Had a busy week making stuff with the canning group. 76 meat pies, some vegetarian but most were a pork/beef mix. We baked cookies where the dough had been made last week and frozen, and we packaged so much stuff I've forgotten all that we did do. Then in the afternoon, I went to the visitation for my friend's hubby. She seems to be doing quite well - tomorrow is our group breakfast and she is coming to that so we'll see. This morning I headed over to the freezers at the hospital and got labels on all our baking that needed it then came home and started more baking. And this afternoon we parked hubby's car for the winter. Neither of us is thrilled about it but we have no choice - only one parking spot per condo and no outside parking during the winter months. Now we'll have to plan who goes where when etc. The problems we have to deal with as spoiled people. We managed it last winter so we can do it again.
Hope everyone has had a nice Thanksgiving.

Bet, I second Lori's words about your decision to move. She said it very well and I couldn't improve on that.

Glad you had a good, if brief visit with DD & Lilith Lori. Hope the vaccine causes no issues for you and hubby this time.

Thanks Lori, I guess I just came to the breaking point today but it shouldn't have been on a family holiday.

Tasty, thanks. The thoughts of my friends here mean a lot to me. Good luck with juggling who gets the car. No fighting children. LOL

Bet- I can fully understand where you are at. Dan and I have decided we need to sell our house and go to a single story house as soon as possible for Dan's sake. We built this house and have been here over 30 years! Hard decision to make. Hugs to you!

Thanks Chris. I understand yours and Dan' needs. This was my DH's dream home He only saw about 4 years of it. We moved in 20 years ago and it is difficult. Hugs to you two also.

Bet- We believed we would always be in this house and then leave it to Brian. There is a rafter in the attic that is signed by Brian "I Brian Chapman made this truss on October 17, 1990" LOL Will have to cut it out and take it with us! He was in 8th grade and we were teaching him math (he was home schooled through middle school due to illnesses).

(((Hugs to Bet and Chris))) -- it's hard to make those decisions but it's better to make them yourself than to have them made for you. So I hope you both will get the clarity you need in moving forward and that you will see good things come as a result.
We had a long drive home from the beach but are glad to be back. It was a good trip and we had a wonderful time with all the family at the beach house on Edisto. It has a huge table so everybody could sit at the same table. Also found out that our nephew (the baseball player) and his wife are expecting -- baby is due in April and she already has a little bump! So sweet! We had a video chat with DS2 and then talked to DS1 on our way home.
I'm not even hungry so may just fix a cup of hot tea and go to bed. I don't have to be at work till 12 tomorrow so that's good. DH will probably have to go to urgent care tomorrow as he got into some poison oak last weekend and although it wasn't bad at first, it has been swelling and bothering him the last couple days. Just a few spots on his hand and arm, but it's also on his face so he needs to get that looked at. (It's apparently a trend as DMIL was at urgent care Tuesday night for a UTI -- thankfully, the antibiotics worked quickly and she felt better by the next day.)
Anyway, I'm thankful for my family, for safe travel, and for all y'all!
