had dental work today & finally un-numbed 6 hrs later so i'll be reheating pork roast, micro cooking corn on the cob, mac & cheese, baked potato & choc. pn butter pudding with cool whip. i'll have mac & cheese & pudding. can't chew much else for the rest of today. i am just happy to finally be "un-numbed"!

Were going out for dinner tonite but it has been POURING for the past hour..our street is flooded and it is still coming down.....so chili dogs tonight and maybe dinner out tomorrow! Have never seen it raining so hard for so long since we moved to TX twenty years ago.

We had a roast with potatoes, carrots, and onions for supper. I meant to comment sometime back when Tasty mentioned making a roast with French Onion Soup that that is the way I've made my roast for years, too. Very tasty (so to speak). :D
It's been raining off and on with only one really fierce downpour. I know everybody north of us on the Gulf Coast is getting pounded. Sweet dreams to all.

Nancy- So sorry you have to be wheel-less for so long! Wow. But if it is done right it will be worth it.I like to do foil dinners and hotdogs on a stick for camping. I do very simple meals. Some boxed meals too. I do like doing s'mores! LOL
Tammy- Glad you can get in tomorrow. How long will you be there? I will be back on Monday afternoon from our camping trip.
redsoxmom- Happy B-day to your DH! What is his special recipe? We used to do that when we lived and worked in Maui. I let the students pick what they wanted for a desert for their birthday. Had some good recipes. One wanted fried dough with maple syrup. Had to have my sister sent me the syrup!
Bet- Your home sounds lovely! I love a log cabin. And o a mountain!!! Yep! I would love it!
Tasty- Hope you get your golf game in!
Bonnie- Welcome! Waving at you form Vermont. I love salmon! I think I will just sit up to your table tonight!!! Can you share your recipe for the peach coffee cake? My DH loves anything with peaches!

Ann- I was so excited when I saw your post! My mother made it with cod that she would get in a wooden box and it was very salty. And yep,,,, over mashed potatoes! LOL Must be a New England thing! LOL I had forgotten about the cod fish! We had to buy a new fridge last year! Same thing happened with ours. It was about 20 years old! LOL We got our money's worth out of it though! LOL
Doogle- Wow! Numbed up! I chuckled about the the meal! Can understand that!
Pippin- Wow I wonder if you are getting some storms pushed by the tropical storm in the Gulf? Hope you stay safe and dry!
Glad you are not getting pounded either with the storm. I make my roast with the French Onion Soup too! We like it.
Well I only had one..... just ONE HC this morning! Got so busy I could not go make another!!! Will NOT make that same mistake tomorrow! Sheesh! People needing help will not stand in my way!!! Bwhahahaha!
