Morning, morning! It's going to be a rainy day...nothing like what is happening in the Gulf. Fingers crossed that all stay safe. Lunch with friends was delicious. We finished the clam chowder for supper. Tonight I think we will go down and have the prime rib dinners. No big plans today. Will set up an account at a local bank here. It's a small bank called St. Mary's Bank. Several of the Baldwin residents have recommended it. Will go to the gym sometime this morning. That's all my news. Back later! Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning friends.
Ann- We are to have rain most all day here. We can use it. I love a good clam chowder! I made a meal last night you would have been proud of. A real Ann thing! LOL I had 4 bone-in pork chops to use up so I browned them in some Caesar Vinergette and put them in a 9x13 pan (squished in) poured some more Caesar dressing on and topped them with a pork stuffing (yep stove top) and sliced apples. Cover with foil and baked for 30 minutes! Was yummy! Dan said I could make them again any time! The chops were so moist. Not dry at all.
We go to Dartmouth today for Dan's testing. He did call yesterday to make sure it wasn't rescheduled again! So was a rough night with no meds and is already a rough morning. We leave in 45 minutes for the almost hour drive up. It will be a long day. While he is in testing I will go do some shopping as I can not be in with him and test 1 is 2 hours and test 2 is 2 hours with an hour in between. Test 1 no meds and test 2 with meds.
See you all later today I hope.

Good morning, Ann and Chris and everybody -- It was a rainy night and now a rainy morning. We are in a Tropical Storm Warning, which feels so crazy up here near the mountains. Mainly just rain/thunderstorms today but the winds will be coming in tonight and very early tomorrow morning, along with the heaviest rain. However, by midday tomorrow it should be moving out. Lots of schools closing or doing e-learning days for Friday.
Since I don't go in till noon on Fridays I am hoping to miss the worst of it on the roads. The art fair my sister & I were planning to visit on Saturday has already been cancelled.
Ann, always nice to have a local bank where you can go and talk to a real person! I'm a fan of that.
Chris, prayers for you and Dan today, that all goes as smoothly as possible.

Good morning. After a couple of cool days, we are to have a warmer nice day with a mix of sun and clouds, temperature in the low 70s. Hubby and I plan on getting some golf in this afternoon. Yesterday we barely saw each other as he was golfing in the morning and our canning group had a couple of events we were involved in yesterday afternoon and evening - both fun times. Chris, hugs to you and Dan as you get thru today. Sounds long and stressful. I've done a similar thing with the pork chops, apples and stuffing. Yummy!! Elza, hope the winds aren't too bad for you as you get soaked by Helene. Stay safe. Ann, I have to agree with Elza on having a local bank where you can deal with a real person, face to face. I'm not a great fan of 'distance' banking altho I do love being able to transfer money/pay bills on-line. Nothing beat the personal touch! Hope everyone stays wzrm a d dry while Helene plays out. Lori - thinking of you - know that you are missed by your friends here. Looking forward to having you back. Waving to all!

Good rainy morning. Just did my 24 report on rain fall and we have had 1.55" of rain in the past 24 hours and it is suppose to continue until about 2 this afternoon. I have been MIA again with work. Have been extremely busy with Monday being another 11 hour day. I am exhausted. In fact so tired I didn't sleep well last night if that make senses. However the good news is I am off for the next 4 days and then next week start again will very only days for 6 days in a row if I can hold up that long. At least it won't be driving 100+ miles a day like this week has been.
I have been reading everyday and keeping up with everyone. Not that I remember a whole lot unfortunately. Not sure what I will be doing today but would like to get a lot of meat and meals packaged up and moved to the basement freezers. Also if it stops raining this afternoon I plan on getting all of the meat I have here in my freezers for the Lions moved to our freezer in at the senior center. I need my freezer space. When I get off here I have a little project I want to do for work. I have a job at a store that isn't mine that is really giving me problems that I need to review the setup and figure how what is wrong with it. Who ever did the original reset I don't think did it correctly and with having just a hour to do the job I haven't figured out the problem.
The next 3 days are to be in the low 70's and sunny so hope to get a lot done outside. I am sure it will be too wet tomorrow morning to do much so plan to start getting the shop cleaned up and set up to move plants and work on the garage to get that ready for winter.
Ann, it is great all the meal entertaining you can do there and not have to cook or clean up the mess. Is the gym right there in the complex?
Chris, thinking of you and Dan today. Hope everything works out that he can proceed with the procedures ASAP. I love my drives to Vermont even though I mainly travel 22A The scenery is changing as all the corn fields are disappearing that I have been watching mature all summer the the vast fields are now lined with huge rolls of hay. However the speed limit is going to kill me. If I don't get a speeding ticket it will be a miracle. I do wish there was another way to get to Fair Haven however without taking route 4. That construction is murder. It is like close o 20 miles that is one lane traffic so it is a constant stop and go.
Elza, hope you don't get the wind they are predicting. Stay safe driving to work.
Tasty, sounds like you have a busy day yesterday but by what you posted the afternoon was fun.
Have a great day.

I have cards this afternoon and again this evening. Its my long day of cards, lots of sitting.
Ann- I'm on my way to eat with you tonight, lol.
Chris- I hope everything goes well for Dan today. Enjoy your shopping. Are there quilt shops there.
Bet- that is one thing I miss about not living up North, the changing of the seasons. Fall is so beautiful.
Tasty- I hope you enjoy your golf game.

We are home. Next testing is not until January Sheesh! Just have no openings until then. The Dr did say that Dan is a good candidate for the DBS. She thinks it will help him a great deal. It was heart breaking to see the progress without meds. I hurt for him. When he was able to take his meds at around 9:30 it was like watching an addict hunt for his drug! 30 minutes later you could tell it was helping. I went in the bathroom and did a it of crying sorry to say.
I wish we could hear from Lori. I am now officially worried about her!

Elaine I would be lost without the 4 seasons. That is lot of sitting for sure today.
Chris, so sorry that Dan has to wait so long for the next step. Does he have mood swings and get discouraged? How far are you from Fair Haven? I guess the construction of 4 is part of the power line they are running on the from Canada to New York City. I know they are laying the cable the length of Champlain. Not sure if it is going down along the locks to Albany they follow the river from there.
I have thought of emailing Lori. I thought by now she might at least be reading but she isn't.

Hang in there all you being affected by Helene. I know from my FL days that the unknown makes the wait excruciating. Elza, it's always surprising to me how far inland these hurricanes can wreck havoc. I know you'll be vigilant. Chris, you are strong but even strong women will be moved to tears. No need to apologize or feel weak from your emotions. Bet, I thought you might be tied up with work after being absent for a couple days. Hope your catch-up at home goes smoothly. Tonite I'm having a meatball sandwich and a big salad for supper. Big hugs to all

No problems with work or travel today -- it's just rainy and breezy. Looks like things will ramp up tonight, though. All area schools are closed or doing "e-learning" tomorrow, including the university where DH teaches, and most of the high schools played their football games last night.
We found out today that the bank will delay opening till 10:00 tomorrow. We were calling business customers to come get their weekend change orders today, just in case. I don't go in till 12 but I told my supervisor that if the roads were bad, I would not try to come in. I am sure there will be some flooded roads and some trees down. I'm hoping that our power stays on but if not we have plenty of bread and peanut butter!

Hello ! I am praying for everyone having to deal with Helene, as well as special healing prayers for Lori.
We are going to a concert tonight. It is the local orchestra and they are putting on a concert at the methodist church. DH is driving the bus. It is only 1 hour long, so we won't be late. Supper will be some pork cutlets that I will bread and fry and have a mock pork tenderloin sandwich.
It actually felt cool this morning when I went outside. I almost could wear a jacket. So refreshing after so many long and very hot months.
Ann, enjoy your dinner. It sounds yummy. We had roast beef at lunch from the Care center, it was so good.
Chris, so glad the testing is over for Dan, for the time being. Don't be ashamed to cry, you are going through alot, and it is healthy to cry.
Elaine, I love pumpkin flavor. I am planning on making banana bread soon, but next on my list is pumpkin bread.
Waving to everyone. Enjoy the evening and sleep well.

I sent a text to Lori to let her know we are all thinking of her, especially during this storm. Here is her reply: "The hurricane is now north of us, pretty much directly across from Tampa. We did get some strong wind gusts but not much rain. I think we will be just fine here, but those north are going to see some extremely dangerous conditions. Taking things slow but hopefully getting a bit stronger each day. Looking forward to getting back to the BB as soon as I can. Tell everyone hello-miss chatting with each of you!"
