Morning! It's cloudy and warm out there with heavy rain on the way. We enjoyed the leftover turkey dinner last night. The turkey was so moist and tender. Tonight we will have Impossible burgers, sautéed potatoes, and Tuscan asparagus. Bill won't be walking in the rain this morning. I'll go to the senior center. Have bank errands to do today. Have to consolidate funds for the big pay coming up!! Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning. It is 37°here this morning and going to mid 40's with rain. right now it is very foggy and am hoping it clears up before too long as I want to leave early so I can get some work done before I have my bone scan this morning. Nothing much else going on today. It will depend how much work I decide to do if I get anything done here when I get home.
Ann, we are suppose to get some heavy rain today also.
Have a great day.

Good morning fiends.
Ann- We are supposed to get a lot of rain here too. Glad the turkey was so good. I have 2 legs still in my freezer and I just might make some turkey noodle soup with them this week. We had grilled salmon and sweet potatoes last night.
Bet- I hope you are well on your way to work and get it done quickly and get to the bone scan. Not sure what I will get done today either! LOL
No real plans for today. I do want to get a quilt top done and the binding hand sewn on the 2 baby quilts today. I may make a firefighters blanket with some flannel I found.

Chris, the car is running and warming up and I am out the door. BTW I like the french fries that I frozen and they are chrispy when cooked. I am going to try them in the air fryer again to night and see I put a little oil on them if they will brown better. I did buy a crinkle cutter so will cook those tonight and see if they are better than the ones done with the serrated knife. I will try to get the recipe posted here tonight.

It started raining last night before I went to bed, and I don't think it's stopped since! It's not a hard rain, just steady. It shouldn't keep DH from getting the windshield replaced on his truck, though, since it's in the garage.
We had lasagna again last night -- the leftovers are just as good! We'll probably go out tonight after choir. I'm ready for Mexican. The place we usually go has a grilled chicken taco salad that is my favorite.
Other than that, not much going on. Back to work this morning but only till 2. After a year, I'm still so happy about that. 😊
Waving to Ann, Bet, Chris, and everybody else ~

Good morning. Guess it is a rainy day all thru the east. It rained at home they the night and will be what I call a nothing day. The temperature will be between 43 and 45 and cloudy all day. Here in MB we are in for a wet morning with maybe a few showers in the afternoon but the sun might also show up a little. 61 - 68, so not cold, but not very inviting either. Time is getting close Ann when they want money! Exciting and scary all at the same time. The turkey dinner really sounds good. How are you doing, using up freezer contents? Sounds like you're going to have lots of quilts Chris - will you be doing the craft fairs again this year? Have never tapped maple trees altho where we live lots do and we buy local syrup when we can. Good luck with yours. Hope today goes smoothly Bet and you get done in decent time. No plans as yet for the day, altho grocery shopping could be part of the day. We are running out of stuff and that's not what I'm used too. The only things I run low on at home are fresh fruits and veggies. Have a wonderful Wednesday 🌂.

Taco salad is one of my favourites too Elza altho I usually use ground beef. I hear you on enjoying the part time hours. I took early retirement back in 2004, and then we were able to spend more time in the area we are now living in. By July of that year, I was working a few hours when needed at the bank in town. By the end of that year I had 15 hours a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) which left me nice long weekends to spend either at home or in the city, wherever hubby needed to be. Did that for 5 years and then quit and have never looked back 😊.

Friends, good morning to each of you! Make it a good one! Today my local news says that it is National Frozen Food Day, National Oreo Day, and National White Chocolate Cheesecake Day.
Got my leg squeezing and bike riding done already this morning, as well as my shower. Big load of whites on and soon I will empty the dishwasher from last night. First however, I need to call both my DSIL in Michigan and my cousin in Ohio and wish both gals a Happy Birthday.
Looks like dinner this evening will be leftover soup from for me, while DH finishes ribs, sausage, and sauerkraut from the freezer.
Waving. Hope I can make it back here later to address everyone. Lori

Good morning everyone. Ann, had DD#2 for supper Tuesday night. She was mentioning that she’d tried the soy burgers from Costco. Said you couldn’t tell them from beef burgers after the catsup and other fixings had been added. Have you ever tried them? Bet, best of luck with your bone density test this morning. Hope you get through work without any problems and get home at a decent time. Chris, I see you’re not working this week. Gives you time to get a head start on your sewing before its craft fair time. Emr, wish we had more rain here, badly needed. Although , then they wouldn’t be able to do the controlled burns they’ve been doing the last few weeks. Tasty, 11*F here at 6:30, looking like it will be a nice day, sunny. I hear you on the groceries. We always seem to be running out for produce and dairy. Otherwise, we try to keep the pantry and freezer stocked. I see I haven’t posted the last day or so. Haven’t done much of anything worth posting about. Same old, same old. Don’t want to bore you. Today is much the same. Finished my coffee, time to take our b/pressures and get on with our day. Fish for supper tonight. Jan

Good morning.
This morning I didn't wake up until 7:40. Boy was that a surprise, and I slept good too yet. Mandy was more than ready to go out. We had to leave the pet area early though because the guy with his three big dogs came. I just paid $60 yesterday for Mandy's grooming and didn't want her covered in sand right away. I'll take her out again in about an hour to finish the job. hehehe
Very cloudy, damp and 57º so I didn't need a winter jacket this morning. I light jacket and my morning sweatshirt was enough. Could be mostly cloudy all day with a high of 76º.
When I take Mandy out for the second time we will check and see how the road out front is coming along. Late afternoon I could smell tar so they may have put some down. It has been said that the road may be done Friday. I'll believe that when I see it. But it would be wonderful if it is done then.
Towels to wash today other than that there is nothing on my to do list. Why put anything on the list, I seldom get to it anyway. LOL
I am so hungry for pizza that that is what I'm having for lunch today. Supper had better be something small because I just may pig out on the pizza.

Good morning. I'm just getting ready for shuffleboard. As Mamma said we are cloudy today. I went to a friends house this morning as I am going to feed her Ferrell cat, so she wanted me to meet it. We will also babysit her dog Cookie starting tomorrow thru Saturday. She just adopted this dog a couple months ago. I asked if it slept with her, and yes she does. So we might be having a guest in our bed .lol.
I have laundry going, only one more load but it will wait until after shuffleboard.
Last night we had chili. It was so good.
Tonight is the Riverboat dinner cruise.they are serving Italian, so I decided to wait on the lasagna until next week.I will be going with 2 of my sisters. Bruce will have a frozen pizza that he will doctor up.
Bruce has already left for shuffleboard so i better get going.

Good Afternoon ! It's been a busy couple of days. I gathered up food and delivered it yesterday then DH wanted to go and look at cars, so we did. I found a Rogue that I loved, but DH did not like the price so we left. Another car dealer in a nearby town had a Subaru so we drove over to look at it. It had just been accepted as a trade in so was over in the detail spot. We looked at other cars, and drove a couple. Two we really liked a lot. We did go over and look at the Subaru, but when DH sat in it, it was very tight. He needs a lot of leg room. We ended up buying a Buick Enclave. We loved everything about it. It is a very dark gray, a little darker color than I wanted but we got a good price, so.... We had to go back over today to pick up the car, as it was getting late and their finance dept was closed. After getting the car we drove north and had lunch at the Pickett House. It is an all you can eat fried chicken dinner served family style. No supper needed for us!
It's 81 here today so the ac is blowing and it feels good. Time for a little nap! Have a super day!

Good evening. Just a quick stop. Have been driving in rain and fog all day and am tired. Got home about 2 and have been busy here every since. Work went well except my second store before my 9:30 appointment has always opened at 8. It seems that there opening time last week changed to 9 so had to wait 15 minutes before I could get it. All work out well as the clinic was only a couple of blocks away. The other stores also went well. Managed to do my weekly shopping at 3 grocery stores today so just need to get a few things at Walmart tomorrow.
I have been here reading and catching up but am getting tires. I thing the rain on the roof is trying to put me to sleep. Dinner tonight will be be beef tips from the freezer with mashed potatoes which I need to get on cooking, fresh asparagus and sweet potato dinner rolls. Have a little banana bread left for bedtime snack.
Enjoy your evening. \\Bet
