Good morning friends. Not much went on since I posted in the afternoon. Chilled and watched the Voice. Alma, hopefully you will be feeling "as fine as a fiddle" soon. Charlene, hopefully your taxes turn out in your favour. Karen, sorry you had a stressful day with your DM. Keep that chin up. Melissa, no matter how you feel you are always on the go. Hope your back settles down soon. Awesome that you saw the eagle, will be looking for your photos. Waving to Gayle. Kathy, that amount of snow is right off the chart. I'm so sorry you are still having so much pain with your shingles. Tasty, our weather was pretty much the same as yours.....ahhhhh you got caught like I used to. You notice something doesn't seem right then you end up heading and organizing. I'm sure the men will appreciate the lunches they receive. Elaine, you have a busy day ahead of you. Everyone take care, have a great day.

Good morning. 21 heading to 43, clear skies right now. I think if we can make it thru tomorrows potential weather we may actually have spring. The temps are all 50s after that, with 60 ten days out. I so hope that is true. Its going to take that to melt all this snow we have. Come on spring! In 12 days dd and dh go to the MN Twins game so I really hope its nice and warm for them.
Dh said it was a long drive but the roads were good once he got out of Superior, WI (right across the bay from Duluth). He did say he saw 10 semi's in the ditches in Wisconsin from the storm on Sunday, 2 only a few feet apart. That had to be scary for those drivers. He stopped at Sams Club about half way to Milwaukee to stretch his legs and get some things we needed. He's touring 3 printing plants today. Since with his new job he is in charge of quality and product development part of his job is meeting with customers who purchase the paper his company makes. He'll find out what issues they may be having with printing on it, and what he can do to make it better. He'll probably have to travel every couple of months. Some will be close enough to drive, and some could be as far as overseas since the company is a Finish company.
No big plans for the day. I need to water and rearrange seedlings again. The tall ones are getting too close to the lights yet again. I'm hoping the weather does change and stay that way so at some point they can go out during the days. Need to melt all this snow first.
Donna-No choice but to be on the go with the kids. My back still hurts, but hoping I can get in to a chiropractor today.
Wishing all a great day.

Thanks for starting us off Donna.
It's looking as if our canning session this morning will be postponed. The roads are perfectly clear (so I'm told) but we work in a church kitchen and we're not sure how clear that parking lot will be. One of our ladies fell and broke her hip about 18 months ago and then in January this year she slipped on ice and broke her wrist - we don't want to see her break anything else! Another 2 are in their 80s - it's not worth the risk, especially as we have lots of time ahead of us.
So, that has just been confirmed. Not sure what I'll get up to now this morning.
Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning. A chilly 20ยบ here this morning, but promises of a sunny day to maybe melt some snow to make way for more later tonight.
I cannot linger here long as I need to get ready and head to my tax appointment. Donna...I'm also wishing the results are in my favor.
Melissa...Glad to hear DH had good roads in WI. I didn't want him to have memories like you guys have of Ill. I hear that several Twins games have been postponed due to weather. An outdoors stadium in MN just doesn't make sense, does it? Hope it is sunny and 60 in 10 days.....that's being optimistic, isn't it?
Tasty...good call on postponing your canning session. There will be better days that will be safer for all to be out. I guess you need to start doing some meal planning for the group of guys that will be working on your curling club. That will be a lot of work, but may turn out to be fun if you get a good group of helpers.
Kathy...it may be a while before the frost pulls of of the ground so your boys can anchor that GH.
Karen....I do hope you were able to sleep last night given your day yesterday. Hopefully today is better.
Waving at everyone else and wishing you a good day. Charlene

Good morning. I am a liberated woman. Well sort of. The town just came in and plowed my driveway so at least an emergency vehicle can get in here. It is snowing right now but it is suppose to turn to rain and be above freezing. That is a good sign.
I did absolutely nothing yesterday except sit and watch it rain. We got another 6th of an inch. Haven't really decided on what I will get done yet today but it has to be better than yesterday. There is certainly plenty that I could be doing.
Charlene, I sure hope your taxes come out in your favor.
Tasty, good idea to cancel the canning group this morning. Good luck with getting food for the workers. Will members be doing the cooking or will they have it catered?
Melissa, great that DH had good roads for his trip. I didn't realize he worked for a paper mill. That is one of the biggest employers in the county here.
Kathy, sorry to here that the shingles are still giving you such pain. That is a lot of snow to get this time of year.
Karen, hope your day goes better today and that you got some sleep last night.
Have a great day.
Bet

Bet-Which mill is near you? What kind of paper do they make? The company dh works for makes coated paper for magazines and catalogs. Unfortunately a dying industry thanks to the internet. I always encourage people to get as many catalogs as they can!! lol

Good morning. Gloomy and cold seem to be the weather buzz words of the day. We're supposed to "warm up" to about 40 later in the day. That is hard to imagine happening given there doesn't seem to be much sunshine out there.
I fell asleep early and slept well until about 4:30 when I woke up with a dull ache in my back on the right side. I got up and took some extra-strength acetaminophen, which did allow me to fall back to sleep. When I woke up again a little after 9:00, it still hurt. I've been laying with the heating pad on it for a while now. I have no idea how I aggravated my back or could have pulled a muscle in my sleep, but I seem to have done just that. I think I am staying in bed until I feel better. DH brought me my laptop so I didn't have to move. What a guy! 8-)
DM called as I was getting ready to start this. She just wanted to talk about current events, I guess. Her mood seemed to be okay, and she did remember talking to her brother last night about us all getting together at his house. There was no mention of her dislike for the cousin's wife. She didn't even argue when I told her that my uncle would pick her up and take her to his house, and we would take her home. Thankfully, that may not be a battle we need to have. A bit disconcerting, though, was my uncle's feeling as though DM wasn't sure who he was when he called her. Hopefully it was just a product of the kind of day she had.
Well, I am going to wave to everyone and wish you all a terrific Tuesday. I need more tea and something to eat. How can it be almost noon and I haven't eaten a thing yet? Screwy morning around here! Enjoy your day.
