Good morning! Yay, Friday...! It's clear outside, and the temperature is seasonable at 35°. Leftover pasta dinner was good last night. Tonight we are having fish & chips, veggie rings, and slaw. It's shopping morning. Just need the usual veggies. I just want to get some thin pepper steaks to use on Sunday with the Banana (not hot...just a tiny kick of heat) peppers and onions I cooked yesterday. The peppers were on markdown. Have a good morning! Waving!

Good morning friends. Clear sky this morning. Was looking at lots of stars.
Ann- I am wondering what I can do with a large piece of leftover grilled salmon. Any Ideas?
I am hoping to get another quilt top done today. Half done yestrday but Dan was having a bad day and I had to go in to the Tech Center and run the front of the house at the cafe. They had a port tenderloin or a grilled chicken. Both were very good and I got to bring home the pork for our supper.

Good morning all. 57 and cloudy this morning in MB. We'll only gain a few degrees more today but hopefully it will brighten up a bit. At home it is a sunny 27 and should make it up to a balmy 48 - with probably some rain. They have snow predicted for Su day 🌨. We golfed yesterday but neither of us was happy with our game. Very pleasant company to play with but it was a pretty tough course! Had a couple of errands to run afterwards so didn’t get to the grocery store - should do that today. I'd help with l/o salmon Chris 😃! How about with a Ceasar salad for a quick, no work supper? Hope Dan has a better day today. Happy shopping Ann. Have a fabulous Friday.

Chris, I had the same thought as Tasty -- use it on a salad. Then I also thought of salmon stew -- I've never had it, but my DBIL loves it. It's basically a chowder-like base of milk and butter, with canned (or in your case, leftover) flaked salmon added. Like oyster stew, but with salmon.
Ann, I hope you find just what you want this morning. Fish & chips sounds good.
Tasty, hope you get some sunshine today. We are cloudy right now and looking for rain this afternoon and evening, and heavy rain tomorrow. Keeping my raincoat handy.

Good morning. Its already been one, lol. I took Cookie outside to our backyard as soon as we got up,well she wouldn't go so I threw on some clothes but no shoes and walked with her some but still nothing. So came in and put shoes and a coat on and took her to the dog park where she went right away. Then we went to her house so I could feed Fluffer the Ferrell cat. She banged her head trying to get into her doggie door, the poor thing.its been a long day already and it's only 7am.
I am soon going to go walk Coco when I warm up some. It's only 53° out there. We have shuffleboard this morning.
Ann-what are veggies rings?
Chris- I hope Dan has a better day today. That is great that the school lets you bring food home. We were never aloud to. We couldnt even take used aluminum foil home..
Tasty- I hope you get some sunshine today. Yesterday we had a couple of spr8nkles but not enough for dh to even come in the house. He sat outside reading the newspaper .
Elza-you are probably at work by now. I hope your day goes smoothly.

Good morning
Out and back and starting my second cup of coffee and the last of the cookies. This morning I'll have to bake cookies before anything else. Heaven forbid I have to start my day without my cookies. It's either bake or take Christmas cookies out of the freezer. I guess that would work too. The heat is rolling in for next week so the baking times will be limited to early mornings for awhile, then no baking. Farmers almanac said record heat for most of the country. Ugh. I'll finish pricing for the patio sale and I need to make a run to the bank for a little change, incase I sell anything. I don't have my hopes up very high. Most people just look. Oh and I'll put out my greeting cards too.
This morning Lincoln sent me a picture of him in the senate chamber of the State Capitol. He has been working there the last three weeks. So I have some really cool pictures of the inside. The pic this morning he was making a silly face and he looked so like his dad. LOL
Today I'm thinking tacos for supper. I'm not a fan of Mexican food, that is putting it mildly. But I'll eat a hard shell taco once in great awhile. Our son got me wanting a taco since he and his wife made Mexican food all week. They love to cook. Anyway, if my taco shells are still good that is what my supper will be. Lunch may be non existent since I have a lot to do today and once I get going I better not stop.
Ann, thanks for the reminder, I want to add red and yellow peppers to my grocery order. I'm so hungry for a stuffed pepper.
Chris good luck with the quilt top. I so miss quilting.
Tasty, sorry about the golf game, but if you had fun then it's a win.
Good morning Elza, have a wonderful day.
Weebill, I know how frustrating it can be when the doggo won't do its job. Didn't your feet get cold without shoes? I still dress quite warmly and can't imagine going out without shoes yet. hehehe
Time to get my usual morning chores done and start on the to do list.

**Morning, again! Home from shopping...not many bargains. Got a cauliflower on the sale cart for 99¢! I opted to buy a small eye round roast and have it thin sliced for pepper steaks. Will use some for Sunday's sandwiches and freeze in portions for more meals. Already snapped and blanched green beans and par-cooked the cauliflower. All is put away and I'm sitting for a spell. Chris - I was going to suggest you use the salmon as you would tuna and make salmon salad. Then I remembered a recipe that Valerie Bertinelli made for Salmon Niçoise salad. It was really delicious...great ratings. www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/valerie-bertinelli/cold-poached-salmon-nicoise-salad-with-crispy-potatoes-11448081 Hope Dan is doing better today. Lori - The pressure is on me to keep going through things, but I easily get distracted, too!!! Elaine - Green Giant makes veggie fries and veggie rings. They are really good, I think. Have to make slaw for supper. I like to blend it and let it sit. Waving!

I used White Pages to look up Marlene's phone #. Gives this number for Marlene Johnson . I tried calling No answer this time or maybe, she didn't recognize caller ID.
Ann sorry I took Marlene's phone # off but it isn't a good idea to post anyone's phone number or address on this site. It is public and anyone can see it. Even if she had done it I would have removed it. If anyone here wants what you found they can send you a private message.

Goodness, there's been a busy morning here. The aid came in earlier than usual so I was able to be done with breakfast by order to 8 so I thought I would have time to do some other things. Then became the parade of people getting my test results for my procedure next Thursday. They come to your room to do it so it's not and inconvenience. I had an EKG, chest x-ray, and blood drawn by 3 different visits so I should be ready for next week.
My niece coming for a visit this afternoon but she texted me that she would be at the hospital with her mother-in-law. Her husband is out of town or he would have done it. She has CLL and platelet infusion. So we will have to visit another day. This girl has been so busy this spring with her mother, MIL and me. I hope things quiet down.
It's a beautiful afternoon here today. I hope this nice weather continues for a while. Has been bringing out the deer who have been parading in front of us while we eat our dinner. Have a good day all.

Birdy, it looks like you are being well taken care of for you prep for Thursday. Good to see you here. I check everyday to see you have been on reading. I am not sure what is going on with my birds but all winter I had to fill my 2 BOSS tubes every 2 days. For the past week they are devouring them daily. What's up with that?

I ordered a fish sandwich and a hot fudge sundae at Freddys for lunch. Didn't care for the sandwich. In fact, I threw it out. Oh, I forgot there was also an extra sack of an abundance of onion rings. Now, that was a winner. Stashed some for later. I was awake much earlier than usual. It was thundering with a steady rainfall. Enjoyed that a little and then made a cup of coffee to settle in with my computer. Amazing how much I can get caught up in every day. Hi Birdy! What's the first thing you want to eat when you can again? Well, I'll crisp up some onion rings for supper and that will do it. Hugs

HI, just checking in before we leave for Bible study. I am taking lil smokies in bbq sauce.
Just a usual Friday here. Rain off and on all morning, but sunny now.
Always good to hear from Birdy. I went to Marlene's facebook page and checked her 2 DD's pages to see if they mentioned anything about her, but did not see anything.
The woman named Marge, who I have mentioned before, passed away this morning. She was instrumental in getting the thrift store going, and she handled our advertising. There will be a memorial service at Care on the 19th.
Need to run and get ready to leave. Sleep well.
