Good morning so glad it's Friday. I like how it is lighter in the mornings to see when I leave for work. That will be short lived though.
Work week went fast and training went good. First thing I did was move the desk so I could face the door. Before your back was facing the door and I want to see what is coming after me. The woman I was training was a bit overwhelmed with the paper work. Hopefully she is understanding everything. But so many things to remember. Sometimes I forget things also.
Momma cat had 5 kittens and they are all hanging out underneath my deck. My neighbor across the street feeds the homeless cats but has gone away and they are hungry. I put some food out for them last night. I'm going to have to catch them and take them to a shelter or the neighborhood will be over run with cats. Wish the neighbors would get them spayed. I may keep a grey kitten but not sure they won't even come to me. I open the door and they run. I have a feeling this will be job this weekend trying to catch kittens.
I have a few errands to get done today and usual household chores. Have a great day.

Good morning. Clear and 31. High right around 50 the next 3 days then mid 40s after that. We’ll gladly take it b/c its not unusual for us to have snow at this point that lasts all winter.
Yesterday I washed laundry, ran an errand, and did some things in the house. It was sunny but windy and the wind had a bite to it. I did go for a 2 mile walk later in the afternoon. Worked on getting hunting stuff packed which is a job in and of itself.
I have some things I will bake and some food prep to do before we head out today. Dd figured she’d be here by 10:30. We will still stay at my moms even tho we are hunting at my brothers. We will probably do a mix of going back to her house and staying at his in between morning and evening hunts.
Leslie-Wow that is an insane amount of rain. Stay safe.
Sandy-Good luck kitten catching. My dil to be does a lot of that.
Wishing everyone a great day.

Good morning. Our river crested in the middle of the night at a record high. I guess even our big flood in 2015 wasn't worse than this, which is surprising. I snagged a few pics from Facebook that I'll post on the picture thread to give you an idea. In looking at the list of road closures this morning apparently the intersection at our mall that I went through twice yesterday was closed for a while after my trip. When I drove through people going in and out of the mall had to drive through water but it wasn't that deep. Not sure what I'll do today.
Sandy, good luck with the kitties. I regret taking Hydrox and her babies to our shelter because she is still there and I know she hates being caged. I wish I could have kept them a little longer and then just taken the kittens. She was a good cat but I couldn't work out keeping her shut up inside for the 3 months it now takes to get an appointment with the humane society to be spayed. I don't know what happened to her kittens. I haven't seen an update on them on Facebook and I wonder if they caught the virus that went around in the shelter and died. Once you sign over an animal it's almost impossible to get it back without spending a lot of money. I probably wouldn't qualify. I may take some canned catfood there next week and inquire about her but they probably won't give me any info. They just took 50 cats from a hoarder so they are overwhelmed.
Melissa, happy hunting.

It looks like this might be another lovely autumn weather day today. We have sunshine and should warm up into the lower 60s. Rain is headed our way for Sunday supposedly. We shall see if that actually happens, and if we get it, how much. Right now the forecast is for 0.6" to fall. I'm hoping that DH will settle into something long lasting so I will feel comfortable leaving to have coffee with a gal from the old caregivers group. He started out good, but once his exceptionally long movie ended he seemed like he was looking for something to get into. I think he was just pushing back on something I said when he said he was going to go out into the backyard when I leave. After all, he is an adult and I need to grow up. Ugh. I must have tripped the ego button without realizing it until it was too late. When I am done here, I may try once again to reach the elder care attorney who hasn't called me back yet. I called on Tuesday for Pete's sake to set up an appointment. I'm not sure begging to be seen is a great start. The gal I am meeting today is a retired attorney so I think I will pick her brain about whether or not I have to see an elder care attorney. We have a longtime acquaintance who is an attorney that did our Wills and POAs. I question whether or not he could help me as much as a supposed elder care attorney. Morning, Bet. Pretty pic! Glad to hear, Sandy, that work went well this week. Good luck with the kittens. Melissa, this is pretty unusual weather here too. Last year we had snow on Halloween. This year, we had a near record high temp. Have a good weekend. I am sorry to hear about the situation with Hydrox, Leslie. It's too bad that they won't even give you information about her. So, they'd rather keep her and the expense of her than let you have her back? Wow! Well, I need to go check my phone. I just heard a ding. I wonder if it is the gal I am meeting today. Time will tell. Have a fabulous Friday, friends!

Good morning all. Another mild day but no sign of sun at the moment and we're likely to have some showers later on. Certainly not complaining. Hubby and I are going out for lunch today. Every spring and fall the restaurants in the County do special meals for 3 weeks, to encourage customers in what might otherwise be a dead time of year for them. They will put on a special (each course with 2 or 3 choices) at a lower than usual price. We will take advantage of that while we can and then we are off to get our flu shots this afternoon - exciting stuff!
Have a great day.

Good morning, it is currently 62° and the sun is shining. The high they say will be in the lower 70s.
Lots of sirens at the moment, when I looked it said they were going to the Bible college down the street. I am assuming it will be another false alarm. They seem to be having a lot this year.
I am currently trying to decide what to have for lunch. I have lots of options but to choose...maybe some lasagna or not. I do have some chicken that I need to use so maybe I will have that.
Need to do some laundry so that may come next.
Have a good day.

Good morning 84° and sunny. I can't believe it's Friday again already. Aerobics this morning. I went to a nursery about an hour and a half away this week. Plants that we're $6 at the local nursery I got for $2 there. And they are good sized plants. I got more red salvia, geraniums and sunpatiens.
I need to get them in the ground. I was debating starting tomatoes because I see others around the village when they get to that ripening stage and wished I had. I'm still adjusting to these reverse seasons from NY.
I'm going to the movies tonight with gfs to see "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" then to Culvers to eat. This restaurant is only a few months old.
Enjoy your day and have a great weekend.
Bet, I've enjoyed your pics all week!

Good morning, we have cloudy skies with temps in the low 40s and are headed to highs in the upper 50s low 60s. However, the sun is trying to peek through the clouds. Our forecast indicates one more dry, warm day before another rainy weather pattern sets in.
When our rainy weather started the lawn starting growing again and yesterday was a good for mowing the backyard. The grass wasn’t completely dry but was getting too tall for Precious to deal with. I also cleaned the bird’s bath and gave them some fresh water. It was also a good day to get out the crawl space covers and cover the crawl space vents so, that’s done. I also text the lawn service to make sure we are still on schedule for leaf pick up once the leaves are done falling. Last year it took 3 men 1 hour to remove 5 yards of leaves.
Today I need to clean the hummingbird feeders and make them some fresh nectar. When last I looked one hummer was perched near the patio and several others were chasing each other around the backyard. And I still need to think about getting groceries.
Bet, gorgeous picture of the moon.
Sandy, hopefully the woman you were training took notes. Would be hard to remember everything.
Melissa, have a good hunting trip.
Leslie, I just checked out your pictures and that’s an amazing amount of rain. Glad you made it home safely.
Karen, enjoy your lunch with your friend.
Tasty, how nice to find restaurants that offer specials with lower cost. Over the last several yeas many of the restaurants in my area closed.
Mary, you got your exercise in early with a trip to the gym.
Carol, I hope everything is okay at the college.
Wendy, enjoy the movies.
Have a great day everyone.
