I just finished True Believer by Nicholas Sparks. Didn't think it was his best. Am in line to get At First Sight, the sequel.
Downloaded What's Left Behind by Lorrie Thomson.
What are y'all reading?

I am reading some sci fi/ fantasy series right now. I'm halfway thru United as One, the final book in the I am number four series. Pretty good so far. When I finish I will start the 5th book in Karen Monings Fever series (fantasy). I've enjoyed this series as well.

As I am going to be living with my DS/DIL for the next two weeks and they have no Internet, I picked up an armful of Debbie Macomber books at the library. No one will be around all day and I don't care for TV, so expect I'll run out of books quickly! I prefer cozy mysteries, but these are good for a change. Lily

I've been stalled on The Black Widow by Dan Silva. I'm hoping to get this one finished very soon. Can't believe it's taken me so long when I was so anxious to get this book!
I have the two Nicholas Sparks books you mentioned, Bee. I may be like you & not think too much of them & if that happens I'll be hitting the old delete key! No more forcing myself to read to the final page!

Angela, I'm usually like that also. The story was okay, just not his best.
Learning I didn't have to read a book if it didn't hook me right off --- was one of the most freeing things I ever learned.

It hasn't been all that long since I decided I didn't have to read a book if I didn't like it! I only recall one book from long ago that I just couldn't force myself to read & the bad thing about it was that the author was a local person whose books were raved about! So glad we have freed ourselves from hours of horrible reading! 😊

Glad to see this thread here. I always responded to the one on Backyard but is was an ongoing one & got pretty lengthy. Maybe we can do this one once a week? JMO
Anyway along with being an avid gardener I am also an avid reader. Stephen King is my favorite but I like several others. Who is your favorite?
Lily, I like Debbie Macomber but I've read all my small library has.
Speaking of the library, I went today picked up a few books. I'm just starting a new one by Heather Graham called Deadly Fate

I don't care for Stephen King. I do like Michael Connelly, Dan Silva & others who write that Ilk. Usually I need to have a lighter book mixed in now & again as some of those are heavy going. I have enjoyed Debbie Macomber, Kristin Hannah & so many others. My poor old pea brain has a hard time remembering authors & titles! 😊 Thank goodness for my spreadsheets since 2013!

I am just starting "Depraved Heart" by Patricia Cornwell. I'm sure I will not be disappointed, I have enjoyed all her books in the In the Scarpetta Series.

I just finished the 9th and last book of Robyn Carr's Thunderpoint series. I don't see any new releases coming for this series. I hope there will be more. I enjoyed her Virgin River series in the past.

I read Stephen Kings book 11/23/63 and finished it last week. What a great book. Cried at the end and I never do that for his books. He is my favorite author and then its Dean Koontz. This week I am reading a book by Bentley Little call Disappearance. Its interesting so far

Wow Gayle. I would have never taken you as a Stephen King fan, so you've just surprised me! lol I like James Pattersons Womens Murder Club Series, Charlaine Harris, Richard Castles Heat Series, I love Cassandra Clare and Maggie Stiefvater (who are more young adult fantasy, tho sadly admit I really enjoy that genre). I have been enjoying the writing style of Karen Marie Moning as well.
