Good morning, It is windy out. I have had breakfast and coffee. It is not really that cold today and the skies are blue as blue can be. I put some beans in the crockpot for later. Going to have some turnip greens too. Hope my DD will get back over here this weekend. She wants me to go home with her for Thanksgiving. I told her I would if I am up to it. You all take care.

Good morning everyone. Leroy, hope all goes well at PT today. Adam must be feeling better. Carolyn, would be nice for you if your DD comes this weekend. Hope you feel well enough to go home with her for Thanksgiving . Not much going on here. Finished up the laundry yesterday. DH made a big frittata for supper last night. Enough for me to finish up tonight. He’ll have a comfort food from his childhood, rice tea and salted fish. Not for me, ugh. My girls love that too. Must be in their genes. Have some things for hospice thrift. May take that over later or wait for another day. Nice and sunny out, temperature is at freezing, 32*, going up to 50*. Bbl. Jan

Hi to everyone.
Well I heard wrong because of my lousy hearing! Mollyand Ryan are not leaving today for Scotland. They leave next Tuesday. Found out that what was moved up was their closing day on the house , not their trip. So they have a week to get settled in! She will be all settled, you can bet on that as they are minamalists.
It is windy and the leaves are coming down fast. What is left of them. Dave sure has been doing a great job of cleaning them up twice a week.
I am still having symptoms of a head cold and it has been about 5 days now..I sure am tired of the tinnitus sounds in my right ear. Caused by congestion.lots of drainage in my throat. Oh well, there are much worse things!
So glad, Lair, that the vertigo did not last long for you.
Jan, so your hubby liked what I wrote about naming cars. Well he is only about 10, 11 years behind me so he no doubt can relate to.my stuff. Lol. Wish that I could go on those rides with you two. In my opinion you live in the most beautiful area on this continent and this from someone who has been around!
We traveled so much! All over these states and provinces.Started when we were 48 years old and stopped in our 90's .Larry was a letter carrier for 42 years and he got 5 weeks vacation every year.we were given a tiny slip in camper by my brother, and with a pick up truck to slide it into we were off.
There are only 4 states that we visited only once. Delaware for one and La.Al.Ms. once was enough! The Sierras, Rockies, Blue Ridge, Smokies, Appalachians, the Brooks range in Alaska, Hawaii, the Gaspe pennininsula,I love them all so much but British Columbia where you live, is my favorite for beauty!you are so lucky to live there. The Canadian Rockies have it all.
Anne and her husband are meeting right now with a special surgeon in the Detroit area. I hope that he can save Dennis's right leg. This summer he had two toes removed. Also deep vein surgery so incision from foot to groin area. This Dr. Agreed to see them and called them personally on Fri and set up this appointment for noon today.
Well all for now. Everyone, get well, stay well. Mary in Michigan.

Good morning, still. MaryinM, yes he enjoys hearing, talk about ‘the old days’, and I love hearing his stories. A very different upbringing from me. Although he was born and raised here in BC, his parents were from Japan. I think our part of the country is beautiful, but then I think every area has its beauty. Bet has sure been posting some nice ones of her area. Nice that Molly doesn’t have to leave for a week, gives her a bit of breathing space. Wish I was going with her, that’s my ancestry. My mother was born in Scotland. Ok, back to tidying up the kitchen. Jan

Good afternoon. I am late today because I have had nurses from hospice all morning. It is sunny and 80 degrees out there now. Cooler tonight and by Thursday we could be getting snow flurries. Hard to believe it will cool off that much so quick. It has been so nice it is hard to believe it is November 1 this week. I had a couple talks with the nurse this morning and I didn't hear anything I wanted to hear. Sounds like my days of easy life are behind me. We have gone through almost every drug available for my symptoms. Things could get better but no one knows for sure. It is starting to cloud over so the guessers may be right, light rain this evening and then showers all day tomorrow. We need the rain but I could wait on the cold weather for a while longer. Well, I have a bag of drugs I need to put in my pill holders this afternoon. Mary Bewatcher, I did a post on Monday I think. Thanks again for the U tube video. It really helped me and I am not using the walker today. Thanks again. Everyone have a nice day and enjoy whatever you are doing.

Lair, I’m so sorry to read that your health problems are going in the wrong direction. You do sound so discouraged. Please know that we all care about you a lot, and we are here to lend an ear anytime you want to unload. Take care my friend, Jan

Checking in. I went to my eye dr. appt. this morning and my eyes are still doing good since I started the eye drops for the pressure. I now get to go clear out to April for my 6 month appt. This will be my regular yearly eye exam.
After I got done there I headed to Decorah to meet my girlfriend at 11:30 for dinner. It was about 1 when I got back into my car. From there I headed to Walmart. I haven't been in Walmart by myself in probably 6 months or more. I strolled casually through the aisles. I wanted to get peanuts in the shell for my blue jays but they didn't have any. I looked for some Christmas colored threads or yarns; nope, they had none. I also saw they didn't have any yarn to match what I'm using for this cocoon project. I could use just solid gray to do the boarders if need be. As I was strolling the aisles I saw my niece and her husband. We talked for a long time. I don't know if she's coming to the funeral tomorrow. Yes, I have another funeral tomorrow for my cousin's wife who's being buried from the same church I was at on Oct. 14. (cemetery where my parents are buried) Sherri said my sister Ann was going to be bringing along my sister, Bobbi. This brings the count of funerals for people I know up to 8 for the month of Oct. I actually made it to 5 of the 8.
I measured my crochet project last night, and I only have about 20 more rows to do to get the 45"x45" body. Then I get to sew up the seams for the sleeves and then put the cuffs and boarder on.
Lair, I'm so glad that video helped you. Vertigo is NOT FUN. I remember my first time many years ago. I couldn't close my eyes because it made me sick, but having my eyes open had the room turning. Way worse than a bad drunk! Since I now know it comes from my neck, I do try to crack my own neck if I can. I've done that successfully a few times.
Well, a crochet hook is calling me. I'm down from 15 balls of yarn to 6.

The wind hit today and the leaves came to our yard. Usually the wind is north and brings us oak tree leaves...we are like a wind tunnel here!
VA seemed long today. I was tired and really did not want to be there but I made my 5 1/2 hours. Will do the same tomorrow!
Lair, sorry the meds are not doing it for you. What do they recommend now? Has to make life harder,,,pray for you!
MaryinMichigan, good news for Molly to have longer before the trip. Also good news that the doctor will do the surgery for Dennis and pray it all goes well!
Hello to everyone else. Have a good night!

Mary! So many funerals for you. Oh my goodness think of you so many times through out the day. Is Jerry doing ok? I mostly get sad in the evenings, missing Judy. But she isn't suffering any more and that sure helps.

MaryinMi, We're doing ok. We've both had moments that have stopped us in our tracks. In those moments, we just have to take a deep breath, shed a tear, mentally process it, and then figure out how to move on. I mentally talk to Valerie numerous times a day, and I've started to say good night to her. I've had 2 or 3 times in the past week where I've seen a lone bald eagle fly across the road very close in front of me. I'm beginning to wonder if this is Valerie's sign. I've started to say, "Hi Valerie!", when I see them. I guess time will tell.
