It is 50°here this morning and to go into the 60's then into the 30's tonight. Yesterday was a long day I left before 8 and never got home until 6:30. Only a little over an hour of that was driving but wasted half an hour waiting for the store to open. That was my fault. I can't tell the difference between and 8 and a 9. When I got home I spent over an hour doing some cheat sheets for the job hoping that will speed things up as I have to do this same job 5 more times this coming week. Today will include a lot of driving. I need to get all my house plants inside when I get home so may be doing that in the dark. I need to get the greenhouse shut up and some heat in there until I get can get at least everything out of there but the geraniums tomorrow. We could have a frost next week. I have never had my greenhouse up this late but glad I do as not time right now to get the rest of the plants into the shop. That will take a day of moving but won't happen until next weekend.
Chris, good luck with the show today.
Elza, good luck on the move today. Sounds like you have a long road ahead of you before you will be back home. Here you could wait forever just to find a contractor that isn't booked months in advance.
I do wish we would hear from Lori.
Tammy, hope you are having a good time.
Need to run and get this day started.
Have a great day.
Bet

Good morning, all! It's mostly cloudy now, but the afternoon should be sunny. The view from the 4th floor lobby window over the Londonderry hills is becoming very colorful. The full color is in the White mountains north of us. The Baldwin celebration was very enjoyable. We did not partake in all of the food and beverage offerings, but did enjoy some corn on the cob and a grilled turkey sausage with peppers and onions. There was live music, food trucks, a corn hole game, beer, wine, cider offerings, and just a great, friendly atmosphere. At supper time we had the broccoli/brussie sprout slaw. Instead of apple, I used a nectarine. I dressed it with some raspberry/chipotle sauce and a touch of horseradish sour cream. I was going to have it with pita, but when I thawed it, I saw that there was mold on it...out it went. I served it with a scoop of Ready Pasta by Barilla. That's a great item to have in the pantry! Today, other neighbors from Lawrence are joining us for lunch. Will have soup for supper. Will do a tad of housekeeping today...sheets & towels, general straightening, etc. Hope you have a grand day! Waving!

Good morning friends. The sun is just appearing in the east, looks like it will be another nice day for us. We had a couple of hours of rain around suppertime yesterday but that seems to have cleared out nicely. The colours are late coming this year, the trees are just starting to change. The house we bought here 21 years ago has the nicest maple in the front yard and even tho we moved from there a long time ago, I make a point of walking or driving by it every fall because it is so beautiful. It's only a 5 minute walk from where we are now and when I was past it earlier this week, it was still 98% green. I have no market this weekend to prepare for but instead our group will be going en masse to a 90th anniversary celebration of our hospital auxiliary, of which we are part. That is a lunch tomorrow. Hope you have a good sales day, Chris. Those are long days you are doing Bet. Don't think I could handle that these days - certainly wouldn't want to. Nice that you can keep in touch with the old neighbours Ann, and feed the well with no work! Glad to see you have somewhere to live in the area Elza. Seems like the insurance company is working with you.

Good morning.
Not a lot going on here today but tomorrow is going to be very busy. I have appointments for a CT scan and an MRI that are spaced out far enough that it looks like I have just enough time to visit the Verizon store and have them install my SIM card into my refurbished cell phone. I promised Troy lunch in there somewhere but it's got to be a place where I can either get a milkshake or a smoothie!
On Tuesday, my neighbor is taking me along with her mother to be fit for new glasses. It'll be good to be able to read fine print again!
Thankfully, rest of the week looks rather calm.
Elza, it sounds so your insurance company is moving pretty well. I can't imagine being out of your house that long though. Hope all goes smoothly.
Bet,. I don't know how you do it. At least you will have some pretty leaves to drive through this week.
Chris, best wishes for this craft show. Hope you sell a lot.
I, too, and missing Lori. Hope things are going smoothly for her.

Good morning.
Out and back and the golf cart is on the charger. I decided that I was worth the extra money so I'm having my nails done again. Neither Tammi or Cyndi are there right now so I don't know who I'll have. But whomever she will be informed how i want them done. I'll be making my next appointment while there too. The snowbirds fill these places during the winter. And I do the same with the groomer. Mandy has all her appointments set right through May. I've even stocked up on toilet paper, kleenex and coffee. One they all are here the stores can't keep up with the demand.
Best of luck at the craft sale today, Chris.
Bet, another lovely picture. Thanks. I'm anxious to get my house plants outside and you are bringing your inside. hehehe I love plants but really don't have room inside for many like I had in MN. It's nice to be able to get them outside and out of my way so to speak.
I too am really missing Lori. Here's one for you Lori...... Today is National Apple Betty day. Just thought I would cover for you today. :)
Happy Saturday to all.

Good morning. I walked 2 dogs this morning so I decided not to go to swim. I feel bad as Marion will do the class by herself ( it's a tape we listen to).
I am going to Walmart this morning. I want summer sausage, apples, carmel and eggs, lol. Plus I need some cream soups.
Chris- good luck today.
Bet- just remember you need time to yourself.
Birdy-i will be thinking of you tomorrow. 5hat is great they do MRI and CT scans on Sundays. Here, it's only if you are in the hospital and need it.
Ann- it sounds like they had a nice celebration for you.
Tasty- I loved growing my own herbs, but I can't keep a cactus alive here. I do miss the changing of the leaves.
Mamma- you need to shop 8n town during the winter. We don't run out of anything. With you guys only having that one grocery store and one Walmart I can see why you do.
I will be watching football at 6:30 tomorrow morning as the Vikings play the Jets in London.

Elaine, I'm all messed up. I thought this was Sunday! All of my tests are on Monday! The days around here sometimes you're such repetitive that I lose track of what day it is! LOL!

Elaine, I don't go into town in the winter unless it is to the doctor and I have no other choice. Too many people. I would much rather run out or buy ahead and have things delivered.

Sounds like it's been a good day all around. We are happy to be back in Anderson and settled for a while, anyway. The "suite" (it's one big room with a curtain you can draw to partly block off the bed) has a full size refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, as well as real dishes and silverware, a few cooking dishes, and a Keurig. They have breakfast every day in the lobby, and a small gym and laundry facilities as well. So we'll be able to have meals here and I'm glad of that. I know the traffic will not be nearly as noisy here -- however, we are right across the street from the police & fire departments. Hope it stays quiet tonight!
We are still waiting to get the house covered up -- the company that is doing it says they will have to build some kind of structure to put the tarp on, because such a large area of roof is gone. So we're just waiting for them to have a crew become available who can do that. Everybody needs help so we all have to wait.
A small thing that made me very happy -- DH was able to rescue my jewelry box from our bedroom, so I have my engagement ring back, and my mother's pearl earrings, in addition to everything else. Those were the pieces that would have been hardest to lose forever.
I know I'm not replying to everybody but I really enjoy reading every day.
