Is it OK to post OT topics here or is it strictly cooking related? Just wondering if asking questions similar to 'what is your favorite________' ? Fill in the blank with such things as grocery store, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, and other similar. TOH had a very nice thread about 'new to me products' that was interesting and informative, is something like that an OK topic? My preference would be to keep politics off limit but that's me. Just wondering!

I would be fine with this kind of a post. I agree to the No politics, no religion posts.

I agree with Tammy. I don't know that there are any rules regarding what we can post about, but religion and politics could get heated and personally, I don't think that would be good. Let's keep this a happy place :) .

Tammy and tasty-yes, I agree that religion should also be off limits, with politics as I mentioned. Two of the greatest friendship destroyers, discussions on politics and/or religion.

Hello I agree with the others. This is a pleasant place to come and read comments by everyone. Religion and politics have their place, but not here. Keep it easy going.
TOH did have that thread about various products and that was useful. This is my first post here, and so glad to be here.

Welcome Jean! The more the merrier, so please try to stop by and post when you can.
almonds, I too am in agreement that the type of OT post you suggested would be fine, but like others, lets skip the religion and politics.

I agree with you all! I bet we can do a thread like the New products. I would love that. Chris (thinking of all the new HC recipes and other HC related items!) Ahhh dreaming! Chris Waving Hello Jean from Vermont!

First off welcome Jean. Love to see new folks joining in.
As far a OT (as you call them) threads are just fine. If someone isn't interested in a particular topic they can just SOB. As far as politics and religion they are a no no. Anyone posting those subjects will be warned and it can lead to being ban from the board. That's my rules as the admin of this forum. I will delete any that I see and would hope that if someone sees something questionable that they would send me a PM.
Bet

Thanks Bet, for considering this. Could be a lot of fun and a nice way to learn more about each other through hearing about some of their favorite things.

I'd love a "just wondering" post. I used to love the new product review on TOH. Hope someone starts something like that too
