Good morning friends.
Chris and Tammy, I knew you would have a good time.
Tammy, I said a prayer for your DGD as she gets her colonoscopy today.
Jan, Good to see you were able to log in.
Hope all is well with you Helen.
Rain on and off for us today.
I'm going to defrost some meatballs for dinner, make pasta and a salad.
Waving to all.
Enjoy your day.

Hello! Hope everyone has a good day!!
Tammy, I too said a prayer for your DGD this morning.
Had a strange dream about Helen last night...that she and hubby moved. I saw another lady(daughter?) and she was helping Helen and hubby move things. Hope all is well and that Helen will check in as soon as she is able to.
Chicken pie for dinner tonight.

Good morning - Looks like another nice day today. Nice Chris, Tammy and Dave had a nice visit yesterday. To meet Chris I probably would have to go to Vermont unless she makes a trip my way! I loved when I met Tammy and Dave if anyone gets the chance you need to meet them, just like talking to old friends. Tammy, I am saying prayers for your DGD. That is terrible to go through what she is at her age. Just praying they will be able to help her.
I am making Peach Butter in the crockpot. I thought it would cook all night but shut off the light above my sink and it is hooked to my switch now since new light so it went off. At least it did not discolor as I had lemon juice in it. So all is good and it is cooking again. Is to cook 8-10 hours then you add tapioca pudding to thicken. It had sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon and a bit of cloves. I did not put the 3/4 of t in it as cloves goes a long ways with me. Hope it turns out good. It is a taste of home recipe.
Need to make some stuffed green peppers today too. But going to meet my friend from Texas who is back for a family reunion. We are meeting at the golf course with some other friends for lunch. Will be nice to see her again.
Did get my lawn mowed yesterday too. Mark came out and put up his camera' s for wild life so we had iced tea and lemonade, cookies and pumpkin muffins. Marge made pumpkin bars and made them into cup cakes and it really turned out good, they are so moist.
Hoping to hear from Helen and Lynne and few others who have joined us.
Marlene

Good morning. 62 and overcast. Got a little more rain overnight. Yesterday I spent in the house cleaning. Got the corner of the living room where some of my plants go for the winter and it looks pretty good. Now if the plants look as good come spring I will be happy.
Made dinner fun last night. Had a real Oktoberfest. Downloaded some poompa music to the computer and played that while I was cooking. The schnitzel turned out great made with pork.
No dinner tonight. Have a lions meeting so don't know what they are serving. Have a lot of work to get done for it so will probably spend most of the morning doing that. Then it is back to cleaning and doing laundry.
Chris, I don't plan on being home Columbus day weekend. I am leaving Friday and will be back sometime Sunday. I never have any plans to go anywhere but I decided it was time to get out of Dodge for a couple of days and visit a great friend who I haven't visited in years.
Have a great day.

Morning! We got some much needed (pouring) rain early this morning. It's pretty muggy out now, and more rain is predicted. Not complaining at ALL!!! I had to go out in the rain early to get my annual blood tests and mammo.
Sending good thoughts and prayers to Helen and DH; hope all is OK.
Chris - Glad you had a good time with Tammy & Dave; I'm next!! LOL Excited!
Nancy - Week two of work; glow still on the job!?!?! I'm planning on making a small lasagna this week because I have some ricotta to use up.
Tonight we are having some of the slow cooker hash and eggs. Enjoy the day...have to get a wiggle on here. Waving!

Chris, I am surprised but we don't have much color yet. My house is surrounded by maple trees and I still have mostly green. It is strange as I go down the hill I am seeing more. I understand the Speculator area to my southwest is gaining fast however. I will be home on the Monday of Columbus day.

Hello from rainy New Hampshire. I have my beef tips in the crock pot so it should start smelling real good in here!
I sent a little note to Helen telling her that I missed her, and I did hear back. She is fine, just a lot of things going on in her life and she'll be back soon.
Chris, so glad the cocoa was good! I really enjoyed our visit yesterday, too. Wish it could have lasted longer!
Jan, I'm glad you were able to post again. I love reading your posts.
Geema, I know how frustrating it is to lose a post. It almost never happened on the old TOH board (for me) but it did happen here. Weird, because generally this board works so much better than TOH.
Marlene, your peach butter sounds delicious! Have a nice lunch out.
I got to sleep in a little. DH left early to take the truck in for an alignment. When he arrived they said they couldn't work on our big ole truck. Only one place in town could do it, but he was nice and called the other shop. DH drove over there, but they cannot do it today. We are to bring the truck in this afternoon at 3 and they'll get parts and work on it tomorrow. They do provide a loaner car. The truck also will need a ball joint and 2 tie rods.
So, he was back home around 9. I was trying to sleep but there was a noise, maybe a motorcycle running around near the RV, so I went ahead and got up.
At some point today I will get by the laundry and get the bed sheets washed.
We have not heard yet from DS about DGD. I'll let you know. I really appreciate the prayers and the kind thoughts for her.

Good Monday morning to everyone. It is going to be very hot and humid here today-- in the high 80's. That is ok at least it is not snow or ice ( did I ever tell you I like Spring, Fall and some of the summer weather if it is not hot and humid--NOT WINTER--lol.) I'm so glad that the decent weather is lasting longer into September this year. I did thaw out a pound of hamburger and trying to decide what I want to make. So far I have thought of meatloaf patties, maid-rites, spaghetti just have to wait and see when I start cooking it.What are you having for supper today? Helen I'm sending you lot's of extra prayer's and lots and lots of extra hugs for you and your husband. I hope whatever you are dealing with someone is there to help you. I guess I better think about doing something soon as the day is going fast. Have a great day everyone.
