Have you all planned your Thanksgiving Dinner yet? I am going to cook a turkey breast this year since there will probably only be 3 of us here. Going to try a new green bean dish but that is as far as I have gotten. Think I will make an Apple Crumble pie for dessert. Want to share some ideas?

Have the menu ready to go and actually started buying some of the groceries depending on sales that have been running the past two weeks. I pick up a lot of items at Aldi and as they tend to be seasonal it's nice to get them as they appear and avoid being disappointed if they run out. I love the sights and smells of this time of the year.

The menu is the same every year. The only thing that varies is the dessert or goodies. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing/stuffing, CRANBERRIES, fruit salad (grapes, apples, bananas, Cool Whip), corn, Grands Biscuits with honey.
I've been asked three times by my DS if I had raw cranberries; do you need cranberries; did you get cranberries. I said, "Yes, they're in the freezer." God forbid there was ever a cranberry crop failure. This is what some call cranberry relish. It's ground raw cranberries, apples, orange, sugar. I used to make one bag way back when the kids were little and the bags were still an actual 16 oz. bag, not the 12 oz. Now, the family has grown, so I have to make 2 lbs. of raw cranberries. They expect there to be leftover cranberries to take home. They want other leftovers also, but the cranberries are the most important.

Our Thanksgiving is up in the air since DGD is going into the hospital to have the Baby on Monday. She wants it at her house and I don't see how she thinks she is going to pull it off. I suggested they wait until at least the weekend if they wanted a family gathering. I think I will thaw my turkey and have it ready to cook if we don't all get together on Thursday. I know DS and gang will come. Everyone else is invited. Time will tell.

My gosh, Grace and I have identical menus, except someone will want ham, too. Even the cranberry recipe is the same.
