Good morning all. The sunrises have been beautiful all week. Most sun I've seen in November in a long time. The weather guessers are saying a couple of inches of snow for the end of next week. Usually already had our first snowfall so it seems late.
Got all the chores done didn't find the mouse hole. He could of just slipped in any where hope that will be the last of them.
Need to water houseplants today. I'm trying to keep up on that. It's opening day of gun season for deer around here. I heard some shooting this morning but not to much recently.
Have a wonderful day.

Good morning everyone. Our day is starting out at 38º and going to low 50s with a brisk wind all day. Maybe we'll see the sun and maybe we won't. Yesterday I managed to get lots done around home. I took Curt to the post office and was relieved to get into the chiropractor. Once she got my neck and lower back into place, my dizziness went away. I made chicken stir fry for supper. I didn't want to make a sauce, so grabbed a jar of Sweet and Sour I had in the cupboard. While cooking I noticed it was Sweet and Sour sriracha. Obviously sriracha is hot. It burned m throat a little, but nothing that couldn't be soothed with milk. I discovered in the night that sriracha (or maybe the rutabaga I put in it) causes gas and I feared my sheets were going to start on fire. I am not sure what I'm doing today. I'm thinking about possibly making a trip to Rochester MN to do some shopping. I have a 30% off at Kohls and also a $60 store credit at Menards. It would be a good time to pick up some Christmas presents. Wishing everyone lovely Saturday. Charlene

Good morning. It was in the low 40s this morning and I could see my breath when I called the cats that were still outside. I still have the hanging baskets on the porch but will bring them in soon and put them in the cat cage with the holiday cactus. Today I need to water those baskets and all the houseplants inside. I think I'll fill a few jugs from rain containers and bring them in to warm up before I water. I also have a few peppers that I should probably pick and cut up. If Walmart hadn't been so crowded I would be cooking cabbage today and put the peppers in it but I still plan to get cabbage Monday. First thing after coffee is a trip to DG for paper products we are out of. I noticed DGS had obviously dug in a cabinet and found old baby shower napkins as some used ones were in the trash. At least they didn't go to waste. They would be really old anyway and should have been used years ago. When it warms up I plan to do at least a little outside, maybe mulch the leaves and finally pull the zinnias. I'll leave the tithonia till frost kills them since I occasionally see butterflies and bees on them still.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Charlene, thanks for that mental picture and laugh today, along with the warning not to buy any sauce like that. Sounds like something DGS would like but not me.

Sandy, the "s" word is in my forecast as well. Currently it is sunny and windy. Charlene, have fun shopping. Until recently I did not know Menards also sold some groceries and household items. I had an interesting experience yesterday. I went to the bank to deposit a check and then to get Christmas cash for the kids and grandkids. Then I went to different stores where my debit card was denied. What the heck? So I went back to the bank and told them my problem. Turns out since the deposit was written on a different bank, it would have to clear that bank before my account was credited. However, the cash I took out came right out my account leaving me with no funds. The person explained that this morning all would be well if the deposit cleared his bank. I checked right away this morning and all is well. Embarrassing but lesson learned. Off to the library. They are offering a free wreath making class. DD and DGD are also coming even though they both live out of town. Looking forward to this - especially DGD's advice and help. Marlene

The sun is shining brightly the temperature is currently at 55° and it is very windy. We are under a fire watch until tonight.
Think lunch will be chicken, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Sounds good to me. Campbells now has a no salt tomato soup and mushroom soup. I got the mushroom soup, the store did not have the tomato soup so may just buy it online.
Time is wasting, need to get back to my book. Have a good day.

Looks like we are about 50° right now and cloudy. Not too sure what the weather will do as the day goes on. I did see that come Thursday we'll probably be getting some semblance of snow. It doesn't appear likely to accumulate, but that isn't being ruled out. That is as per my favorite meteorologist this morning. The weather app on the laptop is saying 1" of snow on Thursday. I can't complain. I think it was last year that we had sticking snow on Halloween. I've kept busy this morning stripping my bed and working on laundry. Other little things cropped up along the way to distract me here and there. Overall, I am not unhappy with what I have gotten done so far. Still to do, I want to go outside and dump some of the potting mix from my buckets into the hole that is forming in the backyard. It is where we once had a maple tree growing, but DH had it taken out maybe 10 years ago. When David mowed last, he noticed it had gotten noticeably deeper from when he showed me before and I filled it in then. I should probably get some gravel of some sort to fill it in more solidly before adding dirt on top. I know we have chipmunks burrowing around in the backyard, so I question if they aren't making things worse. Trash has to be taken out as long as I am going outside. It keeps building up and building up! Eventually, I need to remake my bed and put on the winter comforter. Last night was my last frustrating one for a while with tangled sheets, the bedspread, and my grandmother's afghan. I have no idea what I will do after that, but I strangely have energy to do more. Beautiful sunrise, Bet! Thanks for sharing it. Your location seems perfect for great sunrises and sunsets. I have houses and wires everywhere here. Sorry, Sandy, that you couldn't find the mouse hole. They are crafty little dickens that can get just about anywhere they want to. Charlene, I'm happy to hear you are feeling better after the trip to the chiropractor. Thanks for the giggle on your nighttime experiences last night. Today definitely sounds like a good day for you to do some Christmas shopping. Hope you find good stuff at great prices. Nice use of those old napkins, Leslie. Your DGS was being quite resourceful there. I can't believe you still have tithonia doing well enough to have butterflies and bees still. Such a different environment we live in. Like Mary M. still being able to feed the hummers. Yikes, Marlene, on that nasty banking experience, but now you know how that all will work in the future. Have fun with your girls today! Carol, I hope you like your book and enjoy lunch. I ought to get some chicken out of the freezer to do something with tonight. There's nothing like making yourself sick of frozen meals to make you want to cook again. Well, I best get moving before the mood leaves me to keep working. Have a sensational Saturday!

Good morning, it’s 37° heated to highs around 48°. We started with heavy fog and now it’s just cloudy with rain expected later. Bet, your view yesterday morning was absolutely gorgeous. Precious still has problems with her allergies and was coughing so yesterday we needed to get her prescription for her cough again. We usually get the prescriptions at her vets, but they are really expensive there. So yesterday we got a prescription from the Vet and had it filled at our pharmacy. Same prescription was over $40 at the vets and $15.07 at our local pharmacy. No special plans for today. We’ll just see what the day brings. have a great day everyone.

Good morning all! 78° and sunny. It was in the60's this morning. I've been spending a lot of time outside with this lovely weather. Sure would be nice if it stuck around longer.
I went to the Master Gardener plant sale today where I've been successful with a number of plants over the years. I got Shampoo Ginger, Dune sunflower, giant milk weed and tropical milkweed. The tropical milkweed had monarch caterpillars on it. There were so many that I had the lady behind me in line put some in the milkweed she was purchasing. There were too many for the plant I had.
I also got a salvia with the name Wendy on it. I couldn't leave that behind. 😀. There's a couple of craft sales in the village today. I'll go check those out next.
Hope your Saturday is pleasant.

Good morning. It was chilly on my walk as it was only 50°.
Bet- another beautiful picture.
Charlene- I wish they had Menards down here. I miss that store.especially around the holidays. Thanks for the laugh this morning.
Sandy- if you bring one or two of those kittens into your house you wouldn't have mice. We never had mice at the lake when we had Louie, our neighbors did but not us .Even during the winter as I would brush Louie and leave the cat hair laying around. We have quite a few Ferrell cats in our park and there are a few people who feed them, infact I do when Lillian is gone as she has 5 she feeds plus a couple stragglers.
Marnee-I hope this medicine works for Precious.
Wendy- those plants sound pretty.
Time to go play cards.Elaine

Good evening. 6:30 and I am headed to bed shortly. Busy day. Went to town this morning and got shopping done and picked up the last 2 turkey breasts. They are finally thawed and are brining overnight. Made a lot of lists and schedules for what I have to do when tomorrow and Monday. Did finally get the greenhouse emptied out and down. Body is paying for that tonight. Still have everything to move to the garage and shop. All sitting on my small porch ready to go down the stairs so can barely get out of the house. Also got the last batch of rolls mixed up and are now in the refrigerator for the last rise and I will shape them and get the in the oven tomorrow morning before the Turkey goes in. Alice did clean the floors for me while I was getting the last things done in the kitchen and I got the floors mopped. The dishwasher needs emptying but not enough dishes to run in now so will wait until morning when it will be full quickly.
Enjoy your evening.

You all hear me fuss when life is hard, and I truly appreciate you listening, but today I am able to say the day has been good. Things have been pretty decent with DH today. I'm hoping the new meds are kicking in. Maybe it is me just letting more stuff slide and not getting upset about very much if it doesn't matter. Either way, I'm grateful. Besides catching up on laundry today, I got outside and spent hours working on tidying up out there. I can't tell you the last time I was able to do that. DH kept asking me where I had been when he'd see me in the house and he called my phone twice (I didn't have it on me at the time), but I was still able to finish what I wanted to get done. I cut up the branches I'd cut from the lilac that was blocking a walkway in the backyard and got those bagged up. While I was at it, I also cut off the 4:00s and cleared "Faith's Corner". The plants had taken over so badly that we hadn't seen concrete Faith in months. I couldn't pull or dig the tubers up because the had been growing in stone from seeds that fell from last year's plants. I am not keen on letting that happen again next year but will have to figure out a way to deal with all the wayward seeds that I know will germinate in the spring. I found the flap to the dryer vent that I hope the neighbor can reattach for me. I also hope a rodent doesn't decide it wants to come in the house through there in the meantime. It's been off forever and a day, but it would be my luck that now I cleared the space some pesky mouse or chipmunk might decide to come inside for the winter. As planned, I used some of the dirt in my veggie buckets to fill in the holes in the yard that have formed. Some I think are chipmunk related, but the biggest one is probably from dying tree roots and dirt settling in. I got a few more pots in the garage. I'll need to work on organizing that better so it isn't a fire escape hazard. While doing all that, I pumped a ton of water off the pool cover. I was getting concerned that the cover might not hold up over the winter if I didn't lessen the weight on it. There are signs of a couple of seams wearing thin. I will continue to pump tomorrow and leave very little on the cover. It felt really good to accomplish some needed outside chores today. I was surprised that it was so comfortable with me just wearing a hoodie. We had no sunshine today to warm us up. I asked the neighbor tonight if he could take a look at the leak in our showerhead hose. He said he will sometime this next week. So long as DH doesn't use the high pressure setting on the handheld piece, we should be okay. His thought is that our issue may be a washer. Hadn't thought of that. DH did try to hand tighten it without any luck, so the washer makes sense. Well, I think that was my day. I hear the microwave beeping that my frozen meal is ready and I heard a ding indicating a new text message. Time to go see what is up in the kitchen. Hope the day was good to everyone! G'night.

Thought I stop by & let everybody know I'm still alive.
Internet was extremely slow yesterday so I shut it down for a while & then forgot about it.
Not much going on anyway. We've been chilly & had a little shower Thur.night. About 1/4 ".
Still haven't mowed the leaves but did finally get the LR vacuumed today. Put out my TG garden flags & working on some type of DIY baffle to keep the squirrels from climbing my shepherd hook & helping themselves to the PB feeder.
Went to the bank yesterday to get some cash for an upcoming Bingo event. The Monday after TG; 2 slices of pizza, salad, dessert, beverage & 12 games of Bingo (non cash prizes) for $25. It's a fund raiser for our local watchdog group. Then I went next door to Food Lion for a few thing & ended up spending $30.
Last night was dance night. Band wasn't that good but they sure were loud. Not a lot of people there & most (incl. my group) left by 9 PM.
Talked to Mike today & Max is transferring to Maryland next yr. for his last 2 yr of college. Maddie is now a mngr for her school's wresting team. I also found out they now have coed wrestling teams in school. Girl vs girls & Boys vs boys. BUT if there is no girl available the girl can wrestle a boy & they leave it up to the boy to decide if he wants to wrestle the girl or not! I wonder how many teen age boys turn that down. BTW, Maddie is not wrestling.
Mary,I'm wondering if there is some kind of short in the plug to your heater. Did you use it last yr? Do you have a lot of things plugged into one outlet?
