On my old computer... whenever I tried to use my PB account I would get a pop up saying threat of virus so I quit using it.
On this computer...last night while trying to find an easier way to post pictures I decided to try PB again and my computer instantly froze up..something that has never happened to this computer before. I had a hard time trying to shut my computer down, even manually. I will never step foot into PB again!

Kathy, my old desktop is dying & the pictures hosting sites in particular are veerryyy slow. I try to remember to use the laptop for posting pictures but sometimes I forget & the desktop will totally lock up like you said; both PB & TinyPic. I can't do a thing; that's what happened to me yesterday. Can't change screen, can't scroll, can 't close it out, can't get to anything else on the computer, can't even re-boot. It's a PAIN.

I saw the response you got from ProBoards but doesn't apply to the problem we are having. None of us are trying to post from e-mail, I don't think.
Our question is why some people can see some photos while others can't. And one minute they are there, the next they are gone & then back again later.
Also why some can post from certain sites with no problems & others have problems doing the exact same thing from the same site. Seems like it has to have something to do with the browser, the device being used or the version of the site being used. Google vs Google Plus for example. Maybe Google, for example, works on the browser/device "A" but not on "B". You need something different for "B" And heaven help you if you are using "C" Or browser "A" but device "B". LOL Just throwing ideas out here.
In that vein maybe Melissa needs to go into the bathroom, stand on her left foot, use Browser A, Device B, Site Version C & hit all keys with her right pinky only while whistling God Bless America.

Perhaps its the browser you are using. I dont ever use chrome or IE. From what i see, ppl who are having the most prob are trying to post pics using chrome or IE? And also your older computers still using windows 7, etc? I have no prob using PB. Sometimes its kind of slow or maybe down for maintenance. Never got a virus or threat of one from PB! I have tried using flickr to post pics but they changed things a lot in there and i am lost using it to post pics.

I absolutely can't follow all thats been posted here but my advice in a friendly way is this. If what your doing isn't working don't keep trying it and expect a different result, its not going to happen. I don't see whats so hard about posting pictures on these boards but then again I'm not using the sites some of you are so maybe if I was my mind would change. If the site your using isn't working go try another site. Really no use in going around and around.

Steve, I'm glad your not having any problems posting photos, and just wish posting photos worked so well for everyone. I have tried several sites and can post using a couple of them if I make adjustments to my photos before posting. I also gave shutterfly a try and found the same problems there as with other sites I use. Really it isn't that everyone is going round and round about posting, just if we share with each other we can learn from others what works and what doesn't work. :) |

I used to think that PB was full of viruses, etc. So I went to flickr long ago. Then flickr changed and I couldnt figure out how to c&p pics from flickr any longer, plus they put a cap on free storage space, so that made me leave flickr. I tried other photo housing sites but didnt like them. Went back to PB and found they had changed and cleaned up their site a lot. I do not feel they are full of viruses or malware anymore. Just sometimes a pain to use. I find they get very busy often or are down for maint. I then just wait to come back to copy pics for posting to sites! I think PB is the easiest and most compatible of all photo housing sites to use, but to each their own! I am just happy I figured out how to send and upload pics wirelessly from my cp right to PB! I am very thankful for that because there was no way with this tablet to download pics from my cameras. I like using my cp for most pic taking, anyway! That's my spheel! Everyone's comments might help someone here!
