Good morning. It was 49°overnight and suppose to hit 80°again today. I have been up since 5:30 as usual. Have been checking emails etc., had my shower and packed my briefcase with what paper work I need for work. Just waiting for my hair to dry. I have 3 jobs that I want to get done before I head for the city for my Dr.'s appointment. On my way home will stop for a couple of sale items at one store. I thought it was only potatoes but T paper is also on sale with coupons.
Have a great day.

Good morning all. 69° and sunny. I'm sitting at the lab for blood work so I thought I'd check in. Not much to report though so I'll wish you all a nice day.

Good morning everyone. It is a comfortable 61º this morning, but a predicted 88º later. Have I mentioned that I don't like these days in the upper 80s? Far too hot for May! At least the nights have been cooling off and comfortable for sleeping.
Yesterday morning I ran the vacuum and the dust cloth around. I have officially sworn off dusting again until we get some rain. With my windows open, I could dust every day.
My friend came about 11 to go on a convertible ride. She immediately jumped into the riders seat and told me that I was driving. Okay...I did even though I'm usually uncomfortable driving someone else's vehicle. She let me pick the route, so I took us into SE MN where I know the roads. We didn't travel main roads. but rather got off the beaten path. She was in awe at some of the beautiful country we saw. We traveled 175 miles and got home around 5, stopping for lunch along the way.
I am not sure what I will accomplish today. I have already washed a load of clothes and have them hanging out to dry and I have watered all the pots and baskets on the front porch and deck. My friends will come for lunch today as usual for Tuesday....once I got it in my head that it's Tuesday and not Monday...lol.
Bette...Good luck at your appointment today. I wanted to say good work of the fundraiser over the weekend. That's an impressive amount of money to raise.
Karen...Yay on starting on your garage clean-up. It sounds like an overwhelming job, but you will feel wonderful when it is done! phone

Yesterday I met 3 friends for coffee and later went to Brian's for supper. This was the first memorial day in 16 years that was rain free. This morning I woke up to a wet sidewalk and that kind of rain shower will continue off and on through the day. Rain is badly needed here. Bible study this morning. Since it is a wrap up I volunteered to bring carmel rolls (made with frozen bread dough). After that I will go to the cemetery and remove the flowers. Bet, you have a busy day. Wishing you luck on your doctor's appointment. Charlene, glad you had fun on your ride. "Do something new. It's good for you." Marlene

I am waiting on the results of DH's COVID test that I just gave him. He's had the sniffles since Friday but nothing else. Since he goes nowhere without me and I am not sick, I don't know how he would have contracted COVID. I guess we could have forgotten about a time he was around others, but I usually make him mask if we are out in public. If I get sick, he can't take care of me or him so it is important we stay as healthy as possible. Whatever this is, it is a mystery. He hasn't had allergies, but this is kind of acting like that. As soon as I know what is going on with DH, I have to get outside and water before it gets too hot and the plants won't forgive me for not watering yesterday. My plan for the day is just keep working on what I can in the garage during the daytime. Tonight is our last Bible Study for the summer, so I do want to make that if possible. Charlene, I am banking on that end of the project feeling to fuel me to the end. I've already opened the garage door a couple of times this morning to see the fruits of my labor yesterday. The idea of completing this is exciting. Best wishes, Bet, on work and the doctor's appointment. Love me some coupons! Use 'em while you got 'em. I hope the bloodwork goes smoothly for you, Wendy. Well, it is about time to go check the test. Wish me luck! Have a terrific Tuesday! It feels weird to say that, but I guess yesterday was Monday. LOL! * Test is negative! At least as far as I can tell. There is a sample that showed almost no second line that I could see, but they considered that to be positive because the line was faint. I saw no line. Without other symptoms, I am diagnosing him as clear.

Good morning. 62 with a high of 76. We have a slight chance of scattered rain/Tstorms but looking at the radar we are likley in the clear unless something pops up. That will be good as there are LOTS of softball games today.
Yesterday was another busy day. Seems thats all we have. We went shopping early for concessions food as well as groceries for our own family. We went up to the ball field to drop the stuff off and prep a few things for today. Once we got home we went outside. I got the rolling cart shelves cleaned off that I had plants, and lots of now empty pots/cells, sitting on. We then sorted a large pile of stuff thats been taking up space in the garage. Dh moved the boat in to the front garage this weekend where it stays for the summer. We now just need to get it ready for our fishing trip next week. I did a lit of watering again yesterday. We are very dry which is crazy with as much water as we had to deal with a month ago. Very low humidity, very warm temps and plenty of wind. Not typical May weather and the early blooming plants aren’t doing the best in the heat.
Today I have some bean seeds to get planted that I forgot about. I meant to start them in pots a month ago so may not be successful but will still try. I had to soak them overnight. I should toss in a load of laundry as well. I plan to head to concessions just after 10, with first games at 11. Our school is hosting both A and AAA games today. Our girls play at 4 so we recruited some help. We got lucky to win Saturday and get to play a section semi final at home today. The games would have been here regardless if we had won or not. The high school I graduated from will be playing this morning in the section A tournament. They are undefeated and have 10 runned their opponents so far, even in playoffs. Should be a busy day up there. I told dd to remember to have fun today.
Charlene-What a fun day you had!
Guess I better get moving if I’m going to accomplish anything before I leave today. Have a great day.

Good Morning,
Another damp, chilly, deary, yucky kind of day. A small shower this morning , 64* & still windy. "I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when". Now that song will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
Mary, sounds like you're feeling better.
Karen, probably just a head cold. He could have picked it up anywhere, even with a mask. Or you could have brought it home with you. Or maybe somebody that came to the house recently.
Nothing going on here.
Guess I'll run the vacuum in a bit & get back to cleaning out files. I was thinking about going grocery shopping but my check hasn't hit the bank yet so that's a no go.

Never made it here yesterday. Went to my sons for a picnic and when I got home I was tired. Went to the grocery store this morning. Did not even sit down for coffee, just dressed and left. If I sit and have breakfast, I can talk myself out of going and I needed some things. Came home and put things away and then had something to eat and as I bought ice cream, I had some of that. I did go out and water plants but it is breezy out so sitting on the balcony won't be in the cards at least not at the present time. Have a good day all.

Good evening. Just stopping by to read. Too tired to do anything else. DR.'s appointment went well another CT scan and appointment with him in a year. Came home and watered the greenhouses and got food thawed out to cook for dinner. Dinner, getting prone and TV is very short order I hope.
Enjoy your evening.

Good evening. It was in the 80s today. I guess Gayle now has our yucky weather from Sunday. They took me to lunch today as a retirement lunch. I took advantage of the chance and had a steak, but just a 6 ounce. My coworker didn't go. He was hit with a kidney stone Sunday and was in pain. He finally went home shortly after lunch. His son graduates from high school Friday so I hope he gets some relief soon. Three days to go. My old boss asked me at lunch how long of a break I want from them before they call me back.
Charlene, sounds like you had a wonderful trip.
Karen, sometimes we never know where we pick up germs. I had no clue where I got covid as careful as I am. Except for work I'm not around other people as much as you seem to be, but I got it from somewhere.
Have a good night.

A real busy day canning - 12 dozen jars today! All but one dozen was jam so that should satisfy our sweet toothed customers for a while! We have also been approved for a grant which will let us rent the commercial kitchen again in the fall as we prepare for our last big sale of the year 🙂. A good day indeed!

The rain finally stopped just before dark. Almost another 1/2" today. The next few days are supposed to be dry & warmer. I sure hope so.
I ran the vacuum & that was about the only thing I accomplished today.
