All 3 but French toast first, waffles and then pancakes with butter and real maple syrup.

I like French Toast better than Pancake & Waffles.
Rarely had waffles growing up but a lot of pancakes. I don't remember much French Toast either. I think my problem with pancakes is I can remember being little, like 3 or 4 & apparently I had asked my Mom to make pancakes or maybe to make a 2nd helping. Anyway, I decided I didn't want them, but my Dad wouldn't let me get up from the table until I ate them. I can remember him saying "No she wanted them, she's going to eat them" Probably more to the story that I don't remember, but I do remember forcing those pancakes down & for a l-o-n-g time after that I wouldn't touch a pancake
No syrup, no jelly on pancakes or waffles, just butter or sometime eggs.. My Dad liked PB on his. I know, sounds weird but better than it sounds. He liked PB on his hot dogs too. Now, that is good.
There is/was? a restaurant in Gatlinburg that makes delicious French Toast with warm Pecan Syrup over them. To die for.

Gayle, I'm the only one is this family that doesn't like PB on the waffles, French toast or pancakes! It was also a favorite of Dh's. I like PB just not on these things.

Gayle, your story reminded me of a visit many many years ago from one of my sisters, her hubby and their grandson. I think the little one was about 3 at the time. They had that same idea if it's on your plate you need to eat it. As I remember an adult dished up the for the little one and I thought there was no way he could eat that much. Several days later we were having dinner and my Brother-in-law had taken more than he could eat and bless his heart ask me if he could be excused. I told him yes and that I would like him to remember I excused him the next time his grandson couldn't eat everything.

Mostly I do waffles or French toast...something about pancakes does not agree with my stomach but I do eat one if that is all that is on the menu. I like butter and syrup (have to use the sugar free).

I used to like all 3 but preferred waffles, and I like them crispy. I now eat none but I do make a pretty good low carb version of both pancakes and waffles that I do eat. Pure maple syrup. Everyone makes syrup where we live. I also try to limit my use of it. 1/2 tsp per waffle. Lol
