Good morning. It is 36°this morning and is to be in the low 60's today with some sun. Then back into the mid 30's again tonight. We did get .29" of rain last night. I managed to get the last 2 Lemon Blueberry cheese cakes baked yesterday and some things cleaned up that I had brought home form the garage sale. They will go back today. One thing that I think I am keeping is a Nija air fryer. I tried it out last night and it is better than what I counter top oven does but not sure I need anything that big and can't find a convenient place to store it so may take it back to sell. I will think on it for a bit. I think I finally got rested up by not going to work yesterday. Was in bed early and finally up this morning at 5:30 my usual. I will be at the Boathouse until noon. Come home, change my clothes and head to work. Only a couple of hours of work but also a couple of hours but unfortunately also 2 hours of driving. I am going to the greenhouse today also.
Have a great day.

Good morning! Nice bright sunshine but cool a high of 60. Nothing will grow at these temps. They say a warm up this weekend. Charlene yes I'm on vacation. Feels good to take my time getting things done around the house.
Today I think I will do odd jobs. Need to move my picnic table back into the garage so I can get the weeds that have grown by the house. The weeds are growing fast this year. Have some errands to do also and mowing out back. Should keep me busy all day.
Have a good day.

Good morning. We were 40 overnight. Hopefully the last night that cool. Plants were all fine. High today of 75 so that will be nice.
Yesterday morning I got the concessions shopping done then went up there to deliver all the stuff as well as organize. We had gotten our pepsi delivery so there were 18 cases of pop and gaterade to put away. When I came home I decided to be lazy since it was raining and cold, and read and watched tv until I had to leave. I needed a rest! By the time we were home last night it was 7:30.
This morning I have 4 dzn brats to cook to bring up. I plan to be there about 10. Games start at 11. Trying to time it so that I can bring them up warm and get them right in to my roaster. We do have a grill up there so could have dh finish them up there that way. I plan to boil them to cook them thru at home. My day will be spent in concessions.
Wishing everyone a great day.

Good morning all. We started our day going out for brekkie - nice and lazy and a good breakfast! May go and look for some new living room furniture later this morning. I will be glad when we have been all thru, downsizing, replacing, decorating etc. I think the end is in sight - I know the bank balance will be glad when we get done.
Hope you have a good day at the concessions Melissa - nice weather for it rather than yesterday's cold and rain. Strange how the weeds will grow at those temperatures Sandy but not the flowers we tend so lovingly. we're only in the 40s this morning but the sun is shining beautifully. By Sunday we'll be in the 70s and sunny all day long - just perfect for the market.
Wishing you all a great day.

Good morning everyone. It is 49º this morning and only 72º as the predicted high for the day. It will be a good day to start my mowing/trimming and comfortable in jeans. I always wear jeans when doing that as I don't like all the debris flying at my legs when trimming.
Yesterday I took curt to the doctor and then the guy came and got his 40 tomato plants. I still have quite a few left, but won't take them to the food bank quite yet. I promised a friend tomato plants and she said she'd like some, but right now she has bigger fish to fry since her husband is on hospice and not expected to make it through the weekend. I certainly don't want to bug her about tomato plants right now.
Mid afternoon I went and worked more at the landscaping in my 92 yr old neighbor lady's house.
I wish I would have been born Mennonite.....lol. Mid mornig yesterday I was in the north hostas beds. A young Mennonite couple moved in across the street last fall. 5 cars pulled up and 5 ladies got out with pails and rags. They proceeded to wash all of the windows in my neighbor's house all the while laughing and talking. When they were finished, they had a picnic in her yard. 1 lady walked over and visited and she said this group of 6 friends do this for each other and every day move on to another house. Once they have finished all of their homes, they help some of the elderly in their church that aren't able to wash their own windows. What a great idea! She said it is fun and fellowship combined.
Bette...I know you will be happy when the garage sale is over. DD and DS both have the Ninja brans air fryer and seem to love them. I'm not even sure what brand I have, but it serves me well. It's only a 6 quart so isn't huge.
Sandy...I remember those stay at home and get things done vacations. They are sometimes more relaxing and rewarding than traveling.
I need to get my garbage out. Wishing everyone a great day. Charlene

We are in for a breezy and cool day today. Won't get out of the low 60s for our high. Tomorrow we expect to get to 70, so that will be an improvement. Within the week, it is still expected we will probably get near 90, if not hit it. No rain during that time, either. The green grass is going to dry out pretty quickly at this rate. I may have to bite the bullet and water the transplants and seedlings some today, but otherwise I am doing inside stuff. The inside stuff I am probably doing will be finishing the alphabetizing of DH's Blu-Ray collection. He's been fussing about that for a while now. Time to get it off my list. One issue I am finding with this alphabetizing thing, though, is he keeps wanting new stuff. If we don't immediately add it to the list, it will have been a waste to have done at all. Ugh. I also will need to hit the store for a couple of things we are low on like paper products. We go through facial tissues like poop through a goose. I can only rely on the pocket tissues packs I got from CVS for so long. I will probably start with the store when I am done here because I also have to hit the bank for money for DH. He is going to go to lunch either today or tomorrow with a friend he used to work with at the city. I have to have cash to give him or he will be asking about getting him a credit card or debit card. We don't need that debate again! I got a text from DDIL last night thanking me for the encouraging card I sent her regarding her upcoming MBA graduation. I sent it the same time as her Mother's Day card(s), but felt it appropriate since she had an exam on Mother's Day. She was so overwhelmed at the time dealing with school, Mac, and DSon being sick all at once. Poor girl! Yesterday she turned in her final exam and is done with everything. The only thing left is the graduation ceremony in June. I told her to tell DSon that I want pictures. I'm very proud of her! She worked full-time while taking her classes and continued to raise an active toddler all at the same time. I went back to school when my kids were raised and I only worked part-time. What she did is amazing to me! Bet, glad you got the cheesecakes baked and behind you now. I am envious of your rainfall. Appliances on our counters is such a dilemma, isn't it? We are pretty much wall to wall with countertop appliances. DM gave DSon a large toaster oven when he went off to college. He didn't want it because it was too big, so we kept it. I have used that thing so much over the years, but it does take up a lot of space. Good luck deciding what to do with the air fryer. Enjoy your vacation, Sandy! It is nice to be able to leisurely do things. Well, I better get dressed and out the door in case DH's friend calls to say they are going to lunch earlier than I think they are. Wishing everyone a good day!

I've already started some of the trimming and will go out soon to mow. There is no dew this morning so will be nice to mow while it's cooler.
Melissa...Are you able to watch the games while working in the concession stand? Ours is located behind the bleachers, so that's not an option here.
Tasty...I bet you are anxious to have all of the changes done in your new place. I'm certain it hasn't been cheap...nothing is, but will be nice to done.
Mary...Oh no on being sick. I think rhino virus can be serious, so good you got medical attention asap.
Karen...Congrats to DDIL! That is an amazing achievement especially given her busy life while doing so. phone

Good Morning, Woke up at 4 a.m and could not get back to sleep. After coffee yesterday I spent 2 + hours on the riding mower and finished my lawn and 3/4 of the lawn at the farm. It was a dirty and windy job but I'm glad it is done. I had planned to hang out the wash this morning but it is so windy that the clothes would probably blow off the line and into the next county. So into the dryer they went. Granddaughter Allison and daughter Beth had both asked for soft raisin cookies. I found a recipe on the web and have those made for when they come tomorrow to paint my kitchen. I HATE painting! Bet, I don't have a nija air fryer and agree with you that they are hard to store. I finally found a spot in my pots/pan cupboard. Sandy, enjoy your vacation. Melissa, another busy day for you. I hope everyone values all your volunteer work. Do something new. It's good for you. I went to the doctor yesterday and today we went to Tea and shopping. Now I am tired. The sun is shining brightly but the temp is only up to 73° and there is quite a breeze going. Sitting on the balcony would not be fun for me today. Have a good day everyone.
