had a bit bon fire last night and finally got all the trash from the shop burned. Lots of wood scraps. Now my trailer is empty so can start empty pots into that to cart off and get things put away for winter. Need to start thinking about moving some tender plants in as we are to be in the mid 30's this weekend. I don't want to have to put the heat on in the greenhouse if I don't have to.
Headed to start some laundry and load the dishwasher then it is outside for the day. Will need to come in some time and cook a few cookies as GGKids are getting off the school bus here again today.
Have a great day.

Another day, another load of laundry. A trip to the grocery store later.
I put a pot of beans on to soak last night, so will have to do something with them. I'm thinking red beans and rice.
Did somebody say deep dish pizza? Can I come along?
Enjoy your day

Good morning! Not often I can say that when it's actually morning in the east! 😄
Got in bed at 11:45pm woke at 3:00 am and that was the end of my sleep.😳 The sun is starting to rise now and I already have fans going. Tomorrow is supposed to be lots cooler then heating into 90's for the weekend. Ugh!
I put out chicken thighs with no idea of what sounds good for supper. To be honest I am really craving Lori's "Roasted Tomato Spaghetti". I have already made it twice, yum! I'm really Italian I just know it!😉. My Brother and I fell in love with pasta on the boat coming over from Scotland at age 4 (5 the next month). Never tasted it before that. Its all we ate for lunch and dinner the entire trip. We both still love it 65 years later!!!😋
Heading out in an hour to see my Chiropracter. I'm on my second round of 5 treatments...hope I get released today! I must say, I can sure use it after yesterdays yard clean up to go out with the trash..2 huge barrels chucked full to the brim.
Tammy I tried to leave you messages to let you know I was/am praying for your DGD but couldn't access this site since Monday night. Finally I changed my password for the third time and got on last night and left it there. So glad she is home safe and I pray this takes care of her pain so she can enjoy her senior year! Bless her!
tasty, I was worried about you as I have suffered with vertigo and its no fun. Glad you feel a bit better.
Have a lovely day everyone. Might check back later.

Well is another day. Red woke me early and just wanted me up to get his pet. So just watered my flowers outside on my brick steps and on bricks along side the ramp to back door. I sure love the ramp made out of pavers and has big brick coming up the sides. The flowers look nice out there too. Seems there is so much filler in them have to water everyday. Just was sitting going through some papers they found of my Mom's. It just makes the tears come like it was yesterday so just put them away. She passed away 19 years ago and seems like she just did now. Never easy for me.
It is just a catch up day here. I should mow the yard again will see to that. I have to go get rest of my pills they needed refills on. Going to try to make a spaghetti squash with insides of hamburger that I had left over from making stuffed peppers. Then will be all done and should be good too.
Glad to hear it is a virus Tasty. When you said balance I thought maybe something with the ears. That has to be a terrible feeling.
Tomorrow I have to MIL very early to eye Dr. so will pick up my diamond earrings that I have at the jewelers too. They were my sisters and she had one bent post so had new posts and new backs put on. Hers screwed on was to hard to do with bad fingers so the ones now you squeeze to put on the post. I have a pair I bought that they rachet on and I like that back also.
Better get to doing something here!

Good Morning All
I haven't been on here or checked it for 5 days , as a tornado ripped thru our resort area Saturday night and did millions of dollars worth of damage to our little community. Ourselves and two neighbours beside us received the brunt of it. We were hit by two trees , one on the side and roof of our house, and the wind split and picked up 50 feet of our huge cedar tree and slammed it onto our top deck of our house. We have sustained 40,000 to over 100,000 dollars damage to our home ( depends on how bad our roof is) Neighbour next door lost his entire house and the neighbour two doors over lost his house trailer and his boat, It was like a war zone here, but as we all said , there was no one hurt in all of this, Now we have started the 10 hour days of cleaning up and waiting to see what Adjuster's say. We had more looky loos go thru our property than you can imagine, but I did get to meet a lot of new people LOL I finally told them all that I was the Wal Mart greeter and welcomed them onto property to take pics. LOL Now that it is a few days behind them, it is time to get some cooking done. We have been living on sandwiches for the last 3 days as we worked in the yard. Chicken Marsala tonight with linguini and a strawberry rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream Now I am off the the fire pit to burn multiple piles of brush.

Magnabay, so sorry to read of your loss. How terrible. Being an insurance agent for over 30 years I know how devastating this can be to a person. Hope the insurance adjuster is fair. Some can be difficult but if you have a good agents things should go smoothly. Hugs to you.

Sheri, I was wondering about you when I was reading the news story given your user name. I did know you lived in that area. I am so very sorry you have so much damage and it will take time to get the insurance settled and the repairs done. As you mentioned at least no one was hurt. Take care of yourself. I see your sense of humour is intact, Walmart greeter and all. My cousin has a place at Seymour & sounds like they were fortunate enough to avoid anything major.

Magnabay, how terrible! I am so very sorry for your lost and for what you have already and still will have to go through. Saying a prayer for you and yours.
No work again today so I have already stripped, washed, and placed bedding back on bed, baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies for the house, as well as another for the homeless shelter in town. Dropped off the cookies, just got home and will start my dinner for tonight--Sausage, Potatoes, Peppers, and Onions.
Chris, with DD being a social worker, I know what you mean about those quarterly reports. Breathe deep and maybe a few extra HC's are in order!
Tasty, glad you're not feeling so spacy today--sounds like you've got a lot going on. Your weather, I agree, does sound perfect!
Bet, what kind of cookies are you baking your GGKids? Do they have favorites or like most cookie lovers, eat anything?
Jan, hope you are feeling great after your trip to the chiropractor this morning. I'm glad you enjoy the roasted tomato spaghetti--we love it too and I think it's going to be on the menu for next week.
((Marlene)), I feel for you and wish I could give you a great big hug! You are dealing with so much---hang in there my friend!
Valerian I'm going to join you for that deep dish pizza--love pizza!
Nancy, have the Fall/Harvest Festivals begun up your way? Talked with my MIL just for a few minutes last night and she mentioned that in their area there are 2-3 every weekend. Maybe I'll be able to get to one when there in November. Down here, no Fall Festivals, but the Art Shows will be popping up shortly now that the "snowbirds" are returning. Out on the highway, those RV's are heavy on the south bound side and we noticed that one of the popular Amish places already had a long line last night, outside of the restaurant and half way around the side.
Hot and humid--temperatures for the next 10 days are 90+ with feel like in the triple digits. Lori

Lori, it is always chocolate chip for these 2 characters. They don't think they like anything else. You know the old story try it you'll like it doesn't work with them. I have usually 3-4 different kinds of slice and bake cookies in the freezer so it is easy. I am running short on some kinds so really need to find time to make up some more dough.

Good Wednesday morning to everyone. I better hurry and get my computer time in as I have help coming today to clean my house. I won't be on here again until they leave. I will just have some warm overs for supper tonight, so that will be easy. Nancy I live in IOWA, thought you might be thinking I lived in Illinois. I hope you have a good day at work today-- Friday is just about here. Sheri so sorry to hear about the mess the storm left behind for you, will be keeping you in my prayer's for sure. It is going to be a very hot, humid day with the feel like temperature at 100 degrees. I know where I will be today in the AC for sure. I go to the heart doctor tomorrow at 8:00 in the morning, just a general check up. I really don't like early morning but that is when my daughter can take me so just happy she can. I better get going here soon so will talk to all later.

Hello all.
Seems like some of our friends need some extra hugs today. So sending those in need some comfort.
It has been raining for two days here. We did not paint yesterday as we were too busy. We are going to run to Home Depot in a bit and also Panera for lunch.
I need to figure out what dinner will be while I am out.
Have a great day all.

Afternoon, friends! It's a beautiful day; humidity has abated so we're very comfortable. I managed to get to the senior center today in spite of developing an ingrown toe nail. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon to have it dealt with. It's not painful until I put on shoes instead of sandals so I'm OK. Anyone catch The Chew today? Chef John Currence, author of "The Big Bad Breakfast" made a monkey bread that looked so delicious. Monkey Bread Sheri(Magnabay)- I am so sorry to read about the storm damage you have experienced. Saying prayers for you and your neighbors. Your dinner sounds delicious! I smiled after reading you being a Walmart greeter!!! Lori - Sausage, potatoes, peppers, and onions is such a delicious dish; it always tastes as good as it smells!!! Kind of you to make cookies for the homeless shelter. Tasty - Glad you are a bit better today. Kay - Love deep dish pizza, too. All of that gooey deliciousness.... I like crispy, too. Recently I "glued" two 10-inch whole wheat tortillas together with cheese and then put toppings on it and baked it on my pizza stone. Jan - There was a Facebook request on the TOH VFE site asking for volunteers to make a chicken thigh dish..." Chicken in Coconut Peanut Sauce". I'm making it on Saturday. Reviewers were not happy about it, so I'm thinking of ways to add some flavor. Any suggestions. I was thinking some soy, ginger, and chili... my usual Oriental ingredients. Tonight we are having leftover roast beef, garlic oil fried noodles and a corn, tomato and fresh mozzarella cheese salad with basil vinaigrette. Waving to all! Enjoy the evening.
