Good morning! It's cool right now, but temps are going to warm up...good for the voters. We'll be on the 9:30 bus run to the high school auditorium...first time voting in New Hampshire! My supper last night...salmon pie with curry potatoes was really good! I mixed butternut with a small amount of mixed vegetables, garlic & minced onion and put that in the bottom of a small casserole, flaked the cooked salmon on top of that, and topped all with the potatoes. Microwaved and enjoyed! Will decide later today on what we'll have for dinner tonight. No other plans today. Enjoy your day! Waving!

Good morning friends. Cold and raining here. It is supposed to warm up a bit later on. I have to work today so will be off in a bit.
Ann- That meal sounds yummy. We had the rest of the Chicken and mushroom. Dan's request! LOL
Have a great day all!

Good morning friends. We're supposed to have a very mild day here too, quite a change from the chilly, blustery damp one we had yesterday. Our new appliances are due to be delivered today - sometime! So we have to make sure one of us is here until they are here. I wasn't planning on joining the canning group anyway today - I don't think any of them would want my sore throat. Today we start some serious baking! Hope it's a smooth day Chris. BBL!

Good morning! DH & I plan to follow our election day tradition of going out for dinner and a movie, so we're not watching the news all evening before anybody even knows anything.
I'm sure we'll get calls at the bank asking if we're closed since we've been getting that a lot lately. Somebody said, "well, the schools are closed so I figured y'all would be." I said, "The schools are closed all summer too, but we're not!" ๐ I'll head to our local polling place -- an elementary school -- after I get off at 2.
Tasty, take good care of yourself today and enjoy your new appliances! Hope they come early and the install goes quickly.
Bet, what a gorgeous picture. I love it.
Ann, I would love your meal but DH, not so much. He loves shrimp but not a big fan of fish.
Chris, hope your workday goes well. It's cool and damp here but not actually rainy -- although I'll keep my jacket with me just in case.

Good morning. It's no longer cool in the morning, it's cold. Thank God it wasn't windy too yet. We didn't go out until 6:45 and it was only 42ยบ. Time for the extra heavy coat, earmuffs and scarf. Even Mandy was quick and shivering this morning.
This sounds silly but I'm so excited to get my hair cut today. I'm so tired of using half a can of hair spray and still looking like a hobo by the head. I have never had it get this unkept before. I need to find a back up stylist.
Yesterday I got a small package in the mail from my sister in law. It contained a news paper clipping and the program about Davids award ceremony from the YMCA and two Christmas ornaments that Lincoln and Patrick made in 2011. I was so happy to be able to share some of Davids prestigious award and for some memorabilia from the past. Now I'll have two more memories on my Christmas tree. Lincoln sent me 5 ornaments from the past last year. Now my tree won't be so "store bought". I miss all my special ornaments so terribly much.
Soup for lunch and supper. I've got left overs in the fridge so all I have to do is reheat and eat.
No standing in line for me. I sent my mail in ballot as soon as I got it. I'll be watching Christmas movies most of the day and evening.

I had an early morning knock at my door by the county official who approves the installation of a new hot water tank. I forgot he was coming but all is well. Next week is the winter check up on the AC/heating unit. It, too, is in the garage attic and is quite a climb. I guess the next thing will be the doohickey thingy that covers the outside faucets in front and back. I never knew such a thing existed until I moved here. I'll need DSILs help with changing the smoke alarm batteries which I like to do when the time changes. Probably next weekend. I'm sure there is more but the mind boggles. I already voted with DD last week and will stay away from news shows until tomorrow when I'll either laugh or cry. Supper tonite will be a mess of fresh green beans w/ham and potatoes. Yummy. Lori and Tasty, hope the cold symptoms you are both experiencing get better quick! Big hugs

I hope those who have been under the weather are feeling better today.
Hope it's a good day for you at work Chris.
That is a lovely picture Bet.
Mamma, we won't be home for Christmas, and there is no Bible study during December so I doubt that I will have a tree up for Christmas.
I got up at 6 and got all the potatoes in the oven, then heated the ready made chili. I doctored it a little. When I was done with delivery I picked up DH and we went to vote. We only had to drive over to the clubhouse here in the park. There were maybe 8 folks in front of us. We were out in about 15 minutes.
He decided to eat at the Care center. They were serving lasagna, but for some reason it did not sound good to me. I stayed here and had a bacon sandwich. Chicken and rice is supper.
I am ready to give the dogs a bath. They both look super shaggy. We gave them the bones from our rib supper last night so I think they are both outside chowing done on those. I sprayed my dirty oven and am waiting a bit then will tackle cleaning it.
That's my day! Waving to all! It sprinkled all morning, and it rained heavy in Houston, but we did not get the worst of it.

I doubt we will know the final outcome of the election for more than a couple days. I am not holding my breath for sure. The way things have been going, who knows? The early voting has been a blessing for a lot of people. In fact there are many people voting who never did before because of the timing.
I just spent 27 minutes on hold at our local locksmith and finally hung up. That was ridiculous. I am currently awaiting a call back from another company. I want to get my locks changed again because I'm not totally comfortable with some of the people that have been working with Troy even though they have only been Outdoors.
People have reacted well to my new glasses. I've almost forgotten that I am wearing something that is Miles from what I normally wear. LOL!
Now that salmon pie made with mashed potato crust sounds like something that I could eat on my diet. What do you suppose the chances are of my passing it along to our kitchen? LOL!
(((Lori))) you take care of yourself. The last thing you need is she got sicker.
Talk to you later.
Birdy

Voting after work took about 10 minutes, in and out. I heard a poll worker say that they would get busy again after 5, so I'm glad I was able to go when it was quiet.
