Good morning. No time for a picture this morning. I started cooking at 7 AM. Just taking a quick break. I have the potatoes all cubed and ready to cook later and have made 2 quarts of turkey gravy. Need to do at least on more quart but my arms and shoulders are complaining so will get downstairs and bring everything up from down there that I need.
Have a great day.

Good morning, It is beautiful out right now, but later the weather will change. Rain is expected for the next 2 days with the possibility of some snow mixed in. I had a good day yesterday. For the second Sunday in a row I was asked if I wanted to go to lunch and then to the movie "Best Christmas Pageant Ever". If you haven't seen the movie or been to a movie in a long while, I heartly say you should go. It is a good family movie based on the book by the same name. I remember reading that book when I was in school. Charlene graciously offered to post the picture of the wreath I made on Saturday at the library. All the supplies were free. Marlene

Good morning everyone. I was typing a post earlier and lost internet...WTH? It is 30º and going to 50º. 50º again tomorrow and then our highs will be in the low to mid 30s....winter is around the corner! Yesterday was a relaxing Sunday even though I managed to get lots of little things done. I got a text from Phyllis's DD last night asking if I could do my "usual" Monday routine which means getting her showered. DD and DSonIL will pick her up around 1 to take her to Mayo for shots in her eyes. After that my friends and I are going soliciting for our Christmas raffle. This is the picture Marlene sent me to share: Marlene's DD, Beth, Marlene and Marlene's DGD displaying their lovely wreaths....3 beautiful ladies!

Good morning all. What a glorious picture this morning Charlene.
I'm headed out soon to the bank and while I'm out I'll shop both for home and so I can do some more baking ready for the sale at the end of the month. Laundry is almost ready to come out of the dryer, so I'll get the bed remade and then get out of here.
Have a marvelous Monday!

Good morning. I went this morning to take my Operation Christmas Child shoebox to the collection site here, then to the atm and Walmart. After Walmart I decided to get a sausage biscuit for breakfast so had second cup of coffee with that. I've taken the trash and washed dishes. Now I need to sweep and later I'll cook some cabbage.
Charlene, enjoy your day after you take care of Phyllis. I would think if they were taking her the daughter could get her up and dressed as well. Sounds like she doesn't want to do any more than she has to.
Bet, don't overdo it trying to get that meal finished.
Marlene, that's a great photo and beautiful granddaughters and wreaths.

Good afternoon, the sun is shining and the temperature is 64°. It is November, right?
My girlfriend just sent a text and asked if I wanted to do breakfast tomorrow and of course I said yes. She said Shady Maple Smorgasbord so that is where we will go. It is a very large place and reasonably priced. Look it up on the net. We will do some shopping after.
The cookies I made yesterday remind me of my grandmother's cookies that she seemed to always have on hand.
Well time to go back to my book, have a good day.

I have been trying to get here for a while now. I'll probably have to stop in the middle of posting if the deacon shows up, but I'll finish when I can. It's been a good morning. Not a pretty one, but a good one. The clouds are hanging around without any hint of sunshine today. We'll at least be warmish. We're still likely to see some snowfall at the end of the week. Maybe not much? DH's mood has been generally good. He's been cooperative and even did the dishes for me this morning. I hope he put in a detergent tab! LOL! We may clash on what he gets from Wendy's, but he is at least getting that for supper tonight like he wanted last night. I'm flying and buying, so he gets what he gets. I already fulfilled my promise to order Netflix for him so he can watch The Two Popes like the deacon has suggested we do. I also said I'd get him Wendy's today. I never said he could get unlimited food when I did. At some point in life, I must have morphed into a genie who fulfills every wish? Nobody told me that. 😂 Deacon Bob has been here and gone. Time to finish up and figure out a plan for the day. Still haven't gotten to either of the garages or DH's bathroom. I have to do the front garage soon because I agreed to have my cousin and her DH put up our Nativity again this year. I told them to come whenever they wanted based on the weather. If it is decent at any time, I'd rather they not be doing it in the bitter cold. Bet, I hope you have a good day and night! I'm so glad, Marlene, that Charlene was able to post your picture for you. Looks like a fabulous time. Best wishes on the raffle donations, Charlene. It was so kind of you to post Marlene's photo. I appreciated seeing what she was talking about. God bless you for all you do for Phyllis! DSis#3 and I were talking this morning about how disappointing it can be when our kids don't show the interest we wish they would. I imagine life has to be that way on steroids for Phyllis. Good thing she has you! Tasty, I hope you have a good shopping day and fun baking. I can see how, Mary, that Budgie would appreciate the sounds of other birds. Your post made me smile, Leslie. My sister posted about Operation Christmas Child this morning on Facebook. She is in charge of her church being a collection site. May many children be blessed this Christmas season. Elaine, I hope you win at cards this afternoon. Yep, Carol, it is November. Somewhat hard to believe with the warm temps we have been having. I baked cutout cookies last night from Gordon Food Service because it is just easier for me to buy the frozen dough. I mostly just wanted the big box out of the freezer, but after baking the rest of the box I had enough to share with the deacon today, so it was a win-win. Okay. Finally got this done and ready to post. I'd love to nap, but the garage won't clean itself. Have a magnificent Monday!

Good evening,
It's been a busy day but don't ask me what got accomplished.
I needed to go to Food Lion to get Hash Browns so I could make the casserole for tomorrow night's Pot Luck. I make the mistake of asking DB if he need any groceries. Which turned my quick, easy errand into a 2-1/2 hr. trip.
I caught Mr. Squirrel on my screens again this morning trying to get to the PB feeder. If the cat sees him he goes running to the window like he's trying to chase him & that's what alerts me. It's a little surprising because he's an older cat, so kind of lazy, not much interest in playing with toys or anything like that. But he goes for that squirrel.
Hope everybody had a good day.
Marlene, I love the picture & the wreaths.

Yes Charlene Mr. Squirrel came back. I guess I forgot to tell you that.
He can't get past the baffle, which is a good thing; BUT yesterday he climbed one of the other shepherd hooks I have in front of a neighboring window & jumped onto my window screen. The cat saw before I did. I could tell he was trying to figure out how to get to the next screen & then to the feeder.
I rapped on the window a few times & he jumped down. I didn't see him again but when I opened the curtains this morning I could tell he had been there.
Sure enough, a short time later he was back on the screen by the feeder. The cat saw him again.
Scared him off, went out & tried to squirrel proof the other (empty) shepherd hook.
Spayed it with cooking spray & put the slinky in place. We'll see what happens next.
