Good Wednesday morning everyone. We had a dusting of snow today and of course cool temps but not a bad day. I honestly didn't look to see what the weather is calling for, will just go with the flow. I spent the day putting paperwork away, paying bills and just tidying up here and there. Gayle, sorry you lost your nice weather. It's hard to do anything outside when it's damp and no sun.I am always amazed when I see an Eagle, so majestic. We have 2 fair size framed portraits, one in the living room and one in the tv room. Leroy, so sorry to hear about your MRI, it happened to Rick as well. I hope they get to the bottom of your problem soon, I can't imagine you working with that amount of pain. Karen, I hope when you got up this morning the pain was gone in your back. If not you will just have to take it easy. Tasty, it does take a while scheduling people for things like the lunches you are trying to set up. I'm sure you will be able to fill in the blanks soon. I also heard earlier about Barbara Bush, I always found her to be a very pleasant lady. Charlene, glad you enjoyed your 30 something temps :) but I'm sure you can't wait for them to actually move up and stay up. So happy you did get a refund. PTL for that. I'm sorry for laughing about your bird seed venture but it was funny.....Oh my gosh I think an alarm that sounds like yours would have me flipping out. I don't even like the sounds of the smoke detector neither did Penny. Melissa, sorry to hear that you are still dealing with your pain. I know you always have lots to do with having a large family so try to squeeze in some heating pad time here and there. Leslie, I think we know what you will be doing this weekend!!! Don't overdo carting those bags around. Missing Lily, Robyn, Elaine, Kathy and I know there are others, just can't think right now. Oh Connie as well. Are we missing Dave as well in the mornings? My thinker broke. lol I think Bette mostly posts in the mornings. Waving to everyone out there. Have a great day everyone. Take care and have a great day.

Good morning. We had cult temps yesterday as well, but not like the rest of you.
Hopefully today someone will get our CAD issues fixed so we can work again. I know how to install licenses, which is sometimes our problem, but haven't had training in other areas with this system. They didn't renew our service agreement with a company who has helped by logging in remotely, so the 3 of us that use it can't really work right now. Idk why they always come to me when it doesn't work. Yesterday I must have been asked 10 times if it was working again. I did what research I could on the problem and emailed it to IT.
Church tonight and then I need to pack an overnight bag for tomorrow night. I'm going to see oldest DGD in a school play and will spend the night at DS#2's house.
Have a good day.

Good morning. 30 going to 43 today. Looks like they cancelled the chance of sleet/snow for tonight. YAY!! We may see our first 50 degree day tomorrow. Please Lord we need some warmth and spring, and NO going back!! My poor kiddos at work have had to wear snowpants outside since the end of October!
Work then have a meeting after. Ds is going to be in charge of picking up his siblings. Wednesdays are hard as our district does early release, 45 early out, every week. So they both get early practice, but that means both are done at 4 and they are in 2 different spots right now. Hopefully by next week the middle school tennis courts will finally melt off the snow. That will be much nicer since it will mean one less stop, and will be the same location as dds, vs 10 miles away in a different town.
Need to jump in the shower so no time to comment. But I love the meme today Donna and if I could follow that maybe my back would feel better!! lol
Have a good day.

Good morning everyone. It is good as there is no freezing rain or ice so far. I hope that means we aren't going to get as much as they predict......or maybe this is the lul before the storm. Time will tell.
I'm kind of excited about my new bird feeders. So far I've seen chickadees, house finches, bluejays, juncos, robins and a couple I can't identify.
DD is painting in town today and wants to meet for lunch. Fun!
Donna...a very good meme this morning and one I probably will follow today. Nothing pressing on my agenda. I've also noticed many MIA, but maybe they are just suffering winter blues and do't want to talk about it. I did get an email from Lily and she's sick with a bug...coughing, etc. Hope it is short lived for her.
Dave...welcome back! I hope you had a fun time in Texas. Exciting that the hummers are there and you can plant. I hope you have a happy birthday (I did start a birthday thread prior to coming here) You and Ron share the same special day.
Melissa...I hope your back is better by tomorrow so the chiro can give you some relief. Thank goodness DS is available to help you with the chauffeuring of kids. I don't want you you to lose one of them while DH is gone....lol. Take it easy!
Wishing everyone a great Wednesday. Charlene

Good morning. 28 overnight and overcast right now with possible rain/snow tomorrow but we are suppose to see the sun today. Yesterday I did manage to get a few more seed planted but ran out of soil in the house. I am late with these seed as I didn't intend to plant them but DGD didn't get any going so am working on some for here.
Since we cancelled our Lions meeting Monday, I have a lot of things to get done now by email. Our big garage sale is coming up the end of May so need to get a roster put together, posters made and other advertising out. Once that is done I will get more soil in and get back to planting and transplanting.
I have also noticed a few MIA lately. Hope all is well with them.
Karen, nice to have breakfast and your laptop delivered to you in bed but do hope the back is better. I can't imagine the stress with your Mom. Do hope she goes to meet with the cousins.
Melissa, hope your back is getting better. It must be hard with DH away and running the kids. Thank goodness the DS #1 can help out. You aske about the paper mill here. It is International Paper. The original mill was build here in 1882 and has been running since. I am not quite sure what kind of paper they make. I do recall something about ABDick paper for that company. I thing now they make cardboard of some kind also now. I know about 4 years ago they got a grant to do a lot of upgrading to the mill. The mill is in Ticonderoga.
Donna, when you finish taking care of your paper work I stacks that you could come and help with.
Charlene, enjoy your lunch with DD. I wish I still had my feeders up but I don't really like the bears on my deck so they are now down until next fall.
Dave, nice to see you back.
Have a great day.

Good morning. Our weather is seemingly like a broken record. It is another cold and dismal morning here. I saw a couple of mentions by the weather guessers about the possibility of accumulating snow overnight tonight. Those predictions came from two different meteorologists on differing television stations, so I'm guessing there is some good evidence of what is to come. That is disheartening, to say the least.
So ... I do not know what I am doing in my sleep to aggravate my back, but whatever it is I need to stop it immediately! I think I need to be video taped or something to figure this out. This morning my back hurt possibly even more than it did yesterday. I woke DH to rub some Blu Emu ointment on my back. He swears by the stuff for his stroke and/or diabetes pain so I thought I'd give it a try before I took anything OTC. It took the edge off for a while, but I had to get back on the heating pad to get substantial relief. I'm still sore with certain movements. DH suggested, "Just don't make those movements." It was humorous, but not terribly helpful. LOL! Given how I am feeling, I can foresee today being another day where I don't do much of anything.
Thanks for the meme, Donna. I'm taking it as permission to rest, recover, and refill my well.
Dave, the hummers coming back for your birthday are an awesome gift. Lucky you! Enjoy your day with them.
I'm excited for you having those new feeders to enjoy, Charlene! There really is nothing like enjoying the birds when they visit our yard, except maybe appreciating them out in the wild. How nice that you get the chance to have lunch with your DD today! I hope you both enjoy the time together, and that her painting goes well.
Waving at everyone else and wishing you all a good day. I need to get back to my new friend the heating pad.

Good morning Donna. I am here but have nothing good to report...just the same old blahs so will keep that to myself. LOL
Bet, I would not want any bears on my deck either so the birds would have to go hungry here as well...Our feeders are empty now thanks to the squirrels that hang upside down all day while gorging themselves. Dratted rats with bushy tails is all they are and they have the nerve to sit in the tree and cuss at me when I chase them off.
On a positive note, the hair dresser is back in town so tomorrow I get my hair taken care of and there is ONE daffodil blooming along the east fence. Now to go chase the iron over all the clothes that need pressed so they can jump into the closet....hope at least one of those things happens.

luvmyb_b--when I was waking up with back pain in the morning, I tried a number of things trying to figure it out. I sleep on my side so I bought one of those pillows that you keep between your knees to help keep your legs parallel and align the spine. It seemed to help. It also sometimes helps if you are back sleeper to put something under your knees to raise them up so that your back flattens a bit when you are laying down. Back pain is purely miserable. I feel for you.
Coincidentally, we were talking about this in my painting class yesterday. One of the women mentioned that she had been treated for back pain for quite a while until they finally did x-rays and found that her problem was her hip, not her back. The chiropractor had been treating her for several years before she went to a new one who ordered the x-rays and discovered her problem. Nerves are mysterious things, especially in the back. Hope this settles down for you soon.
Tasty--sounds like you walked into that job. That'll teach you to make suggestions! Actually, that's really nice that you folks are going to feed those volunteers. Your group sounds really organized and willing to work!
Snow flurries this morning. More to come for the next two days. They are hinting that by Sunday we might be seeing dry weather--still cool but at least nothing coming from the sky!
Have a good day.
Birdy

They missed the mark of the snow forecast for today. It was supposed to be 2 to 4 inches and when the snow started we were getting 2 inches an hour, very wet heavy snow. We already have 8 inches and it is to snow until late this afternoon. I got stuck 3 times coming home from work. Had to walk 3 blocks home to get a shovel to shovel myself out and got stuck again in the road in front of my driveway. Shoveled myself out and got stuck again pulling into driveway with my rear end sticking out in the street. Shoveled the driveway to the garage and then dug myself out again to be able to pull in. I was afraid this would happen with how bad the front tires are. I probably won't be able to get out into the road tomorrow morning so I will probably call and let them know today. I am so sick of this sh!t!!!!

Leslie, sorry you are having so many problems at work. It looks like everyone relies on you for help.
Hi Dave, planting time already, wow. Lucky you to have hummers already.
Melissa, I wish you could take some time to rest your body.
Charlene, happy to hear you are enjoying your birds. Enjoy your time with your DD.
Bette, I think I have enough paper work right here to get done, got behind while I was doing taxes. It's the volunteer paper work that I need to catch up on, lots of paper work involved with that.
Karen, so sorry you are still having issues with your back, you do need to take it easy today, no permission needed just look after you.
Marylc, make sure you do rest in between your exercises. We still want to see you here when you turn 100. :)
Connie, I know what you mean by not much to say, that is me most days, still good to hear from you.
Birdy, hoping your snow is light and stops soon, we don't need that this time of year.
Kathy, my heart goes out to you. You are suffering so much with the shingles and now you have a major snow crisis, not fair to you. Please take care of yourself.
Waving to anyone else I missed.
