Good morning, It is 42 % this morning. But, the sun is shining bright through the windows. I am going to lunch with my DGD. She is coming to get me. I don't see her a lot. She is the little britches mama and she works a lot. She is leaving him with his Dad for our lunch. I have decided against trying to go to the birthday party tomorrow . My DS said he would take me but that is a inconvenience, it is 40 miles one way. I used to go out n spend the night but that is too hard these days. The kids got some groceries for me. That is a blessing in itself. Hope everyone is feeling good today. I am getting by in slow motion. BBL

Good Morning!! Another no sun morning, see I worded it different. Its 47 and the high should be about 52. I have lots planned for today will see what gets done. I still cutting down perennials, and have some leaves to do, would like to move the car out of the garage, and run the vacuum in the area, repot up some geraniums, the list goes on, but I'm not going to over work, will take it slow and easy, most of it isn't that hard. I have a load of clothes going and ran the shark in the family room and drank a few cups of coffee. Opened one drape and there was a small deer, I got out of the window as you don't know what is going to happen. Our neighbor to the East is OK< and really the one to the West is also, but he has lots of company so you really don't know. I so hate gun season. Yesterday was a good day, got the mammograph done, went to the booth and stayed a long time. Ray was engraving his name in his walking sticks, a gal who brought one last week, told Ray he should put his name on them, so thats what he did. I got busy and did a few things and visited. Not much got done after getting home.
Snow, I have a load of clothes going, but won't be going on the line, no wind and no sun, wouldn't dry that good.
Carolyn, Love how you say "Little Britches" cute, cute. You know best and you feel more comfortable staying home, so be it. I understand.
Leroy, How interesting on your therapist. Did you check into the family tree?
M/M, How sad with your nephew. Some people just shouldn't be hunting. At one time a while ago I didn't dare go out in the back yard without orange on, but new owners changed all of that a lot.
Lair, Send me some sunshine please. I need to water plants also today.
Mary, You were busy with all your plants. Do you ever just go downstairs and sit to enjoy them?
Connie, LOL, I too have used a broom to move the leaves out of the rocks. If time today I will get the blower out and move some. Congratulations on doing some ironing.
Guess I best get moving, have a great day. bye for now

Good morning everyone. Snow, thanks for opening. Good to hear from you. Carolyn, nice you DGD is taking you out to lunch, but sorry that you’re going to miss the birthday party. Carol, temperature just sitting at freezing here, 32*, going up to 39* maybe. Chance of snow flurries. Yup, snow is coming. Never did get to Costco last week. Hope to go Monday, out of a few things we buy there. Bedding today, that’s about it. Will gather up the last few ingredients for Moose Farts (aka Chocolate Coconut Balls). Will make them tomorrow. They go in the freezer, so that will be a start to Christmas baking. Not much else going on here. Jan

Carol, can’t believe I missed your post. My mind is getting very selective lately. You must live way out in the country, if people are hunting in your area. We see deer around here, but hunting isn’t allowed in this area. Very slow posting and keeps resetting. A first for me. Better post before I lose it. Jan

Good morning. 53, going to 61, with partly sunny sky.
PT went well yesterday. Did a lot of walking. I got some info on the therapist's family, but couldn't seem to get started on anything. Nothing seemed to show up that would help to get her tree going. It was also surprising to me how many people in the US have that last name. I don't think there are that many that are related to me, so maybe she isn't either. I'll keep trying, though.
Just finished watching tennis, another match starts at 1:30, so will watch parts of that in between football. Nebraska plays at 3 pm. They need this game to get to bowl eligibility, even though there are two more to go. It would be nice to get that 6th win today.
Good to see you here today, Snow.
Carol, busy as always. You're right about taking it easy. Jobs will still be there.
Jan, you can keep the snow for a while longer yet.
Carolyn, sorry you missed the baby, and the trip.
Have a good day, everyone.
Leroy

Good Morning!! I'm starting just like Carol. We don't have any sun left Carol. The sunrise was nice but now it has clouded over already. I am thinking they said rain for late today but not sure. I know they said light snow for Wednesday. I am just holding my breath till I get my new furnace. Funny how fast time flies but when they say next week the days just drag by so slowly. It has been warm enough in the house except for the bathroom, chilly in there. I dread seeing my electric bill for the space heaters. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since I had a furnace. I'm just glad it broke down now and not when winter really hits. Sometimes I am just lucky. I am getting excited about getting groceries this next week. I enjoyed getting on the computer and clicking on my decisions. I have a rather large delivery to be delivered next Friday. I did the same thing yesterday with Dollar general. I didn't get on the computer but made a list. Then the gal from Hospice picked it up and brought it home and put it away. It took all the huffing and puffing out of it for me. Funny thing is even without all the work I still slept real good last night. Only up twice that I remember. I read and hope all you have planned for the weekend works out good for you and I hope you enjoy yourself as well. Later...

I am home. We had a very nice lunch. Carol, I meant to tell you I have a cane, a wheelchair and 3 walkers. Shower chair too. Lots of it was things my DH had. I just kept it all and glad I did. I use the wheelchair for a prop. Glad I kept all of this.

Good Morning All, Dang, it's cold out there. I looked and it's 43º. The wind is coming from the SE, and the flags are all straight out with very little flapping. BRR!
I finished my stocking cap last night, so that's done except to weave in the tails. It wants to pucker a bit; I didn't think I was that tense while I was crocheting. LOL
I've started trying to drink more Silk Almond Milk to get more calcium, and I also started taking a chewable calcium tablet I have. Wow, I slept until my alarm went off this morning. I only got up once to go to the bathroom, so that was a good 8 hours of sleeping. I haven't had that in quite awhile. The almond milk supposedly has 50% more calcium than cows milk. I think I just need to go back to taking my 1 A Day Vit/Min tablet.
Sandy is having BBQ Ribs tomorrow. Yes!! I wonder what kind of pie? I haven't had her coconut cream pie in forever. She was swamped this morning. I felt bad for her. Some of her older teen grandkids drove 10 hrs. to see here, and she was swamped at the cafe. She said they had a group of 20 people right off the bat this morning, and then several other large groups. She so needs to find a way to get a bigger grill. I think what she has now is maybe? 3.5'x2.5'. Yeah, it's way to small at breakfast time when you're trying to make pancakes and foods that take a long time to cook like omelets with veggies in them, but if she isn't busy, and only cooking burgers, it's fine.
I have no plans for today. I only have a couple more 'Thank You' notes to write, 2 for hand-deliver to the neighbors, and I'll be done.
Everyone stay as warm as you can.

So far today it was cloudy with rolling clouds that sure looked like rain and it did sprinkle, right before the sun came out. DH tried tot get the lights up for Christmas but seems to be an electrical problem...we figured out the extension cord is good, the timer is good but not sure about the part that makes more plugins available...it is a weird one so he gave up until tomorrow when he may not be as stressed out about it. I got the white clothes washed, dried and put away...could not convince myself to do more ironing today.
I called in refills yesterday on the latest meds for the heart; they said today after 4 pm so need to run to Walmart to pick them up...& a few other small things as well.
Have yourselves a good day!
