Morning! It's mostly cloudy and cool this morning! My arm is a bit sore from the vaccinations, but nothing I can't deal with. Supper last night was a bit disappointing. The Sorghum pork turned out to be braised pork belly...fat, fat, and more fat. I trimmed it as best as I could. After the trim, it tasted really good. I Googled 'eating' pork belly fat, and I read that is common to consume it..."Contrary to common belief, pork belly does contain omega-3 fatty acids, albeit in smaller quantities than fish or nuts. These healthy fats are well-known for their anti-inflammatory properties and are beneficial for heart health, brain function, and overall well-being." What say you??? There's a health fair at the Salem senior center so I won't be driving down today. We have a conference call scheduled with our financial advisor later this morning. I think we will go down to dinner tonight to have the beef tenderloin dinner. Have a wonderful day! Waving!

Good morning friends. After a glorious spell of weather, we have a rainy morning today. Should stop by mid-morning but we do need the moisture according to all by gardening friends. I have a hair cut scheduled this morning but other than that, my day is open. Who knows what I'll get up to!!
Have a great day!

That's beautiful, Bet.
Ann, I didn't have any issues with my vaccines this time either. Slightly sore for a couple days and that was it.
Chris, horticulture sounds like it could be fun, and a nice day to be outdoors.
Tasty, isn't it nice to have an open schedule every now and then? Enjoy!
The tree is coming off the house today so DH headed out early to be there in plenty of time. He will be taking lots of pictures and video, both because that's what he does, and also to have for the insurance adjustor. For some reason the thought of it makes me emotional -- like it will be actually seeing the wound after you get hurt. I'm glad it's getting done already, though.

Good morning.
What a loooooonnngg day yesterday. We left at 8 for Mexico and got home around 3:30. We did stop at a Casino for lunch or we would have been home earlier, we were very hungry. I won't give you the book length of the day but suffice it to say i got my glasses, and my dental work is done until spring.
A load of laundry in the washer, and I now have my first cup of coffee. I didn't sleep well last night so I refused to get out of bed until at least 6:30. Hopefully the repairman will come today and fix my stupid fridge. Annie needs to be let loose today and I need to put some things away that are on the craft table. That's all I have planned for the day.
Ann, I would've passed on that meal. The only fat I'll eat is from a fried pork steak.Fried being the operative word.
Chris, I hope your school day goes well for you.
Bet, thanks for sharing such a beautiful picture.
Elza, I know first hand, how emotional it can be to seeing your home destroyed. Prayers of comfort for you.
Time to turn on a fan in here, the hot coffee is making me bead.

Hello All. Yesterday was DD birthday so I spent most of the day with her and then we all went out for dinner. We ate at a Benihana Japanese restaurant. I always forget how much I like Japanese food. It was delicious and plenty of leftovers for supper tonite. The housecleaner is here today so I'm just trying to stay out of her way. After she's done I'll settle down for a movie or nap. Beautiful picture, Bet! Thanks. Elza, I'm glad repairs are underway but will be so hard to see the full extent of damage done. Ann, that's a hard no on the pork belly from me.

From the front of the house, you can see the hole in the roof. From the back you can see into our bedroom and it looks like a tornado hit it. But at least the tree is gone! It was really big. Hoping to meet with the insurance adjuster tomorrow. Our local insurance person called to say we should hear from someone about housing tonight and she has requested that they confirm that with her. Or, as she said, "I will be ringing their bell tomorrow!" Nice to have someone local who is watching out for us.
Another aggravating day of computers working, then not, and repeat. At least we found out that the power is restored at our branch so I'll be back there tomorrow.
We had dinner at one of our favorite local places and I always love their soups. Half a club sandwich and a bowl of tomato basil soup was just right.
