Good morning! It was a bit more humid overnight, and today is supposed to be the warmest and most humid of the week. Today, I go to a volunteer luncheon provided by the Salem senior center. It's at a local winery just one exit down the highway. Lunch was great yesterday. As the ladies were leaving, the maintenance guy came and managed to hang half of our pictures. He had to leave, but will be back today. All looks so good. I just set out nibbles last night. Not sure what we will do tonight. We've had a death from EEE in a town just 10 miles 'down the road'. Folks who have dogs are nervous about going out with them. There are a lot of construction puddles nearby. I found my Amazon delivery outside of our door this morning. I bought a warming mat to use at the potluck supper in a few weeks. Of course I didn't save the three I had at the old house!!! So far I've replaced a grater (flat), and an adjustable mandolin. Elaine - Instead of a ham roast, I often buy ham steaks. Our market sells a center cut thick one with a piece of bone in the center. Like Elza, I dice and freeze leftovers to add to pea soup. Birdy - When my mom was in assisted living, I put labels on the dresser drawers. It worked well. She had two so there was lots of room to separate clothes into categories. Bet - I hope you find the right weight oil. I am way past doing work like that. Lori - Sorry your arthritis is giving you fits. Time for yogurt and grape nuts cereal...and coffee!!! Enjoy your day! Hope to chat with everyone later today. Waving!

Just a quick run through and good morning.
We will be headed out shortly for the coast. We plan on being at Rye Harbor State Park and have lunch at Rye Harbor Lobster Pound by noon. We will spend a few hours on the beach and then head back home. I did get a call this morning to sub already, today, the first day of school! LOL I told them I really wanted to go to the beach today. So the other sub is going in.
Ann- Sounds like a good time for lunch. Nice that the pictures are going up and you are happy with it so far.
Hope everyone has a great day. I will with lobstah for lunch!

Chris -- enjoy your lobstah! I haven't had it in so long.
Ann, I was just reading a news story about EEE and how communities are closing parks from dusk to dawn. Sounds like bad stuff -- y'all be careful.
Well, I didn't do either of the things I planned to do last night. Instead of chicken and rice, we had leftover burgers for dinner, and I didn't go to our women's meeting either. So many weren't coming because of sickness, and one who was coming late because her husband had just come home sick -- I just had that gut feeling that I did not need to be there The leader ended up cancelling it and I think that was the right decision. I had a nice quiet evening at home and got some things done that needed doing.
I need to do some things here this morning as well before going to work at 12, mainly go over music for choir practice tonight, as well as some touch-up cleaning.

Good morning. This morning it was a tad more muggy and warm so we took the cart to Mandy's business meeting. That and the fact that I felt lazy. It is going to be another hot day, like 110ยบ.
Groomer this morning and then into WM to find either a new coffee maker or a pot to fit the one I have. I will also check and see if Dawn has time to give me a haircut. That will take care of my morning. I have a load of laundry in the washer so I'll have those items to fold and put away today too. Then this afternoon I hope to make some Christmas cards. The one I made yesterday was time consuming so I only made the one. I can only look down for so long. I am not mailing out more than 5 or 6 cards this year so I won't need many for me. On Sunday I'll be bringing some of my cards to church. Ladies have asked to see them. Maybe I'll sell some too.
Stay cool.

Good morning.
Ann- I'm glad the guy was able to get up some of the pictures and that he'll be back today. Is there anything more they have to do ?
Chris- have fun and enjoy that lunch.
Elza- that was smart for the leader to cancel with so many leaving.
Mamma- I hope you are able to get your hair cut.
I used to freeze ham all the time, but the last time I froze pieces for our scalloped potatoes and ham and also large pieces for sandwiches. We'll, Dh informed me not to freeze it again.lol. so I am trying to come up with creative dishes to use most of it up.

Elaine, I have found that left over ham doesn't taste as good once it has been frozen. That is just my opinion though. Maybe that is what your hubby means too. I too like the ham on the bone better than the ham steaks but for just me a ham steak works best. Or I would be eating ham for a very very long time. LOL We liked cheesy potatoes with ham.

I had to look up that EEE that was mentioned here today. Whoa, that is serious stuff. Mosquitos love me and have always dive bombed me (not love bombed!) first and hardest. Then I get big hives where I've been stung. That is one reason I'm not really fond of the great outdoors. Hope we all can stay safe. Well, I'm wondering whether to have grilled cheese or tuna and noodles for supper tonite. I'll see how I feel after nana nap. Chris, have a wonderful trip to the coast. I do love my lobster! Sweet dreams

It sounds like a good day for those posting. I got to sleep in, then got ready and headed to the shop. I worked awhile, then drove over to the Care kitchen, picked up the leftovers they were getting rid of. I delivered those to church then back to the shop. All but ladies shorts are marked down and placed on sale racks. I'll do the rest tomorrow when I go in at 8.
This week will be in the low 90's so that's nice but they keep upping our chances of rain. On Thursday and Friday it is up to 80%. For Houston anyway, up here in Livingston it may be less. I hope so. We need to have clear weather to do well at the shop.
I skipped lunch but ate a slice of watermelon when I got home.. now to put my feet up.
Supper will be some breakfast food. I have link sausage and may do French toast.
Enjoy your day!
