Good morning All................hi Dave..............
70 this morning and 84 later. Raining on and off. According to the weatherman, it is to rain on and off until Saturday sometime. We only got half an inch last evening but the way it looked, it could have been worse.
Just work for me today. Not sure what i will do before i go..............if anything. LOL

Good morning.
The weather has been crazy. It was in the mid 90s yesterday and today the high is going to be 69°. In western South Dakota, Custer will be 38° Tonight. As usual our cities rainfall was different for all sides of town. Two sides of town got an inch of rain last night where is my side of town got a few sprinkles but we do have an 80% chance of rain today yet.
I will only work five hours today and then I have an eye appointment to get my new glasses so that I can get my drivers license renewed next week. I would never pass that I exam if I went To get my license right now.
I may go to my boys softball game tonight since it will be cool out. I am looking forward to working out in the yard this weekend!

Good morning! Glad it's Friday and the work week is over. It's been along one. Tried to mow the lawn yesterday and after getting the mower fixed they forgot to put a bracket on the deck. Well It was n't mowing close enough to the grass. I was wasting gas driving around the yard. I called the guy and he is coming this morning to either fix it or take it back to the shop. Which I better not get charged for. If I was strong enough I might of been able to fix it myself.
Going to a amusement park tomorrow rides and water rides. I don't like rides any more but dd wanted to go before college started. I told her she could take a friend and I would pay for it but she wants mom. AWWWW! She is a sweetheart!

Quite a cool mid 60s at the moment but should be mid 80s by the afternoon and feeling close to 100 - yuk!
Not sure what is on the agenda yet!

Good morning everyone. Since I am retired the phrase TGIF doesn't mean as much as it used to...lol. As Larry reported, we will be getting thunderstorms off and on throughout today and tonight. I guess that means I should find indoor projects to keep me busy. There are plenty of them, but I will see if the spirit moves me.
I spoke with Alma on the phone last night and hopefully she will be back here today. She was going to wait to activate this morning when she could find the email sent to her. She is loving her new place. I am so glad to hear that.
I enjoy the cooler temps this morning. I have already set up the plants that the storm blew over and whirled around last night. They just had a few broken branches, so that's not so bad.
Rain has been very spotty here as well. Lily is staying 3 miles north of town and the other night when we had ½ inch of rain, they got 4 inches. It really looked dark that way last night, too, so curious how much they got.
Waving at all of you. I read the chit chat before coming here....good to see Vi joining us there last night. I had missed her in the "My Story" thread. She lives close to Leroy and Auntcon in NE.
Karen...your story mad perfect sense to me...and I remember you clarifying that for me one other time.

Good morning everyone. Another hot & humid day here. Have a family reunion on my father's side tomorrow that my older brother is dragging me to so taking macaroni salad and cooked the macaroni early so it won't heat up the house. Ac is set on 78 which is comfortable for me since I hate being cold so it won't kick on till around noon. Have a great day

A quick good morning. I need to dress and get dd to volleyball at 9. I slept like crap last night. Ds and his gf drove south of the cities to go to an amusement park today. Her family was there already but she had to work until 9:30. Hated to see them on the road so late, so I stayed up so they could text me every hour to know they were ok. I dozed on and off from 10-2 when they got there. Then I was up until 4 before I could sleep. My shoulder and elbow were both hurting as well. Ugh!
After lunch dd and I will go to my moms for the weekend. Dh has to work a while tomorrow. I need to go to wm this morning and get supplies for making mincemeat. I have to work on Monday so won't come home too late Sunday.

Good morning. It was another wacky sleeping night around here. I had to make a couple of trips to the potty before the alarm went off at 4:30 to make sure DH was up. I must have overdone it on the water throughout the day. This two hours of sleep here and there is getting old. I guess we are to continue being hot and humid until Sunday so I will only go outdoors when necessary until then. I have plenty I could do in the house anyway. Laundry is always calling my name, and I really would like to spend some time in the kitchen today being creative. How scary! Watch out DH!!! LOL!
I am so loving all the participation on the morning and evening threads. This new forum has truly exceeded my expectations for what we could have after the news from TOH. I hope new friends just keep coming to the Shed!

Good morning! Perfect day...no rain, nice sun, but just a tad humid. I can't complain.
The minute I finished breakfast I went out weeding. Two hours later, I had had it.
What a back breaking job. As per that quote from ez....maybe the weeds are an
unloved flower....Perhaps if there were fewer they might get more affection...lol
After lunch...more weeding. I need to do some housecleaning at some point.
Later on some knitting. I try to keep busy.

what do want to know just trying to post a picture was easy this is my tractor and my nice nephew 35 years ago dave That is exactly what I wanted to know...whose tractor and who was on it. Do you still have that Massey Ferguson? There was a farmer who collected them here. He passed about 1 month ago and his grandsons drove all of them in his funeral procession....18 of them....and yes, he has that many grandsons since he had 12 children. Thanks for the information and for sharing the picture. |
