Good morning! It's cool and clear this morning. Love this weather! It will stay in the 60s all day! I got a cookbook from TOH to rate and review as part of my "Community Cook" obligations so I spent some time going through it and writing down recipes that I can make. I found one for mini-meatloaves that I made yesterday. We had them with the vegetarian pasta stuffed manicotti with a butternut sauce. (Yum!) I thawed a pound of hamburger so I will freeze the other two loaves. I didn't make the ketchup topping because I don't care for it. Instead, I made a Dijon/Sriracha one. www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/air-fryer-meat-loaf/#RecipeCard The book is called, "What's For Dinner". One recipe that I have already made is in there..."Weeknight Chicken Cordon Bleu". www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/weeknight-chicken-cordon-bleu/print/"Table #3", my friends from the Salem Senior Center are coming for lunch today. The floor repair folks are supposed to be coming today. A maintenance guy will supervise them. Bill will be visiting HR Block today to get taxes from the sale of the house straightened out. Taxachusetts will get its "fair" share!!!! Not sure about dinner tonight. Have a wonderful day!

Good morning. The temp isn't too bad this morning but the afternoon forecast is not so nice. It is what it is. Mandy had no interest in her business this morning so she gets no treat. Staring off into space is not why we go. So that means we have to be out in the heat longer this afternoon while she decides where to go potty. Stupid dog.
Just making some cards today and washing one load of clothes. A quick run through with the dust mop wouldn't hurt though. And I have a small grocery order coming this morning. That's enough for the day I think.

G'Day Mates!
A beautiful rainy day here. Everything needs a drink of Mother Nature. The ducks are out playing in the rain!
Today DH and I have an appointment with a dietician/nutritionist and I am really excited about it. We will be discussing, and hopefully implementing, the MIND diet. As I have said before, menu planning is just not in my wheel house.
This morning I changed vets. We used to see this vet a couple of years ago, but it was just too far to drive to see her. So, we switched to a vet closer. Well, last night I found out that our previous vet now owns and serves right here in town again. She opened her own office/practice. So back to her we go. I almost feel like it is taking Jelly Bean to a preferred pediatrician!! The vet that we have been seeing here is the doctor that, I think, didn't do due diligence for my kitty.
Nothing else going on here. Maybe a stop at the grocery. A load or two of laundry. I am already planning for the trip to North Carolina and "measuring" the stops on the way so that we can make hotel reservations where and when we want them. I think the planning is more fun than the actual tripping.

Good morning. It was a fun morning on my walk. Right outside my door Blue and Kathy were walking. Kathy was limping so I told her I would walk her dog. She was reluctant as no one else has walked him and he tries to go after cats. Well, she let me. We didn't see any cats only a loose Yorkie, that had escaped from her porch.lol. thank goodness Blue didn't do anything,. He is a muscular schnauzer .
Last night's chicken cordon Blue was good and easy. Will definitely make it again. We will eat the left overs at lunch. Tonight, I am making Philly steak sandwiches.
Ann- I know you will enjoy your lunch with your friends. I saw on Facebook your meal last night. It sure looked good.
Mamma- I was out the door by 6 this morning as it is heating up fast.i looked ahead on the weather and it is going to be over 100° at least until the middle of October. I am glad we had last week.
TM- I will have to look up MIND diet. I am glad your previous vet opened a place closer to you. It's stressful enough on the animals going to the vet.
I have swim class in an hour. Samba this afternoon. This evening I should start m5y Bookclub book.

Good Morning ! I overslept a bit so had to rush to get all the food ready to deliver at 10. I was maybe 10 minutes late. They do not serve until 11:30 so really not sure why it has to be there so early.
I did not make the sweet and sour chicken since I got home so late yesterday. It said to cook on low 8 hours, but I had already decided to cook it on high for about 4 hours. We visited so long at lunch then I had to buy groceries. I ended up making salmon patties. We'll eat the chicken dish tomorrow, since I made enough of the hot dish for us to have tonight.
Not sure what I will do with the rest of my day. Laundry is caught up, and house is fairly clean. We'll do a better job later in the week before the pot luck here Friday night. DH is cooking brisket. One gal is bringing homemade bread, one is bring a fruit tray, and one is bringing green beans. I will fill in if we are missing something. Pretty sure at least 2 more couples are coming but they have not said what they are bringing.
Better head to the kitchen and clean up then make lunch for hubby.
Have a super day!!

Hello All. It's a pretty day with blue skies and high 80s this afternoon. That's the forecast for the rest of the week too with low 60s overnight. Supper will be a sheet pan of sliced smoked sausage, sliced zucchini, and sliced onions. I've pan fried each of them many times but never all together on a sheet pan. Nice and caramelized is what I'm looking for. Also, less mess on top of the stove. Sending best wishes to everybody!

My evening plans have gotten easier over the last 24 hours. I thought that my sister-in-law and nephew and maybe some of the kiddos would be here for dinner tonight. Turns out none of them will be here! DSIL is spending the day in Greenville with nephew and they will have dinner there. I will cook some of the chicken bog for us and have more to put in the freezer for another day.
Looks like we will have a wet and windy couple of days with Helene -- chance of storms tonight, better chance tomorrow night, and 100% chance on Thursday and Friday.

No time to get here this morning before canning and I've been on the go since getting home. Not too hectic a morning for a change. I had come across a new-to-me recipe which I baked yesterday and took some of the resulting cake with me this morning. The result was a resounding - you have to make this for our upcoming Thanksgiving sale! I was certainly happy with it - nice and light, and quite a strong spiciness to it. I will post it for anyone interested. Have a good evening.
