Good morning. Just having some coffee before having to get ready to go to my brothers. We will stop at my moms on the way.
Yesterday was uneventful. Did some usual weekend chores, watched hockey and went for a walk. Dh spent a large chunk of the day working on the pathfinder and had to make 2 additional trips to town for tools and parts. He had a stripped bolt that took him hours of fiddling with before it finally came off. Thankfully no time frame on selling or using this car.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.

Good morning everyone. It is 34º and going to mid to upper 40s later, but no sunshine predicted. Yesterday the sun appeared when it wasn't supposed to, so maybe it will again today. A slight chance of rain this evening.
Yesterday afternoon I went to DS & DDIL's house. We played pool (you were right, Leslie) and watched the Iowa girls play basketball. We are all proud of our Iowa's girl basketball team and how good they're doing this year. Caitlin Clark is the star to most, but we all cheer for our hometown girl, Sharon Goodman. She doesn't get to play much mainly because she had to sit out most of her sophomore and junior year at college because of an injury. Since our town is less than 500 people, it's not often we have a local on the big screen. Sharon's Mom died from cancer when Sharon was a senior in high school and she was Sharon's biggest cheerleader. Now she has an entire town and half the midwest cheering for her team and her. Her Dad can't afford to go to her games, but local people pitched in and bought him a huge TV and paid for the streaming channel that basketball airs on so he and her siblings can at least watch the games.
Enough of my rambling, I need to get making food for Easter dinner. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Charlene

Good morning. It's 59 but heading to 84. Yikes. I'm not ready for summer. I'm going to put the seedlings on the porch today and the milkweed that hasn't sprouted in the sun. Maybe the heat and sun will trigger something in them. I didn't get to sleep until around 3 and woke up for a bit around 4 so I'll be dragging today. At least there's nothing I have to do other than usual stuff. My friend and former coworker had invited me to his church for services and breakfast this morning but that would have meant leaving my house before 6:30 and driving in the dark in a rural area to a church I've only been to once. So I'll watch a service on Facebook later. His pastor is the last full-time pastor that was at my now former church and I like him but it's a bit of a drive in unfamiliar territory for me.
Charlene, that was nice of your town to do that for her father. Here everyone, including some diehard Clemson fans, have been cheering our Lady Gamecock basketball team on in the same way Iowa is cheering their girls.
Going to finish my coffee and hope it gives me some energy.

Good morning and happy Easter to you all. Sounds like some big gatherings today for Easter dinner - enjoy them. I'd like to get out for a walk today (we did walk to the restaurant last night rather than driving) but other than that and watching the men curling from Switzerland we have no plans for the day. Yesterday was busy all day long so a quiet day will be quite welcome.

Happy Easter! It's cloudy and a bit chilly here, but that shouldn't last forever. Last night, I sowed the last of my seeds. Five different cosmos are now awaiting germination. I have my fingers crossed that I can get everything I'm growing into flats that will fit on my two tables. If not, I'll have to swipe a light from the table and keep something here in the office on the Little Tikes table I'm using as a potting bench. I got to church in time this morning to greet people at the school entrance where no one else usually goes. I'm very glad I did. I got so much out of being there and welcoming people. I saw a lot of people that I knew from my former church and school as well as some old neighbors. The pastor hit his message out of the park at just the right time since the church was nearly standing room only. I stopped and talked with a fella I know from the retreats and we hoped that more of the folks there today would become regulars. It was the perfect place for me to be this morning. DSon texted a photo of Mac using the binoculars we sent him. He had a smile on his face so I think he liked them. We are set to do a video chat soon. His text helped me set the tone for the day. I can have our meal ready for tonight without any stress now. When we eat is when we will eat. Wishing everyone a super Sunday and a very Happy Easter!

Good afternoon,
We started out sunny & warm @ 61* Now it has clouded over & temp has dropped to 58. Rain will come in tomorrow for 3 days & maybe even a TS.
Melissa, I guess your DH got that bolt out? I still can't get the capped screws out of the porch light fixture. They won't budge. I may see if I can find a "volunteer" to do it.
Leslie, you're not ready for summer? I am. Heck I'd settle for a real Spring. Did your church get a new pastor yet?
I've filled bird feeders & did some more work on smoothing out the ruts in the back yard. I think there as good as they're going to be.
When I went out to the GH it was actually hot in there; from the sun hitting it in the morning (Before it disappeared). I opened the doors to let some air in & it didn't take long for it to cool down . I left them partially open when I got done. First time this year for those being open & I put the hose out yesterday so getting there. I guess I could have opened the windows but I was going in & out the door so that was easier.
I was going to spray my soffit with a bleach spray to see if that would get rid of the dark streaks on it, but oncoming rain nixed that idea. Guess I'll hoe up the dead moss & sow some grass seed instead. I killed the moss with baking soda but it will probably comeback, always does.
Happy Easter everybody.

Gayle, I love spring and fall but since I don't like heat or cold Ican do without summer and winter. It gets too hot to fast here. Plants dry out and wilt and it's just too miserable for me.

Happy Easter Everyone, DS invited me out for Easter Dinner so of course I went. DGD/DGSIL joined us at the last minute. An added bonus were the parents of grandson in law who were also there. The place was not crowded so we all sat around and visited for about an hour. Marlene

Happy Easter!
I froze at sunrise services this morning. Our chairs were damp from the rain last night.
We are meeting my 2 sisters at 2pm at a restaurant. My sister Delores is heading back to Minnesota tomorrow morning.
Tonight I am playing cards at the clubhouse.
Enjoy your day.

I bet those chairs were cold, Elaine.
Our rain arrived a day early, Started about 4:30 this afternoon. That has become the "witching hour" for rain. Maybe since it arrived a day early, it will quit a day early.
Prior to that I did manage to get some yard work done. Dug up some of the dead moss & sowed grass seed. There is so much of it, I've decided to do it in sections. Got the front corner Iris bed weeded & cleaned up. They didn't bloom well last year. I hope they do better this yr. I was reading that using Bone Meal helps them to bloom. I have some so will try that. I was going to add some compost but nobody has any just plain compost. Started on the slope & got about 3' before the rain started. It was almost time to quit anyway.
Hope everybody has had a nice Easter.
