Good morning. It's low 60s now, going to high 70s today. I plan to do more raking to get the pine straw into the middle bed and cleaning inside. I'll be meeting my friend for lunch. This is her last week of leave from her carpal tunnel surgery. My friend and former coworker told me yesterday that the company that purchased the one we, and my lunch friend, work(ed) for has begun their layoffs/firing. They had agreed when they bought it out not to do anything until a year had passed and it's now been over a year.
Karen, I'm glad the visit went well. My guess would be that the items were left on purpose but perhaps they just felt like they didn't have room in their vehicle.

Good morning everyone. It's 54º and going to lower 60s with chances of scattered showers again. We got about another inch yesterday.
Yesterday morning I made a pot of potato soup. While doing so I got a call from Lair that his furnace wasn't working. He was waiting for the furnace man to come. Then I got a text from Phyllis's DD if I could get her Mom up, dressed and fed. They were cleaning their basement, so didn't have time. I hate to sound judgmental but....that daughter and husband have been gone for 12 days to PA visiting his parents. They got home late Friday night and spent 1 hour with Phyllis on Saturday. They are leaving today for 2 weeks at Duluth, so won't see her again for quite some time. In my opinion, the cleaning of the basement could have waited in lieu of spending some time with her Mom. Off my soapbox now. While at Phyllis's, I got a call from Lair that his furnace couldn't be fixed, so I took him the electric heater from my GH. He said last night that it was doing a good job keeping his kitchen area where he spends most of his time nice and warm.
This morning I have to go and clean for the lady minister and then to Phyllis's house. When I leave there I need to take Curt to the post office and then decide what I will do here at home.
Leslie...I often ask Alexa the weather, but she never calls me Sunshine....lol. The only time she calls me by name is when she wants an Amazon review for something I purchased.
Karen...I am so happy you had such a nice weekend with the kids. Great that you got some good pictures to reflect when needed.
Happy Monday to all. Charlene

Good morning, its 47° headed to highs around 56°. It is still dark outside as sunrise isn’t for another half hour or so. Our forecast is for a rain start followed by scattered showers. Yesterday our only sun break lasted a couple of minutes. Yesterday, after church Shar watched football and I watched some podcasts. Precious and I had a nice afternoon nap and I woke up in time to see the ending of the Seahawks game. Then last night we did a nice video chat with one of my sisters.
The new fridge is being delivered today so I’ll be getting ready for that.
Bet, what a beautiful photo everything looks so quiet and peaceful there.
Leslie, enjoy your lunch with your friend.
Charlene, wow you have another busy schedule. I am sorry to hear Lair furnace couldn’t be fixed. I also think cleaning a basement could wait and isn’t as important as spending some time with her Mom.
Karen, I am glad you had a great weekend with the kids and got some pictures.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning. 48 and quite gloomy but looks like the rain is done. High says 52. It was misting when dd got home at 9 last night and must have gotten a bit more overnight tho weather doesn’t show as anything measurable. Will be wet at dds game tonight no matter what since it shows its still raining hard in Duluth right now. She will only play half the game since its an all star game and there are 2 keepers per team.
Yesterday was mostly a lazy day. We spent a chunk of time at home depot getting parts for moms new dishwasher install. We then got stuff for our window project. We went to aldis as well. I did a few odds and ends at home but spent much of the day reading and watching football.
I was telling dh I fear that we may get a bird in the house once we pull the old windows out. I have a suction cup feeder on one of them and the chickadees and nuthatches are busy coming to it. The windows are 52”x73” so there will be a massive hole once the window is out. He plans to put plastic over the opening once hes done pulling the windows but in the meantime we’ll cross our fingers! Lol
I am going to color my hair and then do some cleaning. We will leave about 2 so we can shop at sams.
Karen-Glad the visit was good and that they will be back for the holidays.
Charlene-Sorry to hear Lairs furnace crapped out. Always something. I agree that visiting their mom would be much more important than cleaning the basement.
Mary-I missed that you were getting a new fridge. I knew you had the water issue fixed on it.
Ok I had to post and edit as typing was slowing and thats what it does before the page resets. So if you ever see what looks like an incomplete post thats why. I better get busy. Have a great day.

It is sunny and mild here right now. I believe our high for the day is expected to be in the low 70s. We had significant rain overnight for a while there. I couldn't see it because it came after dark, but I sure could hear the rushing of the rain. With that being the case, I fully intend to plant my bulbs today. The house is clean. Laundry is done. Nothing should hold me up on planting today. Once Deacon Bob leaves, I hope to be outside planting and cutting back what ought to be down for the season. We have plenty of meals in the freezer from the AOA, so I ain't cookin' tonight. This morning was a toughie for me. DH woke me at 5:15 wondering about if it was time for his medication. He also had a concern about his CPAP machine whistling once we identified that was the cause of the sound he was hearing. Other small things felt like mountains to me because I was so tired, so we squabbled a bit. I ended up trying to sleep in the family room with him just to keep something of an eye/ear on him. I never slept, but I feel more rested so I guess I dozed a bit here and there. Hopefully the rest of the day is less stressful. I'm not so sure about the new medication change being much help. I'll give it time, but I don't think the report back to the doctor will be all that positive. Thanks for the kind words about the kids' visit. It really was what both DH and I needed. While I couldn't make a collage of the visit the way I truly really wanted to, I was able to make something this morning that suffices and accurately highlights the visit. Next visit I will be more aware of what I want to photograph of the visit. Lovely photo, Bet! So peaceful and serene. It's a shame, Leslie, that the company will still be doing those layoffs/firings. Your thought could be right on what got left behind by the kids. However, they'll have less room when they leave from Christmas. I'll see what they think when they visit next. If the gazing ball stays for a while longer, it won't make me mad. It'll eventually go to them anyway. Charlene, I'm sure sorry about how things went with Lair's furnace. No fun there! Having recently lost my mother, I fear Phyllis's DD is going to regret not spending more time with her mother. Choosing other things over her mom might bite her in the butt one day. I can't tell you how many times something comes up or happens that I want to call DM and tell her about whatever it is. Like me wanting to talk to DM about the kids' visit and show her pictures. I bought DM a large mug a couple of years ago because it had a pretty horse on it and she drank a lot of tea. I got the mug back when DM died, and when DDIL was looking for something to cut out a clay ornament of Winston's hand she picked that. DM would have loved that. She never met Winston, but would love to have been a part of his ornament getting made. Phyllis's DD is missing stuff like that. Still, I'm glad you are there for Phyllis. I hope the refrigerator delivery goes well, Mary M. My fingers, Melissa, will be crossed on keeping the birds out of your house also. That will be a huge opening to cover up until the new window gets in. Love my birds, but I'd really hate them being in the house. One got in our basement, I'm guessing via the furnace, when we lived at our other house. It drove me crazy. I think I've blocked out how we got rid of it. LOL! Mary, it is pretty windy here, too. I think I saw that gusts could be significant. Well, I think I will head outside and see about planting those bulbs. It's now after noon and the deacon has come and gone. DH is acting peculiar so I can't be outside too long. Have a marvelous Monday!

Good afternoon, it is cloudy and 60°. I did two loads of laundry this morning and ran the dishwasher. I will probably have to run it again because I have been busy in the kitchen. Lasagna is in the oven, the chicken pie is done and, in the fridge, I also made the shepherd's pie and it is also in the fridge. Later or tomorrow I will get them all packaged for the freezer. Was also going to make chili but found that I have no beans so will just freeze the sauce and make chili another day.
I have a hair appointment tomorrow and then on Wednesday I go to the doctor to find out when they are going to do the infusion for osteoporosis
Have a good day.

Good evening,
We've been cloudy & cool all day. Never got out of the 60s.
Went to the P.O. this morning & then to WM for some bird seed. That was my excitement for the day.
Carol, I never put beans in my Chili.
Charlene, looks like Phyllis daughter is relying on you to do some things she should be doing. Bad news about Lair's furnace.
Not much news here.
