Good morning! It's a rainy Monday and cool out there! Going to exercise class at 7:45 so I have to watch the clock. Last night's whole wheat pappardelle pasta that I ordered from the restaurant was delicious with the sausage and meatball sauce. Not at all sure what dinner will be tonight. The floor repair guy is supposed to come today to replace the boards that got gouged when they moved in the appliances. Back later! Enjoy your morning!

Good morning friends. The sky is just lightening up and it appears to be cloudless. It almost feels chilly this morning and I just checked the weather - yep, it's chilly, only 50 F at 7am. It might get to 60 if we're lucky this afternoon. Not too much planned for today - some shopping for tomorrow's canning session is a must. Probably some baking - we have a thanksgiving sale on Saturday. (Canadian Thanksgiving is next Monday). At the moment, I'm thinking it might be BLTs for supper tonight - there's a dish of tomatoes I bought at the market yesterday sitting on the counter and they said that they may not have enough for the market next weekend so quite possibly the end of another season. Have a lovely day.

Good morning friends.
I slept in this morning.
Ann- Sounds like another great meal at the Baldwin! I hope the floor gets taken care of today.
Tasty- We are currently getting some rain. I think it may clear up later but not sure. Sometimes the Mountain will hold the rain in.
Bet- Another nice picture of your region! So pretty.
Elza- I am thinking of Lori and her DH too. Praying they stay safe.
I will be working the rest of the week. Criminal Justice class.
Today is recycling and some sewing!

Good Morning ! We got home yesterday evening so both of us slept in. We had a very nice time. There was about 14 of my classmates that showed up. Most were band kids, so I knew them pretty well. On Saturday we met my 2 SIL and 1 BIL for breakfast. They went back home, we went back to the hotel, then headed over about 3:00 to pick up 1 SIL, then over to the others house to visit awhile. Then we drove about 40 minutes south to a tiny town with a great steakhouse. It is a new place that we had never eaten at. DH and I shared the 16 oz rib eye. It tasted like it was grilled over a wood fire, it was excellent meat and very good. I had a salad and garlic mashed potatoes with mine. He had salad and a loaded baked potato. On Sunday we got away at 8:15 and stopped in Dallas for lunch at my favorite Mexican place. I really enjoyed that. Then we arrived home at 5. I have laundry and grocery shopping on the agenda.
I am also praying for Lori and Florida.
That is a lovely photo Bet.
Ann, sorry the floors were damaged. I hope that goes well and quick today.
Tasty, will you be cooking a thanksgiving dinner?
Chris, glad to read you did well at the craft show. Happy sewing!
Elza, sounds like things are moving right along for you. Happy you were able to rescue your treasures.
It will be in the low 90's today, and for about the next 10 days. A slight chance of rain a week from tomorrow.
Waving to all. Have a super day!

Good morning. Wow, I slept in until 6:45 this morning. I could get used to this. It's nice this morning but not so nice again this afternoon. Two more weeks of nasty heat. Last year at this time I had doors and windows open most of the day and night and even sat outside. October sure isn't what it used to be down here.
Getting my nails done this morning. I had the lady write the time and date on a card as my proof. hehehe In fact I'll be more early than usual. I never like anyone waiting for me. I'm way behind on dusting so I need to see if I can't get that done today. I'm good at getting the floors cleaned but dusting has become a challenge. Or I just don't care anymore. I really think it's just laziness.
Not much else from down here. Have a nice Monday everyone.

Good morning. I was sure hoping we would hear something from Lori. Now, with this hurricane coming makes it extra hard us not hearing anything.
Ann- I like quail but I've only had it a few times. Dh didn't hunt them. I hope they are doing your floor . I am lazy today, only walked one block and didn't go to swimming.
Bet- another nice view.
Tasty- BLTs sound good, I think I will put them in my menu this week.
Chris- so will you be working full or half days?
Tammy- glad you had a good time. Your meals sound good also. I love a good steak and I love Mexican food. Chile relleno being my favorite.
Mamma- you and me both slept in. After our walk we sat outside for awhile.. I will also be glad when this heat ends.I see it's suppose to be 111• again today. ick.

Welcome back, Tammy! Every time we go by your favorite restaurant I think of you. I've eaten there and liked it, too. I wish our Thanksgiving would be as early as yours, Tasty. A bit more time between holidays would be better, I think. Hope you got your haircut this time, mamma. So disappointing when you expected it but it doesn't happen. I'm having a tuna casserole for supper since it's pretty easy and I enjoy it. Good wishes to all.

I sent a quick text to Lori, just to let her know we are all thinking of her during this time. She responded: Dear Tammy and Food Friends--thank you for your prayers. it has been a slower process than we would have liked, but I am slowly improving and getting some strength back. Now we are dealing with our 2nd hurricane in less than 2 weeks. Our home is hurricane ready so our plans are to ride this out at home. Thank you again for thinking of me. Miss each and every one of you.

Thanks Tammy for reaching out to Lori! Good to know she is improving even if it is slower than she would like. If you see this Lori, know we all await your return - you are missed. I may do a small thanksgiving meal for hubby and I sometime over the weekend Tammy. We are getting together with friends on Monday - I think there will be 8 of us. It will be in one of the other buildings in this complex so no driving required. Hope your floors were done today Ann. Enjoy your week Chris. Did you manage much sewing today? Great pictures Bet. I would not like to have your temperatures mamma. I'm not a heat lover! We did have the BLTs tonight Elaine and they were so good. Iha e to agree Helen, I like a little bit of time between the holidays. My whole day has been spent on the canning group - from making granola to shopping to trouble shooting on our debit machines. It was a loooong day!
