MIDWEST: Sunday November 10

Good Morning,  Its a cloudy damp morning, it rained overnight not much, and its to rain again about 5.  No sun, so not much will get done.  Its 45 and the high about 57, I don't see it getting that high.
I will wash the sheets on our bed, dry and put back on, figure something out for dinner, I'm leaning towards chicken, maybe soup.  
Yesterday didn't go as planned, both girls were busy, Michelle wasn't home and Lori was just going to go on a ride.  We did stay and talk with Brad and Gage for a short time. We didn't get the squash.
I build a fire in the pit, Ray cut up more work, after getting done, we sat and roasted marshmallows.  It was rather nice, the fire put off lots of heat.  I stayed out just a tad later then Ray but of course its dark at 6pm.

Linda,  I really like the butternut squash and a few others like acorn, carnival and hubbard.  Most of them are really good.

Guess that its for now, need to feed the birds.

Good morning, Carol and Snow.  44, going to 58, with partly sunny sky.

I watched tennis and football yesterday, with a little news.  Watched #3 Georgia and #4 Miami get beat.    Saw Coco Gauff win the year end championship in tennis.  I also took a nap.  That was my day.  The Chiefs play today, so will watch some of that.  Men's championship is going on now in Italy.  It's a round robin between the 8 highest ranking players.

Good morning everyone.
    Carol, sorry that both girls were busy yesterday. Sounds like our girls, we rarely see them, just text or phone. Both of them got home late last night. At least they didn’t arrive home to snow. DD1 was on vacation and it was hot there, DD2 was in Vancouver and it rained the whole time. There was quite a bit of snow on the high mountain highway she had to drive thru but it was all good, plowed and not snowing at the time.
    MaryinM, you’re sure a busy little worker, clearing out stuff. That’s what we’ve been doing. Still have a long way to go. 
   Leroy, good to hear PT went well. 
   Laundry today, clothes, had to split it into several loads there was so much, will take me all day. Be glad when that’s done.

Good Morning.  It is overcast and trying to rain.  The high for today is 52 degrees but no wind.  Tomorrow will be a few degrees cooler and then it will warm up to the mid 50's for the week.  The house hasn't been to cool but with now air moving it is feeling stale.  
Went to bed when SNL came on and fell asleep right away.  Woke up at midnight setting upright.  Laid back down and fell back asleep only to wake a few minutes after 1am.  I don't know why I am setting up. Last time I was doing this is when they found my low oxygen.  I gave up trying to sleep about 4 am.  Sure isn't much on that time of the day.  Not sure what I will do today but it won't be much.  I pruned a few plants yesterday and moved some of them around.  I should empty out the dirt in the vacuums.  I got one done yesterday, the hard one, so just the easy one left to do.  Maybe I will clean the inside of the ref.  I have not done that in a long time.  I think I have ny grocery list done so I can call that in on Monday.  I hope everyone is doing well and having a good day.

MaryinMi, I so hope what you applied doesn't make the floor slippery. We DON'T need you falling. 

The only thing I did today was feed my face, watch videos on the computer, and watched the KC Chiefs win their football game. Valerie had to be cheering in heaven because her Chiefs won in the last seconds of the game with a block field goal. I know hubby was cheering.  

Hubby called Bryan and we talked to him for a few minutes. We said hi to Hudson and Brylie. Brylie was just finishing up her homework, and was then going to be heading out to volleyball practice. He's gonna be really busy with work this coming week, so won't here from him too much. They have a big conference in Des Moines this week. He did say that the Tori's Angels Gala last night raised $200K+. They said they were overwhelmed by all the donations and the generosity. Hey, they have a lot of kids that need help. They just accepted their 167th kid. 

We got another 2" of rain so that gets us up to 6" at least in the last couple weeks. I still haven't used up the water in my wagon. 

I'm gonna go look up a video on how to put a cuff sleeve on that cocoon cardigan. If nothing else, I'll just extend more of what I already have on their now.

A late good evening. Missed church today as I did not sleep well so slept in until about 8:30. Sat in My chair with the tv on and had coffee. Finally got moving and tidied up the main bathroom for a change, started the chicken I got out of the freezer yesterday and thawed. Made some home made noodles and we had chicken and noodles...been a long time since I made that from scratch...tasted good. Also ,ade a simple fruit salad with fruit cocktail, marshmallows and sour cream. I added a few maraschino cherries so the dressing was pink. DH should have mowed the leaves in back yesterday when the wind was not blowing...he got them done today while I dumped the pots on the deck and swept the leaves off of it.

I had my shower and washed my hair and sitting here waiting for it to dry.

MaryinMichigan, I sure enjoyed your story about the floors! When you were young how would you know you had to strip the floor before the varnish? You were just trying to make things better.

Hello to everyone else. I am watching the old movie Mrs Doubtfire with Robin Williams. He was sure a good actor!

Tomorrow for vets day, DH & middle DD will go to the free breakfast. I will hopefully get my sheets washed and back on the bed then go to the kidney doctor who moved to a new group and a new location. Youngest DD will meet me there as my 2nd set of ears.

Those dratted bugs are still flying around and are drawn to the computer screen. I tried putting a strip of packing tape on the desk with the sticky side out but so far it is not a bug magnet and I have caught none. I had great hopes it would work. Remember the old tape traps you could buy to catch flies?
