Good morning friends.
Tammy, I wish your DGD was here to see an awesome pediatric G.I. Dr. that we know. But I'm sure they will find an amazing one by you. I sure hope they can find out what is bothering her. I did reply to you message and want to make sure you got it. Safe travels to you and Dave today.
Marlene, Watch your language in front of the pastor at dinner tonight. LOL just kidding.
Oh Chris, that hot dog sounds good!
Betsy, Your daughter is a bright young lady. She will be going places that's for certain.
Lori, Have fun as the art teacher today. That was one of my favorite classes in school. I also loved wood shop!
Some talk of covered bridges yesterday, I have a covered bridge board on Pinterest. I think they're so pretty.
My friends FIL came into town from Maine yesterday and he brought us all lobster. He does this quite often :) . My friend cooked them for me so tonight all we have to do is steam them. My stomach is cheerfully awaiting that lobster.
Waving to all.
Enjoy your day.
Nancy

It's been a good week but I'm glad it's Friday!
After work, I'm going out with a couple co-workers to a play in town. They are doing Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" -- instead of senators in ancient Rome, the characters are mean girls in a high school. Should be interesting!

Good morning. 42 and sunny. Running late this morning. Worked in the greenhouse yesterday and got quite a bit of transplanting done. Did move a few tender plants into the house.
Today I really need to straighten up this house and get some food in the freezer while I wait for it to warm up and then it is back to the greenhouse. This time of year seems busier out there than in the spring.
My thoughts are with all those who need them.
Dinner plans for tonight have changed. No time to really cook so will have tortellini soup and egg and olive sandwich.
Have a great day.

The thought of lobster!! I love it!! So hope you all enjoy it. Sometime I hope to make a trip out east to get some good lobster. There is nothing better than having one on your plate and cracking it open! I am the one who does not care for fish !
I am cleaning my living room and needed to sit and rest a bit. The 'ol back just gives out on me. Will get it all cleaned and shower and go get groceries and ice cream cake at Dairy Queen for dessert tonight. Will get a little bigger one to have some on hand in the freezer too.
We got 2 3/4" of rain last night. All the rain we are getting started the pump in the basement again. It is so nice having a line dug so it goes to the creek and not my drive way. It was pricey to do but so worth it. We have had so much rain lately, wish people who needed it could have some.
Will continue to get back to work here and hope we have a good evening out eating. Nancy I will be careful with my mouth! She is a sweet gal, she was at a church in town when she started so have heard her before.
Marlene Chris you do need another HC. It was Nancy having the lobster not Lori but you are excused!!

Good Morning ! Just a quick hello as we need to get on the road.
Chris, I had DH look up on his list and we did go see the Cornish-Windsor bridge. Thanks anyway for telling us about it.
Elza, enjoy your evening out. That sounds like an interesting take on Shakespeare!
Have a fun time Marlene also.
Betsy, you must be so proud of your DD!
Waving to everyone and hugs too!

Good morning! A little slow getting going this morning! Had a much needed sleep in & it might have been even longer if the darn phone hadn't rang! So, now just lingering on my second coffee & enjoying my online time. No big hurry to get things done as I have the day to myself. Ray is gone on a road trip for the day. Will try to get some laundry going at the very least.
Sounds like everyone is having a busy Friday. Then, sigh of relief, the weekend. I guess that is extra meaningful for those with jobs. For me, everyday is the weekend! 😊
Chris, how nice that you will make the long trip to the luncheon in Grove City. I am sure those luncheons are a blast. Too bad your hubby can't join you though. Be sure to bring a Thermos jug of hc to carry you through the drive! 😊
Marlene, have a lovely dinner out with your friends who did all your lovely renos this summer. You surely got a lot accomplished these past few months. Just think next summer you will be able to just sit back & enjoy.
Wishing you all a pleasant day. Hope it's a sunny one.

Good Friday morning to everyone-- hope everyone has enjoyed there first cup of coffee this morning. ( Except for Chris -- probably enjoying her 2nd HC--lol.) I have been up trying to get some little things done this morning. Don't let me fool you I haven't been working hard-- just doing a little here and there.
Nancy I bet you are looking forward to the week-end after working all week. Can you believe I have not tried lobster? I would try it if I ever get out east where it would be nice and fresh.
Emr have fun with your friends and enjoy the evening. Sorry I don't know your real name.
Chris I think you made all of us hungry for a good hot dog, so glad it was a good one for you. That will be a very long drive for you all by yourself-- I agree with Angela take along some HC to help keep you awake.
Marlene you must have the cleanest house around the way you are always cleaning and dusting. Come on down and I will fix you lunch while you dust my place. Enjoy your evening out with your friends, especially that DQ cake--yum.
Angela you are my kind of person, sleeping in and enjoying life as it comes. Enjoy your day doing what ever you want.
Tammy safe travel to you and your husband today. I love reading about all your adventures, I know you two must be a wonderful couple. Have fun today.

Afternoon, friends! It's an absolutely banner day here...like fall! Just got back from traveling to another city about 30 minutes away to return our two old Verizon set top boxes. While there, we returned the router that didn't work. Now we have to order another one. So far the old one works fine.
Tonight we are having an indoor picnic. I pulled some salami and assorted bits of cheese that I had in the freezer along with a loaf of ciabatta bread. I just finished making hard cooked steamed eggs (so easy if you haven't tried cooking them this way). I'll cut up some tomatoes and cucumbers, and we'll be good to go. Only difference...no ants and mosquitoes!! lol
Sara - I am a new convert to enjoying lobster...same with shrimp...I never had either growing up so I never acquired a taste for it. Now, it's not the case...love both especially shrimp with garlic and lobster claws and knuckles. The frozen lobster packed in bags isn't bad especially for lobster pie or lobster mac & cheese. But for sandwiches, fresh is best.
Marlene - I make you lunch after Sara does!!!!
Elza - Love your avatar!!! I remember acting out Julius Caesar in my HS history class! The play that you are going to sounds like a great parallel theme.
Tammy - Safe and enjoyable travels. I've sent you a message.
Nancy - Where in ME does your friend live?
Chris - Safe travels. You are braver than I driving alone!!!
Bet - Never made egg salad with olives...interesting. I'd use Castelvetrano olives because that the only kind DH eats.
Angela - Enjoy your relaxing day. Me, too...since retiring everyday is a weekend!!!
Tomorrow, I'm making black bean soup with the broth from cooking the ribs last weekend. I just made a batch of black rice with the broth leftover from making slow cooker hash (for a TOH recipe challenge)...such a great aroma.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday evening! Waving!

Hi again. We are all set up here in Swanzey. We decided on grilled burgers for supper so DH is getting the grill ready outside.
Today is a gorgeous day. It's sunny and warm. We have a fan going but will most likely turn it off soon. The nights get chilly!
Ann, I just checked and see no message yet from you.

Good afternoon gang.
I have some laundry going right now and will get that ironed this evening, then I'll just have sheets and towels still to do.
Guess you'll be ready for the weekend Nancy.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
We stopped today at a little pie shop that we really like - don't get there very often but it's worth the trip. We picked up 2 individual is this time. I saw a creole pie that I really fancied and as it has shrimp in it, I knew hubby wouldn't touch it. So he ordered a beef and veggie one. We'll have some salad with the pies and we're good to go!

Hi friends. Ah, TGIF-- the weekend is upon us.
I had a wonderful day as the Art Teacher and hope they'll call me back for the position another time. There are still two weeks left of September and I've already got 8 days of work in (last year it took until November to get this many days).
Chris, as Marlene said, it's not me having the lobster, but Nancy. IMHO, there's no lobster like Maine lobster (cold water). I would NEVER eat the lobster caught down here off the Florida coast! It's like the warm water has been cooking it--soft and just doesn't taste like good old cold water lobster. First time I had it was on my honeymoon, 35 years ago when we were up east. It is also the last time I had it--couldn't get enough of it--ate it everyday!!
Elza, the play you are going to see with co-workers sounds like it will be a fun take on the original Julius Caesar. Have a good time!
Bet, never heard of an egg and olive sandwich. Is it egg salad with olives in it?
Ann, I also never heard of hard-cooked, steamed eggs. Do you bring the eggs to a boil, take them off the burner, cover and let them steam the rest of the way until cooked? Send me some of your Fall weather!
Angela, "Girls, just want to have fun!"---hope you are enjoying your day without Ray, doing exactly what you feel like doing!
Betsy, your DD does sound like a bright and gifted young lady. How proud you and DH must be.
Marlene, I hope you had plenty of time to get your work done today, time to rest your back, and now have a great dinner this evening with your reno friends.
Nancy, one week under your belt in the school lunchroom. Glad you are enjoying it. What are your work hours? Enjoy the weekend!!
Sara, is your porch staying cleaner now that the tree is gone? Are the tree leaves changing color in your area yet?
Tammy, hope your travels today were nice. Praying it won't be too much longer and your DGD can see a specialist for her stomach pains.
((Helen))
Somebody asked about Geek Squad compensation for breaking the computer and not being able to fix it....no, they won't do anything more for me at this point. I went round and round, they were rude and their last words were, "all we can say is sorry." I'm hoping to go over to the store on Sunday and see what I can get in person, rather then on the phone.
Dinner this evening will be Hungarian Lecho (hot dog or sausage stew) over mashed potatoes.
Take care everyone.
Lori

Bet, I am with you...we always had egg and olive sandwiches...made them one time for my MIL and her best friend here in Texas...they had never had them before either but they certainly liked them. Think I will make some next week. I like to steam eggs too...put them in my veggie steamer with water almost to the bottom of the steamer, bring water to a boil cover and steam them for 20 minutes. Cool under cold water and they peel very easily.
