Good morning friends. I do not have to go in to work today.

Tasty- I hope you got a good nights sleep.

 I made grilled tomato, bacon and cheese sandwiches for supper last night. Yummy! I got a nice fresh tomato from the local farm stand and it was huge and so flavorful!

Going to have my nails done later today and that is all I have planned for today!

Hope everyone has a great day and that Lori is recovering well being pampered by Dave!

Good morning! It's clear and 47° this morning. Going to be a good weather day. Will be slightly impacted by the smoke from out west.
Yesterday's lunch with friends was fun and delicious. I had a chicken salad plate. One friend had the salmon, and the other had the turkey melt. We asked for coffee and were served cappuccinos! I gave them a tour of the facilities and showed them our apartment.
We cleaned up the stir-fry last night. Not sure what the day will bring. Will go to the gym, and Bill will finish assembling the cabinet.
I made a frittata for our breakfast, and it's ready. Have a great day. Waving!

Good morning.  57 at 6.30 and should gain another 20 during the day - a lovely day!  Nothing too exciting planned for the day other than catching up on laundry and making a few batches of muffins  - some for home and some for the food patch at the fair this weekend.
Birdy, I am so sorry to see that you need surgery on your jaw.  Hope for your sake it can be scheduled soon, be super successful and let you eat what you want rather than 'mush'.  Hope that Lori is progressing well and is able to come back to join us again soon.  Hugs to any and all who need a hug this morning.

Good morning.  It is 48°here a overcast at the moment but to be partly sunny today and in the high 70's.  Tomorrow and Saturday we should see 80°.  I have been up an hour and just got through my emails.  Yesterday I finished up the shopping for Monday night except I think a 1/2 gallon of milk that I will pick up today as I have a coupon for it.

Not quite sure what I might get into today.  I have the another load in the washer and the ones I got washed yesterday in the dryer.  Have one more load to go.  I need to sort the tomatoes and see if there are anymore that need to be done today.  I should make more French Bread.  The 2 loaves I made look terrible.  I think maybe they could have used a bit more flour.  The dough may have been too soft.  I am debating whether I work tomorrow and Saturday and when I should start cooking for Monday.  I may do a couple of local jobs this afternoon.  Decisions Decisions.  Not getting anything done just sitting here.

Chris, nice you don't have to work and can get your nails done today.  If I get to town today I need to buy bread and may do an open face cheese and tomato sandwich with soup for dinner tonight.  I have some of my patio tomatoes that are ripe and they are so good.

Tasty, I understand being busy and also just too tired to post.  It seems to be my problem lately also.  How did canning go Monday?    It is suppose to be beautiful here.  Just perfect weather for a market.

Ann, sounds like you are enjoying being able to entertain friends right on the premises and not needed to go out to do so.

Lori, if you are reading I am thinking of you and wishing for a quick recovery.

Thinking of Lori this morning, and Birdy too -- I know you weren't surprised by the news that surgery was needed, but it's still not something anybody looks forward to. Praying that you can get it done quickly and that it will be completely successful!

Chris, I'm glad you have a day off today. I'm going in an hour later today and enjoying a slower pace this morning. That sandwich sounds amazing!

Ann, sounds like you had a great time with your friends and I bet they did too. 👍for cappuccinos!

Tasty, enjoy that lovely weather. We saw clouds moving in yesterday from Francine and the rain is supposed to get here tonight. Looks like we will get maybe a couple inches of rain over the weekend and some gusty winds, but I am pretty happy with the prospect of a quiet rainy weekend.

Bet, you will find something to get done today, I am sure! I have laundry in the dryer right now so I'll get that hung up/folded in a bit.

Thursday is turning into CORN dinner night at our house and I'm good with that -- it keeps things from piling up. I had some leftover gravy and rice from Monday night so that is in the freezer for the  next time I make soup -- which might be this weekend. It's looking like soup weather.

What a beautiful morning. It was 71º when I got up so Mandy and I walked to the pet area. When we got home I watered the cacti, washed off two sides of the house (my hose wouldn't go any further) and washed the car and golf cart. High today of 104º but that won't last long since the sun sets before 7. Cool mornings for as far as I could check. It will be good for the both of us to be able to walk each morning and possibly the evening jaunt as well. I even have the windows open, well the ones that open anyway.

Today the sheets get changed and tomorrow I'll wash them and hang them on the lines.  Tonight I'll take out some butter and bake cookies in the morning. Yipppppeeeeeee, no more store bought cookies....I hope.

Good morning. It was a beautiful morning. We were up and outside by 4:30. At 8 I walked up and started coffee for coffee hour. The last load of laundry is in the dryer.

Last night we enjoyed supper out with my sister Delores and John. We won't be seeing them today they are looking at a place. Tonight I have cards and I can't cancel as you need 4 people to play.

Prayers continue for Lori and also Birdy.

I am trying another new recipe tonight. This is a pasta pot pie.

Tasty- send some muffins my way. I have 3 left in the freezer.

Chris- that supper sounds yummy. I never thought of grilling. Does the tomato get warm? When I use tomatoes in omelets I saute them in a little butter first. That sounds so good and there is bacon on sale this week.

Ann- we are having chicken salad for lunch as I madevup 3 chicken breasts yesterday.

Bet- so did you decide to work this afternoon?

Elza- I love soup so I will be stopping by this weekend.

It has been a day.  Never left the house today.  3 loads of laundry dried, folded and 2 put away.  The rest of the day has been in the kitchen.  Got 6 more pints of tomatoes canned.  Emptied the dishwasher and refilled it.  It needs to be emptied again and refilled but not tonight.  I got the cooked corn cut of the cob and in the freezer in individual portions.  The bread crumbs for the meatloaves  are made and dried and the onions and garlic are all chopped.  Spent time with lots of emails and trying to get a head count for Monday night.  25 positive and 2 maybe.  Maybe might not get fed.  I also made myself 2 mini banana cream pies and I don't like the silicone pie plates.  You can't pick them up.  Guess I will need to order some new metal ones as the last patch started to rust.

I am tired.  Dinner is Taco Soup that I pulled from the pantry and open face cheese, fresh tomato and onion sandwiches.  First one this year.  Once I eat them and a pie this body is going to be in bed watching TV.

So Chris, what do your nails look like? Cute, I'm sure.

Birdy, sorry that you need more surgery but maybe, just maybe this one will do the trick and you can eat real food again.

I cooked some chicken breasts in the crock pot with taco seasoning and salsa, planned on chicken tostadas for supper. DH is in charge of the men's breakfast at church Saturday so he needs to go shopping tonight and he said something about going out to eat. If we do, I'll just put the chicken in the fridge for another day.

Tomorrow night is Bible study so I do not cook a meal that night. Usually lots of folks bring lots of goodies, so we just graze for supper. Tomorrow I am planning on making cool whip cookies. It is supplies I bought but never used for the ladies brunch. It is a cake mix, 1 egg and 8 oz cool whip. 

We did great at the shop today, - about $510.00.

Elaine- Yes the tomato gets hot when you grill the sandwiches. It is just like a grilled cheese but with the added bacon and tomato!
