What an early start for you this morning Charlene! It's still dark here, and not quite 6am. However I had a good sleep so don't mind being up early and sitting quietly with my cup of tea and tablet - hubby is still in bed altho I think he is also awake. I shall not be going anywhere until the appliances have been delivered and installed. No canning group for me today as I don't want to pass on this sore throat that I have. Have a lovely day!

Good early morning. Must not be the only one thats a victim of the time change. I was happy that it was 4:52 when I woke up and not an hour earlier. I have been waking up about the time dh gets up for work so then a couple days of an hour sooner. This was almost back to that. I also slept straight thru so that is always a good thing.
Yesterday morning I colored my hair then just as I was done showering ds1 called. He was working but was out driving so had a nice long chat with him. He has 3 yrs on the job now with the county and almost 5 years of service overall. Time sure flies. I did manage to wash 2 loads of laundry, empty the dishwasher, and a couple other things prior to lunch. After was spent packing some food for dinner and getting ready to leave. Dd had fun playing in the all star game. She played goalie the first half then rotated in and out as a forward in the 2nd half. She much prefers goalie! Lol! She made some really nice saves and the team she was on won 2-0. It was fun to watch her play. We got home at 8:45. Only had one deer dart in front of us on the drive home. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Today I will venture out at some point to vote. Need to go buy my hunting license as well. I also should have a prescription ready at target at some point. This afternoon our windows are being delivered so need to be home for that. Beyond those things nothing specific.
Wishing everyone a great day.

Good morning. When I went to let the cats in I found out it had been raining. Most were on the porch so not that wet but Ziggy tends to go on the deck at night when DGS puts him out or won't let him in so he was wetter. Wish I had blown the leaves off the deck yesterday. Now they will have to dry. I did sweep the front porch while I was out feeding the birds, and finished raking the pine straw. Today is Bible study and then I'll probably go vote, run to the PO for stamps and the atm. I have 4 birthday cards to get in the mail this week. The twins turn 9 on the 12th and their parents both have birthdays on the 13th. This year I got the same card for both of the boys since it was the only one that was for a 9th birthday and I didn't see any others that I liked. I normally get different ones for them.
Bet, beautiful sunrise.
Tasty, hope you feel better soon and that the appliances get installed without a problem.
Melissa, I hope things go well with the windows. There was another hunting accident recently, this time in the county that Ethan's kids live in. A young father died. His family reported him missing after he went hunting but later found him dead. No details on what happened just that it was an accident and no one else was involved. His wife is expecting their 2nd child. Several hunting or gun related accidents in the past year have involved young children. That's always sad. My youngest grands step father has taken them hunting, one at a time, and I do worry about that because I don't really know how responsible he is. I say that because I've seen a photo where he was teaching the 6 year old about working on cars and had him sitting on top of the engine reaching down to get something. That wouldn't be a problem but I've had the hydraulic hinges in older vehicles like the one they were working on fail and I've been hit in the head with the hood when one did that.
Have a good day.

Looking like a nice autumn morning here. It's cloudy but still pleasant in the upper 60s. If the forecast is true, we'll rise another 10 degrees for our high today. The rest of the forecast looks more "normal" with highs in the 60s. Yesterday ended better than it started. Not anything to write home about, but better. I managed to do a little something for myself in the middle of the day. I went out and planted my crocus, hyacinth, and tulip bulbs. They won't make a huge colorful splash in the spring, but there ought to be something cheery coming up. I also cut back the NE aster and several rose bushes while I was outside. I may regret it, but I left some of the rose trimmings lay on top of the largest grouping of tulip bulbs to possibly dissuade the rodents from digging them up. I used Repels All both in the hole and on top of the dirt, but for added protection I thought maybe the thorns would help. I REALLY want tulips in the spring. Today will be a day of hurry up and wait election-wise. We voted by mail weeks ago, so there is nothing we can do today but see how things turn out. DH is going to be anxious all day long as he has always been a political animal. He called a protégée of his this morning bright and early. Here it was still way too early at 7:30, but he neglected to think of where his friend lives now, in Indiana. It might be that he still lives in the Eastern Time Zone, but it is also possible that he operates on the Central Time Zone making that call at 6:30am. I messaged the guy on Facebook and apologized for the call. He was apparently up already and responded quickly that he has his volume off on his phone until after work so there was no problem. I will give DH his phone back shortly since Gordy will be giving him a call after he gets to work. I keep forgetting to take the dang phone with me to bed at night! He really ought not have it until 9:00. I have no plans for the day. DH has plans for me, though, so we will see what I actually do. DSon has urged me to set boundaries with DH and stick with them. I try, but it is still helpful to hear it from him. Hope the sore throat is nothing serious and goes away quickly, Tasty. Nice of you to think of others and not do canning group today. Bet, that sunrise is lovely. For a minute there, I thought it was of a spot where I sometimes take pictures nearby. I'm happy to hear, Melissa, that your DD had such a good time at the all-star game and came away with the win. Bible Study at my church was canceled for today/tonight, Leslie. Not sure why. I guess the Director of Evangelization just wanted to be sure everyone had the chance to get out and vote. Big birthday time for you right now! It has to be hard keeping things similar for the twins, yet different. I can't believe they are 9 already! Well, I guess I will close for now but come back later. I think I am going to go hang out with Grumpy Gus. He just got his phone back so that probably takes some of the sting out of me not letting him eat Malcolm's Lucky Charms cereal. Life would have been easier to just let him eat them, but I didn't. I worried about the marshmallows and didn't want him eating something I had bought specifically for Mac. He ended up improvising by putting soft marshmallows in his own cereal. Fine. He was thinking on that, not just impulsively grabbing whatever he wanted. He gets points for creativity! This felt a little like a moral victory in that DDIL did consent to the Lucky Charms for Mac when they usually watch his sugar intake. I could have bought another box, but dang it, these were "free". Kroger had a buy 2 get 3 free sale going on. That box was my last freebie! LOL! Have a terrific Tuesday.

Good morning, its 43° with cloudy skies and a chance of showers headed to highs around 53°.
Melissa, the plumber was able to take care of the water supply valve and didn’t find any problem with the water line and thought the problem was with the fridge and after days of having to move the fridge and clean up water we decided not to invest more money on an old fridge.
Do you sometimes wonder why things don’t seem to go right? Yesterday was one of those days. As the new fridge was scheduled to be delivered between 2 and 4 PM we had time to transfer the frozen items to the freeze in the garage and pack fridge items in ice.
It was one of those on and off rainy shower days with more showers than breaks. Well, at 4 pm we still didn’t have any calls or delivery so, we called the appliance store we got the fridge from. Shortly thereafter that call we received a call from our delivery people and they said it would be another 25 minutes before they would be here. It was around 4:45 pm when they got here.
The two young delivery men seemed nice and as appliances only fit through the front door, they needed to move my recliner couch over a little. The doors on my old fridge also needed to be removed so they could get it out the door. One of the men came back in and ask if I had a broom and dustpan they could use, seems they broke a glass shelf and need to clean that up. Once that was done, they carried in the new fridge/freeze and started to set it up.
They just had to put the door handles on when they came and said we have a problem! Seems the fridge doesn’t fit under the overhead cabinet.
When we went shopping for the fridge, I had the original paper work from the old fridge with all the specifications from the old fridge and Sis had taken a picture of the sticker inside the old fridge with all the dimensions. The sales clerk measured the new fridge and said the height was good and wasn’t any problem. Only he wasn’t right.
By this time, I was very upset. It’s now well after 5pm and is their manager still at work. I have been buying my appliances at their store for more years than I can remember and have never had any problems in the past. I believe their sales people should know what they are doing. However, one of the workers told me that the specifications used sometimes are not always right.
They called their manager and the cabinet isn’t something they will deal with but can give me the name of a carpenter. I could either have them take the new fridge back and they bring back my old fridge. Nice broken shelf and all.
So, what do I do? I don’t use that cabinet and it can be taken out. I really can’t see starting over and I need the fridge now. So, we decided to keep the new fridge, it’s sticking out from the wall about a foot .and until I can get a carpenter that's something we will have to deal with.
On today’s list is call a carpenter.
Bet, that is a beautiful sunrise.
Have a great day everyone.

Marnee, would you like my T-shirt that says “Are We having Fun yet?” And the other one that says “Nothing is Easy”! Think there are times! Hope you found a carpenter and the fix is easy. Saw a cute little dog like your “Precious” and the lady just laughed at us when we asked I we could buy him! Really cute dog named “Grey”! Hope your day improves.

Mary-taking that cabinet over the fridge down isn’t very hard. There are probably only four screws holding the back of it up. Two underneath and two inside or if you have a space above your cabinets, they would be just above. There may be one or two screws holding it to the cabinet next to it. Those would either be visible or sometimes they use longer screws where the hinge is to secure it to the cabinet next to it. So 6 screws. That’s it.

Thanks Linda, I’ll pass on the T-shirts. I don’t want any reminders of yesterday. We have a call into a carpenter and will have to wait and see what happens. Precious has gotten so good over the years and we love her dearly. At one time I wasn’t sure that would ever happened and I was not sure what we were going to do. She is so funny when she wants to go outside, she actually points to the door that she wants to go out and there’s no changing her mind.

Melissa, we are just not very talented and don’t do well on ladders. Funny thing is, I said if Melissa were here, she’d have this thing down in a minute or two.
