Mamma, did you turn the refrigerator off of did you unplug it. You have to unplug it.
Tammy, enjoy your dinner out with your friends.
I am fighting falling asleep. I have been up since 4 this morning. I never made it outside today. It did make it to 70° but it is still very damp from the rain earlier this week so not really very comfortable out there. The garage and etc. are comfortable at all.
I did get what tomatoes I had peeled to can but need more as I want to make Rotel so hopefully I can pick up some more Monday on the road. I think I did some other things but don't remember. Trying so new recipes for dinner. None that I can use for the Lions but do have some new ideas from watching some videos.
Enjoy your evening.

Y'all, it has been a good day. On our way back to Anderson, a State Farm rep called. He explained how much the allowance was for tree removal, for personal living expenses, etc. He arranged to send an advance for expenses and have it direct deposited to our checking acct. He also said he would have someone contact us from a service that lines up temporary housing.
My sister & DBIL came over from Abbeville to buy gas since nowhere in Abbeville County had any. He is a retired electrician and has worked as a contractor so he & DH were able to get into our bedroom enough to get out my phone and tablet -- both still working! Also got our lockbox, DH's wallet, and his CPAP. That was an unexpected blessing. Then we heard from the tree service we'd used before and liked, and he met us at the house so got that process going. A friend who works at our State Farm office called to check on us as well and see if we had any questions. Shortly after Robert left a message for the temp housing office, our nephew in Greenville texted to ask if we wanted to use his apartment for the next week, since he was leaving on Sunday to be gone for a week. Perfect timing! When the housing rep called, she said that was great and gave her more time to find us a longer term place.
God just answered prayers all day, and I am so grateful. It is still going to be a long hard process but we feel like we made some progress today. I still can't believe it just happened yesterday morning!
Our church still doesn't have power so services tomorrow are cancelled. That means we don't have to be in a hurry to get back before we go to Greenville and get ready for me to go back to work on Monday.
Thanks so much for all the support. I really appreciate it.
