Good morning! Starting us off this partly sunny morning! It's a little more muggy and warm. AC kicked in several times overnight. We ordered dinner up last night. I had delicious pork tenderloin with demi sauce, mushrooms, and baby potatoes. Bill had the seared scallops with chimichurri, zucchini sauté and baby potatoes. We split a small side salad. We also ordered shrimp cocktail to have with leftover picnic that we will have tonight. No other plans. Enjoying watching 'Everwood' on Freevee so will probably watch a few more episodes today. Lori - Here's the link to the recipe I made that quoted my review in TOH. Didn't use the black olives! www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/cheesy-zucchini-saute/ I had a little leftover and used it in a two-egg fritatta! Elaine - Thanks for posting the picture of the page! Enjoy your day! Waving!

Good Sunday morning. Another pleasant day in store for us with a mix of sun and clouds and the temperature should be about 80 F. My kind of weather. Yesterday I didn't make it here. It was a market day and the weather couldn't have been nicer. It didn't seem busy but we had good sales - always a plus! It was hubby' birthday yesterday so we went out for supper last night - his choice of a restaurant that is walkable. Was so pleasant walking back home, cool and not quite dark yet. I like the way you can 'mix and match' your meals Ann. Gives you a nice mix of eating at home but not necessarily having to cook. We're planning on golfing this afternoon, so may not make it back. Have a great day.

Good morning friends. Egg prices here may have gone up but I have not bought any in a really long time. We have a friend who has chickens and I get my fresh eggs for free. Love fresh! Sorry all! LOL Yesterday got away from me again! LOL I had recycling to do and when I got back I had to get Dan's meds and then we helped get DGD packed and ready to go back to her last year of college today. She will leave this morning. We did a cook out at their house at the end of packing up. She has decided she wants me to teach her to sew. Oh Dear that will be fun! LOL
Ann- Good see you in the magazine! Congrats.
Tasty- Glad you had a good day yesterday and a belated Happy birthday to your DH!

Good morning. And a beautiful morning it is too. The temp is 78º and the dew point is 10. Now that is more to my liking. High today of 104.
Today is the last Sunday of helping with morning coffee at church. Yippppeeeeeeeeee! No more rushing in the morning to get to the church early, no more Marylee, and no more getting home from church so late. I told Lynda if she volunteers for anything again it better not include me, and I will tie her arms to her side and gag her. LOL, Her answer back was that she would help me do so. What was an innocent volunteer for one Sunday ended up being months. I will never do that again.
After church I invited Lynda to come over and go through all my stencils. She can pick how many and whichever ones she wants to keep. I screwed up when I ordered and can't send them back for some reason. Last night I took out some ham to make sandwiches if she would want some lunch. Nothing fancy, just that.
I slept so good last night that I didn't wake up until 6:35. Mandy was more than ready to get moving before mamma's coffee!
Happy Sunday to all.

Good morning. We are warming up again. It was 56°this morning but it is pushing for 80°by the end of day. We did get a little rain early this morning but didn't amount to much. I have finished my usual Sunday morning routine. Run a program on Receipt pal that gives me an additional 45 points then checked all of the weekly ads on line. Got involved on thinking about Lions' dinner as it is time to start watching sales. This week I can get boneless chicken breast for $1.99 a pound so went looking for recipes. Think I will make try a parmesan chicken casserole for October. Have a feeling that will be dinner tonight. Turkey breasts are also on sale for $1.99 a pound this week so Thanksgiving dinner for November. In fact shrimp is also on sale this week so looks like I will be filling up the Lions' freezer this week. Now if only I can come up with a starch for September. I am going to make a few of the potatoes today and see how they heat up tomorrow. I need to be able to do them in advance as they are so time consuming. Now to get beef and pork on sale and I will be looking pretty go for meals. I don't need to make a menu this week as I haven't eaten anything on the menu from last week. The food is even up stairs here in the freezer so no shopping in the basement.
I obviously still have mice. I got up to dirt all over my nice clean carpet that Alice did yesterday. Something I have never had happening but it was digging in one of my hanging plants by my desk and computer. I do plan to go to work for a little bit sometime today. Will make a quick to the town just south of me and try one more time to do the job I couldn't do the other day. I will sit there until I have enough service to complete it and they will pay me for the time I waste sitting. Maybe that will get my point to them that we don't always have cell service. It is nice out but I really need to get my house put back together. It is driving me nuts. I have a stack of papers to go through and take care of that have been sitting here for ever. I would really like to get my Areo Garden going again. I miss my fresh basil. Ann, I love pork tenderloin. I make it several different ways. Have a nice picnic this evening. Will you eat on the patio?
Tasty, glad the market did well yesterday. It is nice to have restaurants in walking distance. Enjoy the golfing today.
Chris, where did summer go? The kids are headed back to school. I know it is time but hate the way time is flying by. Have fun teaching DGD how to sew.
Jan, we warned you not to overdue yesterday. Now be sure you take it easy today.
Have a great day.

Good morning, all. Not much to report today. On the weekends we get different people and often very different schedules. Heaven knows what my lunch is going to look like.
The weather is lovely today. I hope to be able to sit out side for a little while and get some fresh air.
It's going to be interesting to see where my application goes for Medicaid. I'm getting really sick of this whole thing. I am looking forward to not having to hunt up anymore documents!
The price of eggs has gone up because of the bird flu. They have had to euthanize so many chickens because of it. This happens once in awhile. How wide long for some decent scrambled eggs but even though they are easy to eat they still whip them up in a blender. Just not the same believe me.
Have a good day everyone.
Birdy

Good morning. I am having a lazy Sunday just sitting outside as it's beautiful. I decided not to go to church as it's baptism Sunday. I will just watch the sermon online.
Yes, on the news they said eggs would be going up because of bird flu. Yesterday I boiled 7 of them for potato salad. I see where Albertsons has them on sale this week for $2,99.
I am leaning towards one of 2 chicken recioes that I posted on Facebook for supper tonight..
I have samba tonight.

Good afternoon, friends! Today is National Banana Split Day and National Whiskey Sour Day.
Right now, DH is outside tending the lawn. Earlier he cut up some chicken while I cut up some veggies---we decided to make the Honey Glazed Chicken Kabobs that are featured in the TOH magazine I mentioned yesterday. Really not sure if or what we'll have as a side since I added some mushrooms and pineapple chunks; might just have some fresh melon for dessert.
This week, DH isn't excited with the meals offered at school, so he asked to take lunch this week. Needed some bread for sandwiches, so in less than an hour I should have some ready to cool and then slice.
Ann, thanks for sharing your no-knead bread recipe. It does sound good, and I'd love to give it a try, maybe next week.
Bet, hope things run smooth at work today.
Birdy, glad you've got some lovely weather today. I sure hope you'll have the opportunity to sit outside some and enjoy it.
Tasty, a happy belated birthday to Mr. Tasty. Nice that after your busy day with the market that you two were able to get out and celebrate his special day.
Chris, how nice to celebrate DGD's last evening home with a family dinner before she returns for her last year of college.
mamma, so nice that Lynda will be visiting over your place today after church; hope that you both enjoy the time together.
Jan, take it easy, please don't overdo it! Put up your legs and get out your book to read this afternoon. You sure don't want a flare up.
Elaine, let us know what chicken dish you end up making and how you enjoyed it. Years ago, my SIL that lives in Tucson, purchased a cookbook that had something like a years' worth of chicken recipes. It did take her two years because she cooked other meals besides chicken, but she cooked every single recipe in the book. Have fun at cards tonight.
Bread is waiting, so I'll close for now. Waving and wishing each of you a wonderful day! Lori

Thanks for the bread recipe, Ann. Will be trying that for sure!
Tasty, what a nice way to celebrate your DH's birthday. Good to hear you had a successful market.
Chris (or should I say Brisket? LOL Jan!), that is a sweet deal to get all your eggs from your friend!
Mamma, sounds like you will enjoy church a lot more without that particular chore. If you dread it, it's clearly not where you need to be! Hope you have a good afternoon with your friend.
Bet, I hope you can get rid of those mice ASAP. That is something that just gives me the heebee-jeebies.
Birdy, hadn't heard that about the bird flu but it makes sense. Praying that your Medicaid app goes through smoothly and quickly!
Elaine, our church is having baptisms next Sunday, when they will have services and a picnic lunch at a local park on Lake Hartwell.
Well, I won't be celebrating either of those food holidays, Lori, but your chicken kebobs sound good.
Our Sunday lunch (brunch for me) was at McGee's Scots-Irish pub. I love their corned beef hash, topped with over-easy eggs, and a fruit cup on the side. Just what I wanted today.

Hello All. I've been doing a little of this and a little of that so am ready to settle down for some serious computer surfing. Lately, I've been interested in chimpanzee and ape documentaries. Love elephant docs, too, so will look for more of them also. Amazing all. Congratulations, Ann, for your TOH review. I remember loving that magazine so much. Thanks for the indoor picnic mention. Hubby and I would do the indoor picnic often. Our lanai was just a step away so made a great alternative. I have several odds and ends that will make for a nice supper. Dulce de Leche ice cream for dessert. Hope tonite will be better for sleeping, Lori. Hugs to all.
