Good morning guys. It's going to be a very warm Halloween for the little ones going trick or treating tonight - we're to be in the 70s again this afternoon. Unfortunately it might also be a wet evening. I had a wonderful day yesterday when I went off to the city for the day. Some successful shopping and a beautiful day for a drive. Stayed away from the highways and heading out in the morning I took the ferry to the mainland and then drove along the lakeside - just beautiful. Then in the evening 3 of us joined our friend at her new home in a newish seniors residence for supper. Just a lovely day.

Good morning. 31 overnight, now 33 and high is 39. Combine that with 25 mph winds and sounds like a good day to stay inside.
Yesterday morning I got my dusting done and a few other chores before heading to the library. Once I got home I got on the mower and had to go over the entire yard. Not a ton of leaves but a layer over everything from the oaks dropping their leaves. Just a few left on a couple trees so we’ll see if I need to do any more or not. Maybe the wind will just blow them away. By the time I finished it was well past lunch. After a break I went back out and moved my fence pieces back that runs along the roadside on our property. I then mowed along the road to cut back the plants and get rid of leaves. That was a mess and had to keep mowing across the road until everything was moved to the opposite side. Once back in I did some baking and got the vacuuming done.
Typing messing up so better post.
Damn thats annoying! If I don’t post quick the page resets and I loose all my typing.
Anyway! Not sure what I am doing today but I will figure it out. Dh may or may not be home tonight. Dd is at school then will be at work until 5 then boyfriends until 7. I need to entertain myself!😂
Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone. It is 49º and that is the high for the day. The temps will drop and it will be in the mid 30s tonight when the kids are out trick or treating. A 35-40 MPH wind makes it feel about 10 degrees colder than it is. I wish for the kids sake that our warm weather could have hung on at least 1 more day.
Yesterday was a Phyllis day combined with taking Curt to the neighboring town to have his toenails cut. DSis and DBIL came for coffee and then I took Curt to Dollar General and I picked up a list of groceries for Lair. While we were on that trip is when it decided to pour rain. I'm not complaining about the rain, but I got soaked carrying the groceries to the car and into Lair's house and then I was cold the rest of the night.
Today is another Phyllis day. I wish I had nothing going on and could just stay in the house all day. I could see it being a pajama day, but since that's not possible, I'd better get dressed and get on with my day.
Gayle...When they discharged Lair from the hospital, they put him on hospice. He has been on oxygen for years. The alveoli in his lungs have lost their elasticity and longer exhale cardon dioxide from his lungs. That makes the carbon dioxide build up in his lungs and cause all kinds of problems including pneumonia, excess fluid, UTI, and makes his heart work harder. They've tried numerous antibiotics to clear up the UTI but none are working. They are afraid of the kidneys failing and him going septic if they can't get that cleared up.
Wishing everyone a good Thursday and a Happy Halloween. Charlene

Melissa...that's got to be frustrating for you trying to post. We had a couple of very windy days with winds from the south. They caused it to warm up and blew all the leaves away....yay! Now the wind has switched directions and making it very cold and blew all of the leaves plus more back into my yard...dang it! Hope you find something to do with your "me" time today. I have no doubt that you will.
I somehow missed the later posts on Tuesday and just read them now. Your garage doors turned out great! Charlene

Chilly out this morning. No rain yesterday despite the weather people saying I would get some. I've picked up the dozens of apples that have fallen due to the wind. Later today I'm attending a funeral for a friend's mother. My brother will meet me at the church. She was 104 and still quite sharp. Early evening I will turn on my porch light for the neighbor's six children to come trick or treating. After they leave, the porch light will be turned off. Tasty, glad you had a good day shopping yesterday. Melissa, quite sure you will find a way to entertain yourself. Charlene, I figured you were getting rain when I saw the radar. Happy Halloween everyone. Marlene

Melissa, I forgot to say ho0w nice your garage looks. Like the color combination.
Charlene, glad you got some rain. We got a few sprinkles.
Marlene, I don't turn my light on anymore. There are no kids in the neighborhood except a baby and a little girl.
Hi, Mary in Kentucky. I read everyday, but I am on on Midwest, so don't post here too often.
Hi to everyone else.

Good morning, what's left of it. I've gotten sidetracked as usual, this time in part by looking for pumpkin carving tools. I know I had a kit but don't know what I did with it and DGS wants to carve a pumpkin. He'll just have to do it the old fashioned way. It's late to be carving one anyway.
Charlene, you definitely need a pajama day. I've had too many of those lately but isn't that what being retired is all about? Today I do need to decide what I'm going to make for the bake sale at church Saturday, or perhaps I'll decide to skip it all together. They won't make much on my little contribution so I can just put a little extra in the offering sometime. It all goes to the same place anyway, to help build up the account after paying for a lot of necessary repairs lately.

Good morning, its 43° and raining headed to highs around 50°. Our forecast indicates steady rain for trick-or-treaters this evening. Living by a busy street we haven’t seen trick-or-treaters for years.
Shopping wasn’t on my plans for today however, it looks like I will be looking for a new fridge. Checking this morning I found a little more water on the floor under the fridge. As my fridge is over 14 years old it doesn’t pay to try and have it fixed.
Leslie, I often get sidetracked and with our time difference by the time I get here most of you are well into the afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.

Good afternoon! It's been a busy morning so I am just now getting here. The streaming here continues to confound me. It must be nice to be able to get away with providing such a crappy product and expecting top dollar payment. DSon and I are definitely going to discuss our television viewing options. Once again, I was watching something in the DVR around 12:30 last night and it went out. Both of those seem to be common themes for some reason. The timing and the DVR. I sent a letter to the cable company and would love to hear from them about a serious fix to this mess. The same thing happened a little later on in the night when I was trying to sleep - after DH called me to come take care of his bleeding (4am) I'm not sure why his old scabs from his fall weeks ago were bleeding, but I had a mess to clean up. Getting back to sleep was not easy knowing I had to be up again at 7:00 for his morning anxiety pill. He's been extra demanding today. Because, of course, he is. It's the day before the kids get here and I have things to do. I'm already scaling back on my list of stuff that needs done. We got meals delivered today from the AOA. I didn't meet the driver because I must have been running the vacuum cleaner when she was here. I went to open the door so she could see we were home and the boxes were already on the porch. Good thing I looked. It was a little bit inconvenient considering what I have yet to do, but DSiSIL#1 called to see if we were going to be home. They wanted to stop by with their grandkids in their costumes and visit with us. They weren't here a long time and we enjoyed the visit, so I'm glad they came. That brother is really conscientious about DH and I appreciate him a lot. I still need to go to the grocery store and pharmacy, but I also need a nap. Good thing I don't have to think about supper tonight! Those meals are going to come in handy. Wishing everyone a HAPPY HALLOWEEN in case I don't make it back! Our weather is expected to be warm and windy tonight. I'm thinking the rain will miss us. Hope so, anyway. Guess I better go lay down if I think I will nap today. I still have an afternoon pill to give DH at 3:00, so the nap won't be long.

Happy Halloween.
The temperature is currently 81° and it is sunny. Ethel and I have both been busy today. I feel guilty if she works and I don't. hahaha
I think this will be a make stuff for the freezer weekend. Going shopping tomorrow so I can stock up on supplies.
Have a good day.

Good afternoon & Happy Halloween.
It's been sunny& reached the 80s today. We are also breezy. Leaves are falling like rain & I have a yard full. I have my GH doors open on both ends to let the air through.
I tried to vacuum today but pushing the vacuum didn't work too well wit this sore arm. So I see a problem blowing or raking leaves. I'm not sure about mowing them. I may try tomorrow.
Today was my last day of work, at least for a while. The mngr told me nobody has been in to take care of Driveline's projects. Not much I can do about that, other than let my DM know;which I've done. As the saying goes, not my circus.
Karen, could DH be scratching at the scabs? The streaming sometimes messes up on the TV Mike just bought me. But I'm pretty sure that is because of my slow internet. I found out if I unplug the TV for awhile, it works fine when I plug it back in.
Charlene, I wasn't aware Lair was having all those issues. I hope he improves.
Signing off for now.

Good evening. I has been a busy day. I took today off and an off Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Today was like early September, not the first of November. We hit 79° and it was sunny most of the day. We have a high wind advisory for tonight into tomorrow morning but don't think we will get it her. I was busy most of the morning here in the house. Had some things that needed to get done on the computer. Then I went to the shop, did some watering and went through the cuttings I had done before I started moving into the shop. Unfortunately tossed more that I had hope to have to do but do have some nice plants started that I will end up taking cutting off from mid winter as they should be big enough to make new plants plus hopefully be nice full plants again themselves by planting time. Last night when I got home from work had a fellow come look at the new heater in the shop. Not sure if a part was missing from shipping or if DSOiL did something with it but that was the cause of it not working. Not going to worry about the cause of the problem only that I now have heat in the shop. I got most things put back where they belong so I can get to things now and did some watering. Afternoon I knew I had to get the leaves from the drive that I had blown up into a pick pile in case we get winds tonight or I would have to do it all over again. Loaded 7 trailer loads and hauled them away. Got all of the plants that I left in the greenhouse. Most I just dumped but has a couple of trays that went to the shop and hope I can revive them.
I am whipped. I don't think there is an inch of my body that doesn't hurt. Alice was nice and just finished cleaning the entire main house from everything I tracked in today.
Have an enjoyable evening. It is time for food and bed.
