Good morning. 53, going to 67, cloudy with rain possible tonight. We had some light sprinkles last night. Not sure how much we got. Forgot to have Adam set the bedroom clock back. Didn't matter, as I was up at 8 am, then find out it was 7 am. I hear Adam up, too.
Watched Nebraska get beat yesterday. That was their best chance of winning 6 games, and becoming bowl eligible. Didn't happen. They have 3 tough games yet.
If things work out today, I am going to put my leg on, and try standing at the kitchen sink today. Hope it works out.
Have a good day, everyone.
Leroy

Good Morning, A dark morning, its 43 and going to 56 with raining coming in about 8. It will be a dark evening for sure. I just wish who ever decided to change our time 2 times a year, would think about all the harm it does. Anyone with sleep problems knows. I was up at 4:15 had to look at my phone to see the right time. If I went back to sleep, it wasn't for long. Not sure what will get done today, as its so dark out. First thing after getting off here, I need to take the ribs out for dinner, oh dear will be froze, shouldn't take too long to thaw. I can find lots of things to do, so I will stay busy. Yesterday we were outside for about 5 hours, Ray used the lawnmower to put the leaves in big piles then he plowed them with the guad to where we have put them for years. I did use the blower to keep them together, most of the work was done with equipment, but I'm still somewhat sore. We have lots of leaves that comes from the fence row, not our trees and of course a west wind brings them in our yard. We lit the wood in the firepit and roasted hotdogs, after eating them we roasted some marshmallows, it pays to be a little crazy. It was a fun day.
Leroy, Good news on standing, I hope it goes good for you. Take care. Baby steps.
Carolyn, Always good to get things ready for winter, you are right. We need to have our furnace checked out.
Jan, I'm sure your hands hurt, I have done major chopping and know how it effects me. Good news on the sewing machine going to DGD instead of a stranger.
Lair, I haven't been on my email in over a month, I wonder how many emails I will have, best to do that today as I pay the cable bill on line. I'm really tired of all the commericals, now it will be for Medicare plus.
Mary Safe travels home. Hope it doesn't rain all the way home.
Connie, Sorry about DGD not making it but after being busy, you knew what you were having for supper.
Guess I better get the ribs out and change some clocks. Have a wonderful Sunday

Good morning everyone. Leroy, 35*, going up to 43* later. Supposed to be sunny but hard to tell. Looks like a typical November day out there, grey and foggy. Good luck with your leg. Do you try wearing it every day? Carol, I too, wish they’d keep to one time or the other, don’t really care which one. Just so we don’t have to change our clocks, we have 7 to change. Roasted hotdogs and marshmallows, yum, good memories of when we used to go camping. Don’t really know who will take the sewing stuff but they are all crafty. But being young, they are very busy in their lives. Not much going on here. Will sort through the sewing things, do dish washer. Won’t have my nose in a book all day, there’s other things I have to go through too. May not be here early tomorrow, we both have dentist appointments first thing, then will get a few groceries, pick up meds. Bbl. Jan

Good Morning, I am scratching my head looking at the Saturday when my Sunday shows are on. Just one day off so no big deal. We all have our things to deal with. I slept good last night but when I woke this morning it felt cold in the house. I was thinking It must be me feeling cold. Checked the thermostat and sur enough, I was right because it was just in the upper 50's. I turned up the heat and nothing Sunday. It took 2 hours but the guy came and lit the furnace and warmed up the house a little. He then decided to clean the burners while he was here. That is when he gave me the bad news that my furnace has 3 cracks in the burners. He (by law) had to shut off the gas and electricity to the furnace. He gave me the numbers of 2 dealers that would be able to put in a new furnace in the next few weeks. I have calls in to both of them on their answering machines. I am guessing tomorrow will be a busy day picking out a new furnace and then trying to find the money to pay for it. Some days there is no such thing as good luck. Well, at least it isn't all that cold out this week and Charlene brought me a electric heater and the one furnace I called brought me 3 heaters. This all sounds like a good month for my electric company's income. Oh well, I have an egg bake in the oven I need to check. You all have a good day.

Back again. Just finished sorting through all the sewing and crafts stuff. Thought I’d feel sad, but, no, I really enjoyed it. Found a lot of things I’d forgotten I had. Two big boxes down to maybe half a box, if that. A job well done! Will let DD1 go through the threads etc to see if she wants anything. The others seem to always get to pick thru first. She and DH are in Belize right now, oh, the pictures. Frost on the roofs here this morning, hope they don’t come back to snow. What a shock that would be. Gotta go, see about lunch. Jan Hi Lair, I’m so sorry to hear about your heating problems. At this time of year, no less. Sure hope they can come sooner than later, although it’s good that you’ve been given some heaters. Take care my friend. Jan

Checking in. We won't be going home until tomorrow morning. Brylie has volleyball practice tonight.
Bryan and Julie helped us fill out the legal papers for benefits we are apparently getting from Valerie. Bryan has to get a death certificate from Dan.
I brought a smaller peace lily plant down for Julie, but she already has the big one from her neighbors. I thought that's what I had, but I guess not. Good thing because the big one at home isn't doing well at all. It got overwatered some where before I got it. We decided to give this smaller peace lily to Kara, and I'm gonna take the one with the 6 different plants in it back home with me. I'm gonna repot those 6 as they are so crowded. It's the plant I was asking if anyone knew what some of them were.
We also got the card written to Tori's Angels, and put all the checks inside that were written out to them along with our own. They'll be getting $1,295.
Nothing exciting going on here.
Lair, I'm so sorry this happened, but at least you're still alive (carbon monoxide) and it's not -20°. Maybe your recent breathing issue had something to do with the furnace.
Well, everyone take care.

I changed the time on a lot of clocks yesterday...remember, I am the one that LIKES CLOCKS! Have a large one on the wall that I did not change simply because I was tired and that one is hard to get down and back up.
DH went out and mowed the leaf piles I raked up yesterday and put them in the big garbage can. I need to grab it and dump some annual pots.
We are going to DS's tonight for supper...I am taking a rum cake and extra sauce, crackers and crab salad snacker, & I think I will whip what cream I have for the cake too...I think it will be very dry since when I came in to get on the computer, it had 19 minutes left to bake & since the football game was on tv & very loud, I did not hear the timer...Oh Dear...I hope it is edible!
DH woke me early today for church...5:19...Grrrr! I stayed in bed until the usual 6:30. No coffee after at church today as they have taken things out of the kitchen and lots stacked in the middle of the gym....the contractors were supposed to have started last week....hope it goes quickly. The social time after church with coffee & rolls will be missed!
Lair, your sister and the furnace people were great to bring you electric heaters to get by until you can get a new furnace. Is there somewhere that you can get some help on the bill for the new furnace? Ask your hospice contacts? Sorry this adds to your burdens.
I went to the rosary for a work friends husband but the first one was a Nocturnal Rosary...perhaps you some of you know what that is. The actual rosary for the public was not until 3 but I got to talk with my friend for a bit before the first one started so she knew I was there etc! I have a Dr visit at the funeral time tomorrow.
I need a nap but I think it is too late.
