Helen, when does hurricane season end? Probably not soon enough.
Nancy, cars! Grrr!! Definitely a necessity these days, we just have to put up with them being so temperamental. Annoying!
Sara- glad that tree is down for you. Sending in more daylight makes everyone feel happier.
Pippin3- I also need a NIE shirt, very clever.
Everyone, your meals sound very good. I met one of our daughters for a shopping and lunch out trip. We had Chinese and the portions were large so just some poached eggs and toast with homemade strawberry jam for me. Fixed assorted leftovers for DH which he was very happy to have. Have a good weekend everyone.

Betsy, you can go to your profile, then edit profile and then settings. This will bring up a screen 'forum settings'. Towards the bottom on the left, you will see 'enable drafts'. Click yes, and then at the bottom of the page, click 'save account settings'. Then you shouldn't lose your post.

We had leftovers for supper, too. Good stuff, though. We like our leftovers. :) It just stopped thundering and pouring rain. It was wicked there for awhile. I hear you, Lori. We're hearing different stories on different channels about this weekend and beyond weatherwise. I'll be so so glad when hurricane season is gone. Oh Nancy, I'd give that car a big kick (instead of the service guy). Good luck. It's been a tumultuous week here. I could sure use some hugs, friends. Sweet dreams. Helen here is a big hug with many prayer's for lot's of strength to carry on. Sara ((( ))) an extra hug for you.

Helen a big ((((Hug)))) for you. It sounds like you have been a busy caretaker. It is what we do when we have to.
Lori will post the recipe tomorrow.

Hello everyone, we had grilled sliders, chips, watermelon and fresh tomatoes from the garden. It was rainy here but still hot. Tomorrow I will put a pork roast in the crock pot to make pork carnitas. Sorry about your car Nancy. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We are going to take the kids to the Pea Ridge National Military park tomorrow. All National parks are free admission this weekend in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the park system.

Morning, everyone! Muggy weather is gone; windows and back door are open! Helen - Sending hugs and saying prayers for you and DH. Lori - Here's the Peach Mango Salsa recipe. We already finished half of what I made. It's great with Scoops and also good as a side with beans and rice. I think the addition of the cucumber made it better! Tonight we are having a TOH shrimp dish that has seasonal fresh veggies...corn, zucchini (or summer squash), and fresh tomatoes. I'll serve it with another TOH side dish...Roasted Herb & Lemon Cauliflower. That's my challenge recipe for the 0-5 reviews recipes. We are supposed to search for recipes that have been printed in TOH or S&D that have few reviews, test them, and review. It's fun!! I do it on FB on the VFE page, but we could do it here, too! Waiting for the paper to come so I can check next week's grocery circular to see if I go shopping this morning or tomorrow when the new sales start. Enjoy your day. Please say a prayer that eastern New England gets some rain; the drought is really bad. Waving to all!

Ann, I think I need to make some of that salsa while the good peaches are here. It looks really yummy!
I think the idea I'd some kind of weekly challenge would be fun.
