Just Enough Beef Stroganoff wellenuffalone.blogspot.com/2008/12/just-enough-beef-stroganoff.html
I would have never made this but I keep getting stuck with small amounts of yogurt or sour cream leftover from other things. I think the caraway seeds are optional...I just happened to have them leftover too..don't ask.
BEEF STROGANOFF Makes 2 servings
8 ounces sirloin or round steak ½ cup dairy sour cream or plain yogurt 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon tomato paste 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce ½ teaspoon caraway seed (optional) 1 small onion, sliced 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tablespoon margarine or butter ¼ cup red wine or sherry 2 cups hot cooked noodles
Thinly slice across the grain into bite-size strips. Stir together the sour cream or yogurt, flour, tomatoe paste, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, caraway seed, and wine. In a large skillet, saute the beef, onion, mushrooms, and garlic in butter, until beef is cooked through. Add the sauce and simmer over medium heat till thickened and bubbly. Serve over hot cooked noodles.
